  2. I'm with you on coventry. Their keeper wilson still heavy in my memory. Awful, unbelievable, unprofessional cheat.
  3. Thank you for your post, all opinions matter. Within the Coalition it's everyone's group, I'm just a panel member as equal to each other. I represent the AG on this panel. My own opinion (which is not representative of either the AG or Coalition) Is a supporters panel open to all. Their affiliation to a current supporter group should have no baring at all, though I agree all demographics need to be part of it. Every single supporter should be able to stand in a democratic public vote that all supporters can vote in. The majority of supporters are in no group at all. I fully understand Supporters direct and the FSF's stance on Supporter panels as a former elected National Council FSF board member who was heavily involved in the birth of the bill. I must add it was the Rovers supporters who instigated the IFR at Government level which was the first step to this becoming a reality, I know this as I along with Mark Fish where the individuals who attended parliament with the MPs to push Hugh Robertson to start this cycle. Co opting existing groups onto the panel through secret Ballots would already dilute democracy. Rovers could become real pioneers here by having a a true democratic voice which the majority can get behind. We've already seen in recent weeks how Sheffield Wednesdays fan panel has lost credibility in their supporter base due to how it was set up in line with your suggestion.
  4. He has been there all season, mainly as a sub option, having signed for them straight from his release from Rovers (from memory, it was a contract arranged ahead of time whilst technically still under contract at Rovers) Ayr lost the 2nd leg last night (losing the tie on aggregate) so are not going to be in the top tier next season, but he still has another year left on his contract with them so may possibly play a bigger part next season? Looks like he developed the useful knack of scoring off the bench late in the season. As you say, not the level we need, but good luck to him
  5. The club will say it is to stop over 18's buying under 18's tickets. Whereas what the club should do is reduce the price of adult tickets.
  6. No chance we’ll see cheap kids season tickets again after last season - the 4,000 full price sales and plenty of adults seemingly going to Ewood on concession tickets instead.
  7. I watched the first let of Partick against Ayr in midweek and Ayr brought a substitute on called Ethan Walker. He looked familiar so I googled his name and sure enough it was the lad we took from Preston in similar circumstances to Dolan. I saw him play several times for the under 21's and never thought he was good enough for the Championship. It's good to see him playing at a decent level.
  8. Sunderland got their tactics spot on and the old fashioned 4-4-2 worked perfectly as the front two dropped deep when Coventry had the ball rather than pressing high up. Coventry really didn't have an answer and whilst they might point to possession and other stats being well in their favour it showed there are many ways to win football matches not just the possession based style which many managers and coaches obsess over.
  9. Happy for Sunderland. It was a fantastic away performance. A proper Eustacing. Cannot stand Coventry. Only Burnley and Preston are ahead of them in my Championship shit list. Awful supporters.
  10. Today
  11. Lunacy. Last season an under 18 in the Upper JW outer was £59. The early bird price this season was £99 and the Phase Two price has gone up to £149. How on earth can they justify an almost 200% increase?
  12. Given that the club are yet to announce how they intend meeting their obligations for fans' consultation I would suggest it is somewhat premature for you to describe those arrangements as "exclusive". Perhaps a more constructive approach would be for your group to publish a set of proposals as to how you would like these arrangements to work. Everybody will have their own views as to how this should work. For now I will restrict myself to simply suggesting what I think should be the composition of the representative group of fans : 3 members of the existing Fans Forum, of whom at least 1 should be female 3 members of WATR, of whom at least 1 should be female 1 member of the Disabled Supporters Association 1 member of the Pride Supporters group 1 member of the South Asian Supporters Association It would be best if these people were elected via secret ballot. More generally there have been explanatory notes setting out how the new legislation and regulatory system should operate. The most relevant is Bill 213 EN 2024-25 which I think you should read if you haven't already done so. The manner in which the fans group consultation is expected to operate is set out on pages 51 and 52.
  13. Not sure if this is the right place for it as something a bit more light-hearted but any news on when the new kits will be out and what they will look like? I had a bit of a play around on chat gpt with some ideas - ignore the dodgy rovers crests!
  14. That’s probably the case, but they are unlikely to admit that. Gestede has already stated that the transfer budget won’t be changed, so the numbers are perhaps irrelevant.
  15. They’d sold 14k season tickets before ours went on sale. Context is everything.

  17. I was under the impression that they rated him but he had a shocker of a season, including only making one appearance in a half season loan in Ireland before being dropped It looks as though injury may have played a part in that, but he was also not favoured for minutes when he was at Preston either He did play a fair amount (by comparison) the season before. Without knowing too much about what happened, maybe it ws just a case of him having a similar break out season, and then regression/finding his level that Adam Henley had? (how is he only 30? It seems like a lifetime ago)
  18. Why did they extend phase 1? Did they not pull the numbers they thought?
  19. No. We shouldnt be signing a striker who was 5th or 6th choice for a side in League 1, behind players like Jay Rodriguez, Steven Fletcher and Jack Marriott.
  20. The TV money keeps going up, at the inconvenience of the match going fan. Those increases far exceed minor increases relative to a football club such as energy and national insurance. Dont let the sob stories from Waggott and Suhail fool you. Problem is that clubs pay far too much in wages, its not an increase in gas and electric or NI that is causing football clubs to be so reliant on owner investment year on year. But either way, whether other clubs do it or not is not the point. Those clubs are in totally different situations to us. Our fan base dwindles and dwindles, those other clubs can do it because their sales are higher and their grounds are far more full therefore its far more justified. We also have a lot of angry and unhappy fans who may have cooled off in the summer or decided that they missed going. But now, they will be much more unlikely to then buy at a higher price. If you sell 12k or more of say a possible 23k season tickets at the end of a first phase, with a fan base that isnt full of unhappiness. Its fine to then not necessarily sell many more after it, for it to just tick over with a few more sales after which is more likely if the fanbase isnt already angry at having the piss taking out of it. If you sell 7.5k (and boast about it) of a possible 23k season tickets, with an unhappy fanbase. To then bring in a second phase of higher prices is just preventing that majority of empty seats from being sold. Its such a flawed mindset to shrug your shoulders and say well some other teams are also doing it. Its simply not comparing like for like. If we scrapped the phases at our club, I would be pretty sure that yes cash flow in might become slightly more staggered across the summer, for the sake of a month or two, but the overall sales income would be higher.
  21. Just throwing it out there, anyone think Paul Mullin could do a job for us at this level with him being out of favour at Wrexham?
  22. Yesterday
  23. It's every club who does Phases regarding ST and the prices go up in each Phase. This entire football issue. Most people and football clubs are feeling the financial pressures at the minutes with energy prices going up and NIC rise
  24. No thanks, high wages and coming to the end of his career.
  25. Rovers have one "plan" only---to fleece committed supporters for as much as they can gouge them and to fail to even attempt to attract new ones. This is a sure-fire recipe for a long lingering death as the supporter base continues to age. Of the 7500 season ticket holders we have at this minute, what % are non-concession holders? I bet we struggle to reach the pathetic 4000 we had last season.
  26. What was their phase one price and how many did they sell in that phase? CONTEXT
