  1. Past hour
  2. If Tronstadt didn’t play again this season we would go down easily. It’s as bad a midfield as I’ve ever seen without him.
  3. We've been decent though for most parts of our games excluding the obvious shite performances we haven't been terrible. The standard of games in the championship this season has been somewhat lacking in quality up and down the table, we've shown we can play but just so damn inconsistent no two games the same effort
  4. The top three managed this last season, Sunderland were next best with 33.
  5. He did a very good turn and turn again and turn again into the winger. That was fun. 😐
  6. The money they’ve turned into shares and the money they’ve lent are both seen as investments of the holding company. I believe they are stupid enough to conflate this with the value of the club.
  7. If we were coordinated better as a fan base it would be a good time to halt attendances perhaps
  8. He was woeful. I did wonder if Ismael had been told he had to bring him back in. You can’t increase asset value and all that shit if they don’t feature.
  9. *Cue Merce with his ‘this time next year…’
  10. Can't even believe Tavares came on last night. Just shows how lacking in depth we are
  11. Otis Redding - These Arms Of Mine
  12. Only 100% vote so far. Some great names, next week isn’t bad either! Any underrated games of the 90s that deserve their moment in the spotlight? Outside of the Playoff Final, VE Day etc
  13. Hopefully they are and administration is just around the corner.
  14. Venkys have deliberately relegated the club from the premier league and have deliberately sabotaged any attempt at getting back there. He would be such a massive step up from them. And yes, I am well aware of how shit he is.
  15. They've won 4 on the bounce and have settled into the League. With the standard of the division they'll be fancying a play off spot. This time last year we were in the top 6 of this league and they were in their first season in League One. Now we go there as underdogs. I wonder if anyone at Ewood wonders why a side like Wrexham can invest and improve whilst we are flailing around as a total irrelevance in the Championship. Must be the project bearing fruit.
  16. I don't believe they are stupid enough to think they are adding value by keeping hold of the club. They are simply paying running costs which can never been seen as an investment. The £220 million has gone and they know that. Despite their great wealth, there will be a point at which they say enough is enough. Boycotting matches/season tickets to reduce income will make them sit up and take notice.
  17. This is my era; what a list that is 🏆 Uncle Jack has to be the most sure-fire vote on all of these lists, from all of the eras, surely?
  18. On the bench tonight Barrett - score/update - game on Sky Sports + (if you fancy watching Barrett try to avoid getting splinters in his behind)
  19. I wonder if they realised early on they'd dropped the ball with Sid so went all out for this guy to plug that hole ? Or more likely they were prepping to lose Cantwell and/or Tronstad.
  20. Sell it for a quid and add in a £1 million a year payment for 150 years !! Might shift it and it's the only way that company will ever see its money again.
  21. After last night, I won't be venturing out, I have a good idea how the game will go too.. Venkys Out
  22. No, if you opted out of buying a ST in the first place, the prospect of paying a tenner for this particular game when you can watch it for nothing on the red button, is unlikely to have much appeal. If it was towards the end of the season and we needed three points to guarantee making the play offs or something then obviously it's a completely different proposition and that would be a great offer.
  23. Today
  24. Historically a business was valued at 3.5x its yearly profits. That grew in some instances to 6x its profits post covid. We lose circa 20 million per year. Whatever you pay, add 400k a week on immediately if buying the Rovers. The decent thing would be to release the club at no charge to someone willing to fund the debt and invest.
  25. QPR deserved the win, no question about that. They played with a higher tempo, were able to string a few passes together and had an attacking midfield trio (Chair, Dembele, Saito) who could carry the ball forward and cause problems. We looked devoid of any ideas other than utilising Alebiosu's pace on the right hand side to break through lines and put crosses into the box. Some other takeaways from our 'gameplan': - Doesn't work playing with two strikers at the moment. Ismael wants to be more direct but it comes at the expense of giving up control in midfield. Morishita likes to drift to the right hand side but Hedges becomes isolated on the left once first line of press from Ohashi and Gudjohnsen is played through. - We barely got any momentum throughout the whole game. A lot of clearances, long balls, misplaced passes and low tempo whenever in possession. Miller was particularly wasteful. Transfer worries: - New signings De Neve and Morishita lacks game intelligence. De Neve missed to pick up Smyth twice inside the box, one led to the winning goal and the other resulted in an effort that hit the post. Morishita keeps blocking Alebiosu's path forward when in possession. - Gudjohnsen missed two good chances to score. Weak in the challenges otherwise, need to 'bulk up' and add a few more pounds of muscle in the gym. - Tavares is now apparently behind both Montgomery and Forshaw in the pecking order. Money wasted if he doesn't improve. - Miller needs to improve his technique and passing game. - Our 'spine' (goalkeeper, central defence, central midfield) is weak at the moment. Small part of it can be excused due to injuries but failed recruitment strategy in the transfer market is the main culprit here.
