  1. Past hour
  2. Did you high five the doorman and get the bartenders autograph?
  3. Might not be a glamorous name but It's a smart and solid first signing.10 goals and 3 assists in 36 games for a relegated side. Sky saying he had a release clause that kicked in when Plymouth dropped to league one. I wouldn't have said no to having him here at the price they paid for him.Wrexham will have more ambitious targets, their owners won't want to be treading water in the championship and they will have genuine ambitions of getting into the Premier league, unlike ours
  4. Some people on X, @glen9mullan included, getting damaged shirts. Not a good start.
  5. Wow! That last sentence could apply to the situation in 2011...
  6. Assuming none of Trav, Tronstad, Brittain or Hyam leave, I'll bet none of our summer signings start the season opener.
  7. Have to wait to see who else they sign , but its not a signing that makes me think "yeah, they're really going for it this season "
  8. Today
  9. Gestede is a novice who possibly doesnt appreciate the importance of the core of Championship proven quality we already have or the need to sprinkle some more i amidst potential signings from abroad.
  10. Semi Final or Winner is the bench mark not the latest 8
  11. The only way they can ever redeem themselves is by putting up the For Sale sign.
  12. Only £700 grand according to reports ,we probably didn't even consider him.Gestede too busy scouring Europe for players that will cost under half a million
  13. Hopefully Sufi got some stick from fans. A man who shouldnt be in his position and seemingly played a big part in the shocking season ticket prices, notably the hike.
  14. I wouldn't worry all indications is he hasn't been offered anything which shows they want to flog him. If/when they do they'll not be offering him more just most likely same wage, 2 years with a year option to which he'll say know if his agent has drummed up some serious interest. Then the fall out will be how much they'll let him go for which might well already be the hold up.
  15. Wrexham have started their summer spending signing Ryan Hardie from Plymouth for an undisclosed fee
  16. So by that token then, I take it you'll be praising Tuchel to high heaven if we get knocked out at the last 8 stage of the next World Cup?
  17. They had the Lancashire rose in last seasons kit. Downgraded to a stem.
  18. If Travis doesn’t get the money he wants then I wouldn’t say that’s his Rovers career done. Could take Dolans stance and see out his contract. Get more than enough season after as a free, and wouldn’t put it past these owners for allowing him to do it
  19. A bit like with the fans, the first one or two occasions where we chucked away good chances at promotion could conceivably be down to mistake, error of judgment etc. But it's happened now 3-4 times in the last 5 years. The players have worked their backsides off to get us into January in the mix and the regime has done absolutely nothing to help get us through the second half of the season. Instead they've simply expected more from the same players, run them into the ground, forced good managers out and continued to cut costs. People have started to realise that it isn't down to luck, misfortune, error or any other excuse. It is down to the regime, the very same remains in firm control today. If you are a player wanting to achieve success in the game you clearly aren't going to do that here. Even if we surpass all expectations and get into contention at Christmas this regime won't thank them, reward them with improved terms, or move to help them by bringing in quality reinforcements. And inevitably it will fizzle out, just as it has every year. The regime isn't changing course, it is doubling down. Why anyone would want to stay here after the events of the last 3-4 years is anyone's guess. At least at another club there's a chance they might try if they get to January in with a shout. Because that's all people ask for - to try - I'm afraid nobody associated with this regime can honestly claim that we've tried the last few years.
  20. relegation is going to happen is`nt it,sooner or later
  21. I’m not naive enough to think that money and contract length aren’t key points for renewals. But I heard from a good source towards the end of the season that a lot of senior players aren’t happy with how the club has been over the last couple of years, especially with the manner of Eustace leaving. Since then we’ve had Waggot depart, giving Suhail more control, and the shambles of the women’s team. I suspect the likes of Brittain and Travis don’t really want to renew. It’s just being leaked as financial as that’s the only way to save face. Similar with Baath. As a regular starter you think he’d sign up straight away for another season. He could want two years. But he could just want out.
  22. poor attendance and a really annoying walk on introduction, players coming on individually hailed by a screaming banshee🙂
  23. Travis has been an important player for Rovers in recent seasons, able to break up attacks, engage in much needed shithousery and galvanising those around him to make better contributions. You only need do the sums on the points tally with him in and him out of the side to see that there is something about the lad that other midfielders just don't bring to the party. I appreciate he isn't technically gifted, a crowd-pleaser or a clear match winner, but mark my words, if he goes we will lose steel and leadership in the middle of the pitch and we will start to concede more frequently than when Travis is playing (for us). That is, of course, unless there is a cunning plan to replace him with someone able to do what he does for a fraction of the cost... But Professor Cunning, whose cunning is more devious than the most cunning of cunning foxes from the university of cunning, sadly no longer goes to Rovers, as he got fed up with being taken for a jessie. Whatever that is. VENKYS OUT!
  24. imo the shirt as a important '150 years' celebration is... disappointing. Hopefully, the away kit will be better.
