  1. Past hour
  2. Just fed up of McLoughlin to be honest, opening goal today down to a combo of him and Pears
  3. Yeah, this. You can see the intent / frustration; he's trying to make things happen, but he's trying too hard. If he had a little sprinkle of quality around / in front of him, it's a different result. He was our outstanding player pre-injury and we shouldn't forget that, though he was also dog shit today.
  4. I think it would be incredibly risky to drop McLoughlin and play a back 3 entirely of youngsters whereby O'Riordan would be the most experienced yet has barely played at this level. McLoughlin is no great shakes, but with that level of experience in the back 3 I think they'd be far too error prone. His experience would help keep the shape better and have a better sense of where to sniff out danger. God we are in dire straits that we are even discussing this.
  5. If someone wins man of the match with a score of any less than 7, then the entire matchday squad (and coaching staff, management etc) should present themselves to be pelted with rotten fruit
  6. There were pretty persistent rumours that a Middle Eastern club wanted Gueye.
  7. Then why don’t he fuck off and let Johnson have a go ?
  8. Not at all known it for ages but I think this comment is now more of a long term fucked 😂
  9. Currently leading the BRFCS poll so make sure you vote 😆 https://www.brfcs.com/football/match/1386845/blackburn-wrexham
  10. We somehow seem worse with him in the team lately which is bizarre. The whole formation wants binning for me. It might suit scrappy away wins but at home it’s failed time and time again. What’s the point in having 5 defenders if we concede 2 at home in the first half? It doesn’t suit players like Cantwell and creates us very little chances. Lack of movement in front of him or runners from midfield give him no options to thread onto.
  11. Connections to Steve Kean and Adam Owen. Gestede/Pasha happy to play along. I am sure someone benefitted along the way
  12. ...the lowest point of the entire wretched Venky's ownership so far!
  13. So would Hyam , whoever agreed that sale should be sacked !
  14. Make no mistake, this is the lowest point of the entire wretched Venky’s ownership. Even in the Kean/Anderson days there were at least some people at the club with the right intentions. These are now practically non-existent. The old argument of “hardworking staff behind the scenes” is dead. They have either been forced out already or are so scared of being so that they are beaten into submission. There might be the odd one, but by and large Suhail has created a culture of fear. The people with the most power at the club - Suhail, Gestede, Yasir Sufi - all have their own agendas, none of which are about a successful football club. We’ve got a poor manager who I hope does his usually trick of giving up when the going gets tough. And do we have a single player who ticks all these three boxes: Likeable, up to standard, resilient enough to play a full season? It’s little wonder apathy has completely taken hold, but we really need to get angry. It’s harder and harder to keep caring, but let’s keep our hatred for those responsible burning. Now is the time to make a stand by whatever means we can.
  15. We've lost Gudjonson and Alebiosu since he came back, which obviously hasn't helped . Morishita has been really missed for the last 2 as well.
  16. Who cares what he posted on social media? FFS, footballers are just normal people outside the pitch. Todd Cantwell is the least our problems and what he needs his movement ahead of him from our forwards. he is clearly playing whilst carrying an injury last couple of games. It was only a few weeks ago, people on here had conspiracy theory he wasn't playing cos of a possible clause saying Rovers had to pay money for him reaching 50 appearances. Look how that turn out
  17. I've wavered but I think, given the paucity of quality in the squad, the injuries and the lack of both money and capability in our player acquisition team, we're nailed on. Look at it this way, last season we were vying for play offs and in one window they cost us what, 15 places? They have neither the ability nor the desire to improve our playing squad. Fucked, lads.
  18. Looks like VI gave up on today’s match - not as animated on the touchline as in recent games. He kept looking down and seemed like he had no ideas…
  19. This squad is nowhere near the one what went down last time if we do drop we wont come back for a long time On another note I walked the long way back at the back of the riverside at the end of the game and OMG what a utter shambles and neglected mess it is ramshackle isnt the word
  20. Thanks for that, appreciate it. I wondered when watching today if Cantwell was over inflated in my head, we seemed to do okay results wise when he was missing from my memory. The stats certainly do appear to not have him as a game changer. For me, the best thing is that Tronstad agrees a deal for somebody for next season so his future is sorted for him and his family, and he can give his all for Rovers until the end of the season.
  21. Unfortunately his performances and attitude are exactly the standard I expect at Ewood Park these days.
  22. I completely agree with what Gav is saying above (which isn’t something I say often 😅). But, he really has been poor lately. There’s a time and a place for the flicks and the fancy stuff and he seems to make the wrong call on when to do them.
  23. Cantwell is a quality player surrounded by absolute dross. So much so, he’s trying to do far too much on his own to make things happen and it’s not working for him, the manager should be in his ear. This squad has far more pressing issues than Cantwell, we are lucky to have him.
