  1. Past hour
  2. This is the seemingly most even outcome. Can't decide wtf to do Start again gang.
  3. Got high hopes for this lad 🔥
  4. From the wrong side of the Pennines but RIP Dickie Bird, who has died at the age of 92.
  5. I think the League will make an example of us to encourage teams to manage their pitches properly. It will be a full replay scores at 0-0.
  6. Yeah but say Ipswich beat us & got in the playoffs ahead of someone else... There's room for complaint there aswell. The game didn't finish, no one gets the full 3 points available but the points are shared fairly. Mve on. Don't see the problem with this.
  7. No, we were on a year before against Southampton.
  8. I've thought this from the snippets ove seen of city. Haaland is a specimen of a striker, pace, power, touch, finishing he's got everything yet for the past two seasons he's been told to get in the box and score tap ins. Very good but a waste of his talents. I've seen a lot more of him running at players running with the ball etc which is better to watch. Then there's the keeper, a complete contrast to edersen in terms of ball at feet which suggests that isn't the most important thing for a city keeper anymore. I think we might see a sexier man city this season.
  9. Looks like we might be aiming for ninth in the future… https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13436643/efl-board-discussing-championship-play-offs-expansion-to-give-seventh-and-eighth-placed-finishers-chance-of-promotion
  10. Wonder if in the interest of fair play Ipswich would let us walk one in to effectively start at 1-0 - yeah right
  11. What would Ipswich have to be (genuinely) unhappy about a partial replay? They’ve already indicated a willingness to travel again so saying they can do that for 90 minutes but not 15 would seem just a tad disingenuous. Equally, I don’t see how we could argue playing out the remaining minutes wasn’t fair either.
  12. In my opinion: The EFL should tell Ipswich and Rovers their decision (eg continuing from where the match was stopped). The EFL give the clubs the chance to agree on logistics (date, tickets etc etc) If the clubs cannot agree these things the EFL then decides for them.
  13. One party is going to be extremely unhappy with the outcome. I wouldnt imagine awarding us the game will be on the table so we'll be basically looking at either a full replay from scratch or a 10 minute replay 11 v 10. The EFL is going to have to impose a ruling and the Club's will then have to thrash out the logistics between themselves presumably subject to any relevant appeal procedure.
  14. Well thats impossible. No chance of Ipswich agreeing.
  15. Well made points but nothing that doesn’t seem insurmountable - just needs willing from all parties…
  16. A full replay would just be like any other EFL game - 90 minutes 11 v 11 and at Ewood Park. The logistics/practicalities of playing such a shortened match (fans v behind closed doors, if fans, what to charge, when, where etc etc - it is unprecedented in English football as far as I know)
  17. Sounds good on paper. Who would referee the two games, it would be on a different ground, there would be an incentive to make sure certain opponents weren’t fit for the full game. I’m sure there would be many more scenarios.
  18. Today
  19. Surely there’s minimal difference (if any) between this and a full replay?
  20. Fair, but do you not also need to consider form as well?
  21. Thought Miller was really good. No sign of being uncomfortable in a back four at all. Against Ipswich and Watford we looked really well drilled defensively with Mori tucking in when we were off the ball making a back five. Gave the opposition wingers absolutely nothing. Then when we were in possession Mori got forward and gave us options. Miller like Carter seemed to be able to drive out from the back too. Have to say Ismael has a good tactical awareness where all the players know where to be in any given situation.
  22. Goals from U18s 8-3 win at Liverpool
  23. I saw someone else suggest this. Pragmatic as it sounds, it simply isn't an option and I dare say would leave the EFL even more wide open to challenge from other clubs than either of the three choices they do actually have. If either Rovers or Ipswich (or both!) were to scrape promotion/a play off place or avoid relegation by 1 point the clubs that suffer will scream blue murder.
