  2. I wouldn't want him now, last summer I did but its not the type of striker/forward I think we need. We need pace in the team. We won't get much for Joe Boggan, minimum fee especially if he goes overseas.
  3. We can trade with academy players or words to that effect. So in other words not much to cash in at first team level for big money so we'll now sell emerging talent before it even emerges.
  4. Do you think they are ready for first team Championship football now? And do you think there are a flurry of kids that are ready now as it seems likely that they are going to be pushed through ready or not. You know much more about these players than me but I noticed that Powell couldnt get a game for Altrincham. And do you agree with Gestede that we should have an objective of 3,000 minutes for graduates that needs to be met?
  5. I was trying to work out of it was the same watch as the one he was wearing a year ago when he signed his first pro deal, or if he had a collection https://www.instagram.com/p/C8-BN8otLqt/?img_index=1
  6. Bruce Channel - Mister Bus Driver
  7. I wonder if that’s a real β€œ Rolex β€œ he’s wearing ?
  8. Today
  9. Really pleased to see Litherland and Powell, in particular, sign extend contracts with the club. Two lads who have made huge progress this season and hopefully, will be part of the senior squad next season. It can only be good news that the best of our youngsters are given the time to develop with the club.
  10. The 3 teams that have come up this season are all going down in embarassing fashion because none have anywhere near enough quality to compete. The gap between Premier League and Championship is as big as it ever has been, the whole pyramid is fucked financially. Southampton are celebrating getting to 12 points. Ipswich signed quite a few top players at Championship level and have been miles off
  11. the three that went up and came straight back down did so because they were far to open and tried to out play superior opponents, there was no plan to grind out games and thus they were all cut apart in 75% of the games they played in st vincent kompanies burnley were a case in question,it`s absolute folly to try and outpass a superior footballing side, you will lose every week and when you start losing that badly ,it`s very hard to turn it round
  12. my dad was team mates with gordon taylor when they were both in the reserves at bolton in the early 60`s,he was said he was a right big headed w*****r!!!,franny lee was also in and about the reserves due to his varying levels of fitness!!!! and they had a small lad called alan ball coming through the ranks, who they rather stupidly released, stating he was to small😁
  13. We’re far more likely to sell a first team striker and buy a 17 year old with no experience to replace him.
  14. And we should all be grateful to our abusers benevolent overlords πŸ˜‰
  15. "as the fans requested, we have extended players contracts"
  16. More of a general blanket to all good sir. I get excited if there's more replies on this transfer thread, you'd think I'd of outgrown the disappointment phase when there's no news to report πŸ€£πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. I suspect our owners are trying to sell Boggan and Yates is a complete smokescreen.. We will sign an experienced striker if we can sell Boggan,,, It is bollocks! Remind me who we signed when Adam Wharton was sold on the very cheap?
  18. I can only assume you're talking about Chaddy and rf99, not me. That would also have no correlation to talking about Yates as if he was a replacement for Boggan though.
  19. It's just a convoluted way of saying "LOL why have an Academy when everyone good just gets nicked before they turn 18. Here's the latest in the queue"
  20. Come on chaps pm each other if you want to cuddle so much
  21. 'Blackburn could soon have a pressing need to bring Yates to Ewood Park if young striker Joe Boggan is sold by the Rovers, after Football Insider revealed that five clubs across Europe want the 17-year-old.' That's an incredibly strange thing to say. Why would losing a youth striker, with zero first team appearances (including on the bench I think) with more U18 appearances last season than U21, necessitate us, in any way, getting a 28 year old first team striker? I'll file this under 'they don't know what they're talking about'.

  23. To be to Leicester fans they do see Forest as their local rivals, so why not have a bit of craic on a sunny afternoon away from home.
  24. There were a few other fan reactions that made me laugh this weekend. Southampton fans celebrating like they'd won the league after securing a lucky 0-0 draw against City. Followed by Leicester fans taunting Forest after the match finished 2-2 and put a serious dent in Forest's Champs League chances. Both teams got relegated. Shouldn't they keep quiet?
  25. Blackburn could soon have a pressing need to bring Yates to Ewood Park if young striker Joe Boggan is sold by the Rovers, after Football Insider revealed that five clubs across Europe want the 17-year-old. Great journalism. We could have a pressing need to replace a kid who has never played proper football with a journeyman 28 year old Championship striker. Yates is average, would probably prefer Ohashi. Would be better competition than Gueye but I suspect he wont be coming here anyway and that is a dodgy source linking a million and one teams with him.
  26. Think this ship has sailed tbh... Can't see it.. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1273038761?-11198:839
