  3. He loses a lot of aeriel duels against shorter defenders and can't finish at all with his legs. He's also missed a lot of clear-cut chances with his head so I think he can score up to a certain level then it stops completely.
  4. I am fairly certain they have to be registered for each round, but that registration is separate than the 25 for the league, so assuming I've not dreamed that up, yes he could play (albeit he has so far only played a game and a half for the U21s since injury)
  5. A first team game and that’s probably the best we can do if we want to rest some key players. It’s negligence from an unserious set up.
  6. I do enjoy a cup run and would usually want to progress as far as possible, but this season it does seem sensible to rest the majority. Toth Atcheson O'Riordan Cashin TGH Montgomery Garrett De Neve Henriksson Dlamini Joseph Am I right in thinking you don't have to be in the registered 25 to play in the FA Cup, so Garrett could play? I know you can register and unregister players game by game this month but it's just me wondering.
  7. Really poor comment this from a member of the group leading the call. Could understand if it was just someone on here who had that opinion, but a member, who has become a spokesman for the group on this board shouldn't be trying to divide the fanbase with comments like that in my opinion.
  8. Not really. He will be looking for a contract on reduced, but still very major wages. If he has 4 months here and doesn’t score a bucket full - which would be the expectation for a PL move - it will negatively impact him. I’m not sure I would look at our squad and think “I’ll score 15 goals in 4 months there, they create loads but don’t have a proper striker.”
  9. He put it on a good 4 hours after Nixon had already reported it.
  10. They will sell Abeiosu in a heart beat if it means that the Venkys don't have to send any money over for a few extra months. They will already have a fee in mind that is below his market value but hits a sweet spot for the financial year coverage needed. Rovers having a s strong hand is laughable, we are basically in administration without it being official.
  11. Today
  12. He was excellent especially against Tielmans who is no mug. Controlled it from start to finish.
  13. What are people blowing off steam about that they dont understand?
  14. He was pretty prolific every time he played in the Belgian league, a move to Zaragoza didn't quite work out (I can't tell you why as I simply don't know). He's your classic target man - he doesn't want to be pressing and chasing the back line, he wants crosses in the box early and direct and we just haven't played like that. He has strength, he's just not being told to use it correctly. Exactly the same as Gallagher.
  15. What strengths? And where were these goals?
  16. Our conduct over the last 3-4 years demonstrates that this club WANTS to sell / offload its best players. Evidence? Look at the list of departures Look at the lack of contract renewals Look at the money pocketed and not reinvested So when Elliot Jackson talks about Everton-Alebiosu in terms like 'Rovers have a strong hand' that implies Rovers would want to Keep the player and that it isn't in the regime's interests to sell him quickly for a good profit. I don't believe that. I think they'd love to do that as quickly as possible. And that is why we need regime change as quickly as possible, because their agenda and interests do not correspond with Rovers having the best side possible for as long as possible.
  17. I feel with Gueye we really missed a trick, He's clearly a confidence based striker. we didn't play to his strengths during any game he featured in. The fans can say he's crap etc all they like but I assume he's struggled from the first day being here. New country, New team, 2 new managers, turmoil behind the scenes, not wanted. I wonder how many of us would perform at our best doing our jobs with all that going on? Whilst checking social media and being called out for being rubbish. Wish him nothing but the best, he's obviously got goals in him, he's proven that elsewhere just sadly not at rovers!
  18. Also if stories are to be believed, spent £20K/week for nearly 6 months on wages for Dennis, + whatever loan fees were involved, so probably somewhere between £500K & £1M on that waste of space
  19. Matchday 26 Summarised Read the full article on the front page and let us know your thoughts.
  20. Washed our face with Ennis. Made a profit on Telalovic.
  21. Watched Wharton last night. If Johnson was a decent player he'd have had two assists. Wharton ran the show against villa
  22. Because a lot of remaining match going fans fundamentally don’t think that’s what you do as a supporter. Crap owners but it’s their cross to bear. We may struggle with that, it’s one game, think of the big picture and all that. But not going to a game when they are a season ticket holder, when they think the team needs support, wouldn’t cross their mind for a second and are bemused by the whole thing. (and before you jump in Rev. This isn’t me ‘carping’, this isn’t me saying it isn’t the right thing to do, this isn’t me not supporting the Coalition. As it’s a thread to discuss it I’m just explaining the mindset of all those that sit around me that will be there. So let’s stop worrying about them and just try and work with what we’ve got.).
