  1. Past hour
  2. It is important we dont waste time and energy as a fan base saying, "should have done this way etc" A small group of people are giving up their time, working hard with no funds, to try and do all we can for the club we all love. This action has been chosen, now let's all help make it work.
  3. Why would they when the F.A. don't take their own competition seriously? If they did they would have told the Premier League that replays were part and parcel of the competition instead of scrapping them. I don't blame any manager for fielding weakened teams in this competition as it certainly doesn't have the prestige that it once did. Personally, I will be travelling to Hull in the hope of seeing many of the kids from the Under-21's drafted in and the senior players given the rest they need for the League battles to come.
  4. ISH - we take the punts who don't qualify for a permit, mandate they play till they do - then sell
  5. 47er I totally agree. I am afraid, but it is worth trying as I am more afraid of what lays ahead if we do nothing. It is all our responsibilities, as Rovers fans to get the boycott message out there, and encourage as many season ticket holders as possible to make a small sacrifice and miss 1 game.
  6. I think people are afraid of it flopping. I honestly don't know how it'll go. But it has to be tried. If this one fails and things carry on as they are, you won't need to organise anything anyway. Next season's season-ticket sales will be the clincher.
  7. I am an independent supporter and part of the coalition working group. I understand the argument that we should have chosen a midweek game to boycott, however let me explain our rationale. Midweek games are so poorly attended that an almost empty Ewood would be spun by the club and others as not a boycott, just fans not showing up for a night match. If we can get a virtually empty Ewood on a Saturday it cannot be brushed aside. Yes, midweek would probably be easier, but we cannot give them an out. A clear visual message indicating that it is the majority of fans that want change is what we are trying to convey. This is the only way we have of expressing this to Pasha and the Raos.
  8. We lost this one when Smith made the most ludicrous stroke to the most harmless ball. Just bloody idiotic. Like Brooke before him. I can stand defeat, I can't stand self-immolation.
  9. I can definitely say we aren't involved in that deal!
  10. Back then I always told people he was absolutely bobbins, but was just enjoying a purple patch... was fuming that he walked for free after we coulda got a decent few million for him.
  11. Not easy to get rid of him if his current coach doesn't put him in the matchday squad because he doesn't put in enough effort in training. He's looked unfit every game he's come on, and must be a bad egg in the dressing room environment too. Who would take him?
  12. True. Who in their right minds would offer a 6 year contract at a club where you do well to last 6 months.? Same with the 8 year contracts for players. Absolute bat shit club ( and that's something coming from us )
  13. 👏👏👏💙🤍🔊🔊🔊
  14. I think Brereton was a really bad footballer. Benefitted from a change in name as well as confidence from such an amazing story. Seems however he has gone back to the pre Diaz era
  15. As I said, it comes across as a criticism when most times it beats a keeper. I didnt mention it the time as it beats Toth as well. It's certainly not a "Toth might have saved that" comment. But it's not unsaveable. I just think his hands are quite low and the ball goes past him centrally not far from his head. It doesn't fly into the inside side netting or top corner. He's just beaten by surprise and power, but it is saveable. But as I say I'm not digging him out because, Wrexham's first goal aside, he's hardly put a foot wrong. Not making regular mistakes is what I would expect from most keepers at this level. What makes certain keepers better than others is awareness, dealing with crosses and the regularity they pull off saves you don't expect them to make (see Raya, Friedel)
  16. Ismael won’t care about that. He is targeted and earns bonuses based on giving academy players debuts and minutes. I’m actually surprised he seemed a bit reluctant in the earlier part of the season. Perhaps he’s now twigged that expectations and standards are virtually zero, and that the accumulation of points isn’t that important to his bosses. I expect we will see at least half a dozen more academy players debut by the end of the season.
  17. That's what properly run clubs do
  18. That’s my conclusion after just watching the “ highlights “. The bowling is way too short.
  19. They’ve got some really good players.
  20. To be fair they have enough of our ex players there to choose from! Yeah he's been poor at Derby, 2 goals in 21 games, both against Wrexham funnily enough.
  21. Pears positioning and his awareness have always been an issue and something hes failed to improve on. Multiple examples of this particular weakness over the last few years but agree on the second goal. A superb strike aided by utterly crap defending and to be fair if he tips that over it's save of the season stuff.
  22. Shameless plug alert, but we recorded a 4000 Holes Podcast last night and discussed the planned boycott at length in section 3. Should 'drop' on Friday morning as usual. Worth a listen, in my humble opinion. Myself, @Herbie6590, Holly, Rory Larmer and Rich Sharpe
  23. I must be thinking of somebody else. I know he’s hardly set the world on fire at Derby. That was his first goal. They’re trying to sign Sammi on loan, I think I know who he will be replacing.
  24. Great article. We all know the root cause, it's the fifteen year old elephant in the room. Enough of naysayers saying we should be grateful of their pitiful stewardship of the club. This club will never be anything we can be proud of again until these owners leave. They have not improved one single thing about Blackburn Rovers FC since they bought it in 2010. They have made it worse in so many ways that I have lost count. People need to stop settling for what the Venkys offer, which is absolutely no ambition, mediocrity at best and a bargain basement approach to running one of England's greatest football clubs. They need to go. Once they have gone, we'll deal with whatever comes next.
  25. I wouldn’t exactly describe Baradji as “ defensive minded. “ The problem is we’ve had to wait whilst now to get him on the park. I’d say playing Travis and Tronstad in centre midfield was more defensive minded. Who are these striker/winger/attackers we need to throw on ? There’s only Joseph as far as I can see that might be worth a go but you need to be careful blooding kids in a struggling team. We ruined James Beattie as far as Rovers were concerned doing that.
  26. Rosenoir's contract is until 2032. Some people just don't learn
