  1. Past hour
  2. Seemingly wasn't the most popular person with the other players, but was a god to a young me.
  3. Has to be done during a transfer window - so this will probably proof to be right.
  4. He did that quite often.
  5. ‘We were delighted to host 'An Evening with Valérien Ismaël' last night, as part of the club’s ongoing 150th anniversary celebrations. 💙 Thank you to all supporters and #Rovers Business Club members who attended at Ewood Park, making it a thoroughly enjoyable occasion. ‘ Something else that has bugger all to do with the history of the club being ‘celebrated’ in the 151st year.
  6. The best individual goals I've seen by a Rovers player were Tony Field v Watford in 1973 and Mike Ferguson Northampton in November 1965. In many respects they were similar and absolutely fantastic.
  7. I was teasing rather than claiming we will have a great window
  8. Ha, how views differ- there was more than enough to get my teeth into at Kendal I thought. Two Door Cinema Club, The Cribs, The Coral, Doves, The Vaccines, The Libertines, Wolf Alice and Groove Armada. My only complaint with Kendal is that there wasn't nearly enough electronic music and it seemed a bit underprepared when I went, though granted, the last time I was there was 2017, so nigh on a decade ago!
  9. 2 strikers you say? How are Emmanuel and Cauley getting on??????
  10. Low bar or not, let's just see who's right.
  11. Given some of your past predictions, that should mean we have the best January window in years 😉 (which admittedly is a very low bar)
  12. I doubt we are going to make any.
  13. Yep. I’m hoping West Ham are thinking along the lines of, we really do need a win desperately and this is the chance to get one. Also, whilst a win doesn’t do a great deal - a loss really hurts morale.
  14. Looking forward to seeing Powell, looks an exciting prospect who isn't too far off first team football.
  15. Ismael has said we want 2 strikers. We need 2 so that would be correct. - good No mention here of why the signings haven't been made as suggested. - I am sure most of us know Don't see why we suddenly don't need a right wing back. - we probably thought we could get someone who is out of contract at the end of the season on the cheap, but couldn't, so in typical Rovers fashion, will kick that can down the road until summer We badly need a left wing back. - yes
  16. Today
  17. Really great points made on the podcast. I am particularly pleased that it has been recognised how much the coalition care. No need to get your tiny violins out for me but I will give you a bit of background. I currently work a minimum 45hour week. Every spare second at the moment I am giving up my time to try my hardest for the Football Club I love. No funds, just a handful of pasdsonate fans.I knew it would be impossible to get universal approval and knew by standing up, I would get shot at. Those against the boycott all have their own opinions and that is fine. Debate and discussion is fine, but some of the rhetoric myself and other coalition members have faced is not on. I cannot tolerate being called a liar, accused of putting the future of the club in jeopardy and alike. Not on this forum BTW. I accept many people have drawn their lines in the sand and your either with us or against us. That is not a coalition message so the weaponistion of the boycott is from individuals, not from us. We are ofcourse trying to explain our rationale, and appeal for supporters to join us in boycotting. It is also important not to forget the open letter. In it, we asked Pasha to ensure the Raos read it and responded. They have, as always ignore us, as Rory said in the pod, they have boycotted the club long before we have. It can be argued that the club brought this on themselves by not even acknowledging us. We do this because we want owners that care and want the club we fell in love with back. I am thick skinned. I will be fine. But those people who hide behind an Avatar please remember why we are doing it, wether you agree with it or not. And ask yourself, what have you done in your limited own time to try and improve this dying club? As raised in the pod, we all have 1 common goal, a love of Rovers. Lets not forget that.
  18. What Val would have liked and what the board will provide in relation to players / timescales / budgets are likely to be way off we all knew his request for 3 before hull was never going to happen
  19. 2026 gig line up starting to take shape - booked in so far: Maximo Park, Sleaford Mods, Elvana, Geese, Super Furry Animals, Foo Fighters, Alanis Morissette, Pet Shop Boys, CMAT, Kendal Calling (although the line-up's a bit shit - especially the headliners), The Cure.
  20. Ismael has said we want 2 strikers. We need 2 so that would be correct. No mention here of why the signings havent been made as suggested. Dont see why we suddenly dont need a right wing back. We badly need a left wing back.
  21. First Choice - Let No Man Put Asunder
  22. It's 100x times better than the one they're selling this season. I wish I'd been old enough to get one at the time.
  23. That was Kargbo’s selling point and can’t say that has worked out yet. The club need to be looking for another Andi Weimann type to get us to the end of the season. Experienced championship goalscorer and not keep gambling on Belgian & mid table Scottish clubs surplus players. If Gueye goes, I’d argue we need two strikers in, not one. Can’t be relying on Henriksson to fill in that strikers role.
  24. should have been able to convert Toth at the beginning of January Gueye qualified for a standard work permit, Kargbo, Henriksson & Baradji are the other ESC slots
  25. Ah yes, I remember about Gueye now. Shows how pointless the point system is when someone like Gueye automatically qualifies but a better player, like Toth for example, doesn't. I'd imagine they'll get that Toth paperwork sorted..right after the window closes.
