  1. Past hour
  2. If he was a good fit for the centre of the three I would maybe be open to risking Carter, but him and Miller are good RCBs but I dont think they really have the head up style that you need in that centre CB role. I would definitely be looking more at Pickering for LCB - he has done that role well before. Riberio just doesn't seem a good choice imo. Not as comfortable in the air and physically one on one.
  3. Fancy posting page by page so I don't have to buy it 😄
  4. Didn't Pickering do ok on the left of a back three at some point last season?
  5. I picked mind up yesterday. Although I have only skimmed through it the quality of it is excellent. As for the content from my ten minutes looking through it that looks good.
  6. Adam Wharton finally in. Good to see Scott there too. He's another player with potential
  7. It probably isnt, but expectations will be low, even if they come down theyll have money to come back up, his wage will still likely be higher especially now but even if they go down, its a club he clearly has an affinity to. As opposed to at Boro where he might go up but theres less than 50% chance.
  8. I know but I wouldn't say its Bank breaking to fund espe not for a championship club
  9. A few on here have purchased them track back a few pages mate
  10. The David May video that he recorded in (checks notes..) Pattaya, was certainly a choice by the club. 😕
  11. Has anybody bought or even seen the new book ? Is it worth buying ?
  12. Doing videos from former players including some proper and true legends in our history is a modern day trend. Ive enjoyed watching them all
  13. Agree fully but remember all such things cost money. If you look at everything they have done none of them cost anything Cheap tatty range of clothing and merchandise for the shop Running off to former players asking them to record videos A fixture against the Old Etonians straight after a league game requiring minimal organisation or effort A book that covers its production costs based on pre-orders Things like you mention: Statues Permanent memorials Fascias Improvements to the ground Big events All require expenditure, pride and effort, all of which disappeared from Ewood Park many years ago.
  14. Pay rise for 6 months. So what? Wolves's squad isn't good enough to stay up IMO. They didnt reinvest well enough in the summer I think he will take Boro up if he stays there and they add 2 or 3 in January
  15. Long way to go yet but two promotions to, one relegation from the Premier League reads a lot better than the inverse. Wolves are a basket case at the minute, no idea why someone would leave a successful, secure job going in all the right direcrions to chance their hand at bailing out the Titanic with a bucket. His past go at being a 'go down but get them back up' manager at Luton hardly ended well either.
  16. Surprised (not really) that there hasn't been any new 150th installments around the ground Return of the timeline, new historical fascias much like the Blackburn end outside, statues between BBE and JW stands. Just so much they could of done
  17. Today
  18. Pay rise, instant chance of Premier League football, going back to a club he spent a lot of time at as a player. Would be understandable rather than crazy.
  19. E-mailing. My 1956 to now life/torture with the Rovers is too scarring/exhilirating not to over-communicate about. I encourage all members of the Rossendale Branch(c.1975) and later the Trust to take part!!
  20. I have been supporting Rovers since the1946/47 season and every football annual of that time described the colours as blue and white quarters. The Ewood top attendance was also listed as 61,783, that has since become 62,522 for some reason
  21. Think it's worth allowing forshaw some game time to adjust to our new found style of play. I've been critical in the past but it's a long tough season and we will need benchers to play their part. Split shift with Montgomery aha aha to ease the legs. Looking forward to this one. Always dubious on a Monday but when Friday hits the butterflies come again lol up the Rovers!
  22. So many wonderful players in that list. I was shocked to see that snake Dougan. In the early fifties we were struggling to avoid relegation to the third division (which would have been for the first time). Quigley and the ageing Langton were game changers as were Kelly, Elvy and Briggs. I've voted for the most obvious ones having to leave out the wonderful fans favourite Ferguson. People think of Garner like I do of Tommy Briggs.
  23. Rushing Carter back to me seems like desperation for the sake of one game before a two week break. Maybe have him on the bench in case anything else goes wrong. Moving McLoughlin in the middle and bringing Riberio on the left seems more sensible to me. Also think he might go with experience with Forshaw rather than Montgomery from the start, and maybe bring his energy on after an hour.
  24. Maybe look at the link for comments about his from a former Rovers vice chairman Walter Hubert.
  25. I am going to be over positive and say a straightforward 2-0 win. The Iceman and his Axe with the goals.
