  1. Past hour
  2. It was a good idea moving the kids there,I sit across the tunnel and the interaction between the players and the kids is great to see, impossible when they were upstairs. I'd counter that though by saying that people having to vacate their seats to accommodate the family stand wasn't ideal.
  3. McLaughlin has done ok as a squad player / cover who has had to play far more than anticipated. Same with TGH. However Batth was simply far better last season. My POTY, and had he not got injured for those six game when Ismael took over we would have probably finished top 6.
  4. Im bloody surprised that's still up. Good spot. Im amazed a Club Official would be stupid enough to commit to comments like that about the fan base in print even if only on social media. By "The make up of the fan base in NO1" I presume he means predominantly white middle aged working class males without the College education he is referring to. And I assume the behaviour he doesnt like is chanting against the ownership and/or Pasha. As a white male above a certain age and long standing supporter of the Club who thinks the owners record is terrible and they need to be removed, I find those comments completely repugnant - even though I attained the level of education he now deems requisite to be able to sit in the Blackburn End. Ageist, Elitist and overtly racist, all in one fell swoop. Well done. Did one Fans Group or other sit and listen to that at some point? It should have been grounds for summary dismissal imo. Dynamite for the Coalition this.
  5. lets bring that 3 points home today, would take a point now tho. Will be interesting what we do if Gudjohnsen isn't fit.
  6. Failed? Why not give them 60 test matches like Crawley has had and then tell me they have failed. A seamers pitch? We've struggled on fast pitches, bouncey pitches, now moving pitches. What are you not understanding Chaddy? Rob Key said we are performing at 20% of these players abilities. Who are you blaming for that? Who? The Aussie press? A green wicket? The players? The captain? The selectors? The County game? We are under prepared, poorly managed, lacking character and struggling to even do the basics. Topped off with the drinking and slobbing about. Who are you blaming for that? The successes of the last few years have coincided with having the best batsman in the world performing at his peak during that time. The only one, who, despite the odd rash moment, has played professionally. It's a malaise brought on by the unprofessional approach of this regime over two or three years. Cowardice, masked as bravery, stupidity shrouded as creativity, recklessness purported as positivity, carelessness disguised as strategy, desperation spun as confidence, fogginess as intellect. The old 'bullshit baffles brains' and its worked. The arrogance of this shower, thinking they can re-invent test cricket. Well, i guess they have. We now get two day test matches and regularly struggle to get 200. These fucking idiots struggle to get double figures. It's confused the vast majority of our fans lacking the intrinsic nuances and knowledge of the game at the HIGHEST levels. A few last chance wins against lesser opponents, thrilling run chases and being better than what came before sufficing. Until you get to the very highest level. And it slowy dawns that you are lost. Because you can't ramp Starc at 90 miles an hour without losing your teeth. So its immediately back to the basics, which you've not practised and grooved for 3+ years. And you are then royally fucked. Goosed. Up shit creak without a paddle. Nowhere to turn. Rabbits in headlights. Trust me, it's a very bad place to be when you don't know your own game and can't trust your own technique. I'm all for continuous professional development, but that is refined amd developed in practice, in the nets. You don't want to rip up the test team, but do want to rip up the entire cricketing structure in the UK. And whilst there is merit in all your suggestions, to a greater or lesser degree, shit rolls downhill and we must now make it clear that what has been served up is not just losing cricket, its losing cricket without positives. I've gone full circle. I hope we get pasted. Heap on the humiliation. Then get rid of Key, Mcullum, Stokes as captain, fitness coaches, batting coaches, fielding coaches, catching coaches, dieticians. All of them. Start afresh. Atherton, Hussain, Vaughan. Lets get some intelligence back into the leadership and change cultures. Keep Root and Archer for sure. Stokes as an all rounder if his body is up to it. The bowlers in general deserve consideration. Your good at asking quesrions Chaddy. Riddle me this. Who is to blame for losing the Ashes in eleven days? Who are you blaming?
  7. Re the second paragraph… I’d suggest in a majority of cases an under 18 ticket needs to be affordable to the parent(s) not the child. The man sounds like an absolute moron.
  8. I seem to recall the last time we played in Melbourne it was much the same? We were bowled out for around 70 and lost the test in 3 days. Its clearly not a wicket that should be anywhere near a test match.
  9. Leagues ahead is some overstatement. Alebiosu is decent, no doubts. Brittain is much better in regards to technical ability, Alebiosu looks almost clumsy but still gets past his man and has a knack of digging out a cross when it looks like he shouldn't be able to. A game of opinions of course, though.
  10. Definitely UNWANTED. However, this odious toad is merely the mouthpiece of the unspeakably arrogant and vile clump of shit mulch that sits in Pune, overseeing the incremental dismantling of Jack's legacy and OUR club. VENKYS OUT!!
  11. He also chose to plonk those kids right next to the most reactive and agricultural language section of the ground. Something tells me that's behind his agenda, why not just put the kids back upstairs.
  12. Well, that worked out well, didn’t it. Maybe there’s a bit more too it than arranging buses for school kids.
  13. There was more but it seems to have disappeared or i can't find it.
  14. This. (Plus the Head Coach is a huge downgrade)
  15. Chaddy, that pitch is a bowlers paradise. It doesn't favour either batting side, nor does it help Test cricket. If the pitch gets anything better than a "poor" rating, then I'd be dissapointed
  16. I think our league position tells you everything you need to know about the summer window. The idea that the majority of our signings have been good and only a couple didn't work out doesn't really align with our swift downward trajectory from playoff hopefuls to survival hopefuls.
  17. Completely free hit today, no-one really expects us to win and there'd be no shame in performing creditably but going down to a narrow defeat, so who knows.
  18. One of the few ‘successes’ of recent years when it comes to Ewood is a Blackburn End lower that was pretty full most weeks (obviously by just concertina-ing the remaining fans into camera facing areas, I.e BB Lower and JW, but still) … so of course they’ve put a sledgehammer to that too.
  19. Today
  20. Morning everyone & Merry Christmas (better late than never). We're capable of doing a number on Boro today as we have done several times there recently. Hopefully our win v Millwall & their defeat at Bristol gives enough of a momentum shift for us to get the 3 points, though a draw would be v good too. Sounds like we'll be without Andri, but hopefully we still have enough for a win by the only goal.
  21. The bowlers did very well but the batsman apart from Brook and Atkinson. This is seamers friendly pitch. In terms of what? We have rip it every time and got no better. The county game needs massive reform and reorganise. Less games, better pitches and playing at the right time. Who are the better batsmen then already in the team? The top 3 batsmen in Division 1 are players who have played test cricket and failed. Do we go back to them?.
  22. If true, that's a fucking disgrace. Sorry about the bad language, Im an uncouth loyal hardcore older fan. We could do with some proof on this I feel. It does sound feasible, it's the first time I've heard any sort of explanation for the ludicrous decision to raise prices in the BBE (which SHOULD form the seething hotbed of our support) What makes them think younger fans would be flocking to replace the older ones at those prices? Insanity.
  23. He’s still the best centre half I’ve ever seen in the flesh. When the Rothmans Football Annual published their best British 11 Mike was in it at centre half for several years and that was at the tail end of his career. He had it all ability wise. For a tall guy he had incredible leap. Not many tall guys jump very well. I still think his best days were at Rovers, when he went to Spurs they reigned in his attacking instincts.
