Maybe these players fancy going to Derby because they loved working under Eustace last season, were gutted when he left and are keen to get back working with him? That would mean more serious and longer term consequences and implications to him moving to Derby but hey, at least we've now got 'alignment' between head coach and work experience head of football and some compo banked for Eustace and his staff Happy days indeed. -

Gregg tried in 2023 and was told no because Dolan went solo and had no agent and then moved to a different agency people are right to jump ship from here I just find it laughable that Dolan in his interviews states about playing at the highest level etc and then moves to Derbyโฆ.only my opinion of course and at least we get comp -
Alan Biggs is a well respected, Sheffield based journalist who has had the inside track at Wednesday for ages. It looks like today could be huge for them in terms of their immediate future.

Just for money? Derby are skint. The difference is their owner still wants them to progress and backs his manager as much as he can. There's no evidence other than the words of liars on the Venky payroll that any serious efforts have been made to keep any of our players. Most of the players have admitted this in public in the last few months. If we had really tried the odds suggest that at least one of them would have signed up. The fact that 0 have signed tells me that we aren't trying. -

Why what on earth happens when they retire? Do they get taken out to pasture? -

Agree, it looks wrong when viewed from the side, either mainly all white, or all blue. -

Dolan is an honest pro and I don't blame him for seeking other adventures, and he'll probably start a lot of games under Eustace at Derby. Think he'll disappear like Nyambe did. -

Money is the driver to everything sadly. But I disagree on your comment about Eustace, I think he'll be one of the main reasons why he's go there...Otherwise, why else would he go? (No offence to Derby). He'll have plenty of suitors and bigger opportunities than them. I would have thought Sheffield united or West Brom would have been somewhere he goes. Let's see. -

and can you blame him? A manager he likes and respects and a club clearly with more ambition than Rovers who are backing their manager and making good on the promises made to him. A no brainer. -

What's wrong with that? Everything else seems too work on the basis of the free market---supply and demand. A footballer's life is a short one, why shouldn't he get the best deal he can? Not as if there's any reward for loyalty at Rovers these days is it? -

If Dolan goes to Derby itโs just for money I donโt want to hear about Eustace or ambitious owners etc itโs purely a money based decision. We have tried with him for 2 years even Gregg the egg couldnโt get him to sign on -

No surprise, at least we'll get a compensation for Dolan in that case. Survival signings. -

Ismael's only remit is the same as JDT'S in his second season. To stay in the championship and develop players. Ismael knows that, so unless he's secretly harbouring ambitions of a play off push, I can't see him walking away from "the project" and of course, the clowns running the circus won't sack him. - Today

Pears you're absolutely right on, if anyone disputes that they need their head testing. Absolutely nobody at this stage however can really compare Toth based on 6 appearances, a third of which he kept a clean sheet in, 1 funnily enough against Kaminski's team who didn't. Give it at least another 10 games or so and we might be able to form a better comparison. - Yesterday

Really surprised Kaminski has ended up at Charlton? I can only think they have a few bob and could match his Luton contract. -
The Torygraph giving Rod Stewart 3 stars for his Glastonbury set??? The guyโs 80 for uks sake and the fact he can still knock out the golden oldies for 90 minutes in 30C degree heat in front of 200.000 fans is worth 5 stars out of 5 in anybodyโs book. Bitter press, who havenโt got a clue.

If the club was in any way a real football club then they would have Toth and Kaminski fighting it out for the number 1 jersey. Kaminski was good but he didn't command his area in any way that I would deem good enough. I think Toth will come out a good one, he made it obvious when he arrived that he was here to be the main man and prove it. No doubt he'll have a great season and be sold for less than half his actual value. The club will then plead poverty and the usual lemmings will be telling us that we got a good deal. I'm just keen to see how long big Val will last. I reckon he won't see out the season. -

To admit that you would rather have either of our current keepers over TK is to admit that in your eyes the club can do no wrong. Fwiw I quite like Toth, but let's be objective about this. -

Kaminski had issues with the new style of play as did the whole back line but that seems to have been erased from memory all of a sudden. Clearly affected him and led to some howlers but he still only lost his place through injury.
