  1. Past hour
  2. The only reason we've had good seasons recently bar one and the only reason we actually stayed up then was down to the good starts and getting as many points on the table as early as possible. So yes this one feels different and what concerns me is the conceding of goals early in games, an issue that never seems to go away no matter who is coaching them.
  3. But that is not because of purely football reasons If this was a purely football decision, Michalski would be loaned out for his development & Pears would either be 2nd choice, or replaced with another senior keeper
  4. Think of getting rid of 6-8 grand a week and replacing with a grand a week....🫣
  5. Apparently QPR are due to receive about £6M in a sell on fee from Ezes move to Arsenal. So that's another team who were likely thought of as a bottom half of the table rival who just got a boost to their transfer kitty & wage budget Yes I am assuming that income does affect the QPR budget
  6. No it's on harsh from you. You were against him being number 2 from the start. Based on one game? So much for patience with youth players from you! Senior cover? Pears isnt even 3rd choice ATM and if the rumours are true when can he play next?
  7. I read the Bloxham message as 'glad you made it out to the US', rather than out of the club. But with how the club is run now, could easily be either.
  8. do you think we should pick up if the rumours are true about last week game why he wasn't involve?
  9. I have a good deal with Virgin media. 118 pounds a month for every channel including tnt sports. I got it knocked down from 185 pounds a month

  11. Massive game already. Lose again and the concerns really grow. I have always thought that people have overestimated our likeliness of relegation in past seasons but this one feels different. Birmingham and Wrexham already have miles better squads so they wont be close to a dogfight. Potential rivals like Hull, Charlton and Preston have all started well so a loss would just leave further ground to catch already. We also know that no matter what results are, Ismael is safe as they wont be paying between 2 and 3 years of his contract up. I presume we again will be choosing not to include our captain despite him still being a Rovers player for the time being?
  12. You can't do that , think of the Academy minutes !
  13. If we are destined to fight a relegation this season, sorry transition this season then we need a capable back up keeper not a rookie whose already in one game thrown away a goal. Beyond stupid to gamble on otherwise and at the moment that back up is Pears, only an idiot would get rid of him just to allow a kid to be backup.
  14. I doubt it’s 250k for trav closer to 1mill but yes I take your point and agree
  15. Today
  16. Michalski is not ready. There are no cup games until Jan partly because of his performance. We have to have senior cover because if he is chucked in at Championship level, it will cost us points. None of that is a criticism, hes 18. Shouldnt be an immediate Championship deputy.
  17. This. And the most worrying thing is that this wasn't just a one-off mistake, he makes them regularly. When you throw his positional deficiencies into the mix, it just baffles me how he's played so many games for us. Being a decent shot shopper just isn't enough for a GK at this level, you need to have a rounded level of general competence - and Pears just doesn't have it. As a backup to Toth, I don't mind too much. But I would much prefer Michalski to get the opportunity to play our cup and occasional league matches (unless a decent loan can be found for him).
  18. If you don't want any other Sky apart from Sky Sports, then you can normally get a sub £30/month deal with Now TV for just the Sky Sports package, as long as you sign up for a minimum term. This doesn't include TNT sports, but it is a lower budget option that may suit some
  19. Yep, when the truth is we are willing to risk vital points tomorrow with having a stronger squad for the sake of hustling for another £250k for Trav. Whilst also waiting another few weeks for clubs to be more desperate to off load players for cheaper.
  20. This is the man who accuses someone of swerving questions, and at the same time is unable to give a yes or no answer when asked, at least half a dozen times, if he has read Glens minutes
  21. Today I’m going for a continued silence on Travis and contracts confirmation we’re slightly closer to a signing but nothing imminent another spiel about transition and bedding the new players in
  22. They'll be flipping him to Burnley for a few million once they are back in the Championship again.
  23. Not only that, Michalski sat on the bench week after week will also stifle his development, which in the medium & long term benefits neither Rovers, nor Michalski He needs to be out on loan in the National League or NLN playing week in, week out But hey ho, saving a few pennies in the here & now is all that matters, apparently Edit - also given his age means that he does not need to be registered in the 25 man squad. a non league loan would mean he could be recalled by Rovers outside of a transfer window should Rovers have an injury crisis (same "loophole" as Montgomery at the back end of last season)
  24. It's £60 for a new Sky Q subscription with Sky Sports HD
  25. Its not harsh. Hes 18 years old, it would be harsh on him by the club to expect him to be second choice at this stage. I didnt say I want Pears to stay. I want him to be replaced really. If he did stay and/or in the mean time, he should be second choice over Michalski. To be fair, Venkys were the ones who nearly relegated us single handedly. I certainly dont rate Pears, but my point is that he is still a more capable deputy than an 18 year old who clearly isnt close to being ready for Championship football. I would want a new senior goalkeeper but such is the cost cutting, they will probably want a kid who is clearly nowhere near ready to be backup.
