  1. Past hour
  2. I never said that. Im suggesting that I am skeptical that what the club are leaking out actually happened. I would be less so if there wasnt such a recurring theme. Either way, he has gone now. His agent wasnt filling his head full of rubbish to lead him astray, Dolan didnt have ideas above his station, and it has worked out great for him because he did have an offer and it was a bloody good one in La Liga. Sadly for us, its not good because it leaves a big hole in our team.
  3. 2 or 3 is not enough I dont think. I suspect we might again encounter issues with squad depth as the season goes on, especially if Ismael wants to play high intensity football with a small squad again. We need to obviously prioritise the attack which looks well short considering Ismael seemingly likes to run them into the ground. The base of the team has a nice well organised feel if they all stay with some really good players at this level. But the attacking 4 likely to start the season doesnt fill me with much confidence, there arent many goals or much pace there, and theres little in reserve so its important to bring in 2 or 3. I think we could do with 5 personally. A right winger to come into the team is critical. Then I think its 2 from 3 - a centre back, a number 10 and a striker. I think we could also do with another cental midfielder but if we are restricted to 3, then we should bin off the Badarji deal and focus on more important positions. I find it strange that Ismael said 6 or 7 going into the summer, yet even though at least 2 have left that we didnt anticipate, that number hasnt changed. Maybe the pursestrings have been tightened again. Obviously the elephant in the room is still the 5 players (Brittain, Tronstad, Travis, Hyam and Tyjon) whose contracts end next summer. Lets see if we really have learnt our lesson.
  4. I know they did, that’s when we had this discussion last time. I.e. during the season, during, like they do with bundles, half STs and all the rest of it. They just aren’t going to offer it as an alternative option in the summer for the entire upcoming season for the reason I outlined. That doesn’t mean I and many other ST holders wouldn’t snap their hand off for one if it was offered… and that’s why they don’t, and won’t .
  5. Would you break wage structure to keep Dolan as you said average Championship player? I would for Brittain, Tronstad, Travis, Ohashi and Hyam to get that to sign new contracts
  6. Its convenient how we cant any key players to sign new deals. They must all want wage structure shattering wages.
  7. what about the article point about Dolan's wage demands? Good prospect for us have been all summer and yet he is still here same source who said Hull are interested in Brittain despite them can't pay fees for players and Derby bid for Brittain accepted yet he has just played for Rovers in a friendly Deffo, he needs a move where he will be regular
  8. So Ismael has told Elliot that he would like at least two new players before the end of the window, "3 would be perfect" he says. Nothing is close.
  9. Levels above Pears. Just a shame it took so long for us to drop Calamity and give Toth a run of games. But hopefully at least it means we have a decent, competent GK at this level for the first time since TK.
  10. has you would expect his decision making to be so given his age and the stage of his development
  11. Another win, another clean and Gueye scoring. Good win.
  12. What’s everyone’s thoughts on Toth? Personally I think he’s proven himself as the no1. Claimed some good balls in to the box against Everton and Qatar to relieve pressure on defence. Looks calm on the ball and his distribution actually stays on the pitch. If I were pears I’d be looking for a move
  13. Don't even think you're joking either
  14. Glen Mullan posted in another thread that the delayed in the minutes isn;t at Rovers end but with fans forum members re-looking at the minutes
  15. What happened to Dennis .forest want rid ..one year left on contract... surely we will avoid
  16. Ticket prices aren't too similar. a fiver more in some stands I believe. Plus its a Saturday 3pm which some/most fans are better for them. Good offer and I know some Rovers fans who attend some Chorley when Rovers aren't playing.
  17. They offered one last season.
  18. Surely Buckley will leave next week...only 4 mins today ..
  19. Always injured, yeah - but definitely had talent. That we fucked him off for a combination of Woodrow and Dennis last January is borderline criminal neglect. Even a half fit Arnor contributes more than both did for us.
  20. some people still stuck with playing boring cricket, England want to play attacking cricket and Root is excellent at playing the reserve sweep and he has worked so hard on developing and perfecting that shot. On Brook, that's how he played and England were in the driving seat.
  21. Thats the flag we need, more than the Pasha one, but both are good efforts.
  22. Who was the sub with long hair? I thought he was greedy and didn't have a footballing brain. Rovers teams on official site is nowhere near up to date.
