  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t think Britain is a world beater but it’s the inevitably of replacing him with someone inferior that makes it yet another nail in our eventual relegation coffin.
  3. If, and only if, we bring in Miller to replace Brittain, that is an okay deal. Seems like a decent player and has international experience, alongside covering CB while Carter is injured. Suspect Alebiosu is the starter, certainly RoversTV has been pushing him, and from what I heard of preseason he seems decent.
  4. I'm surprised that more teams don't try it from the kick-offs.
  5. I like Brittain a lot and he had a great season last year, but I think if we went back 18 months ago in the forum there would be a lot saying not good enough etc. I wouldn't say hes guaranteed to have a good season this year. Could be he just had a good season last year. Shame to lose him though, would have loved to keep him. Tronstad and Travis concern me more as they have proven themselves as top Championship performers over a longer period.
  6. The 'Pride of Lancashire' stuff is very PNE to me. Sort of thing they'd roll out Nor should 'pride' be mentioned anywhere near Ewood these days. A sick joke.
  7. I'm sure Glen will have more than a decent recap to give us when the time is right...
  8. Be great across the pretty full Blackburn End - oh yeah, that’s right, they hiked up prices and have done their best to thin it out… they’ll have to use the stewards to stop it falling between the empty rows.
  9. Deary me But at least "we listen to fans"
  10. Link A or bust for me. The only one aside from B that is unmistakably ours (anyone can say Pride Of... or similar) and I abhor the way the bastards we have at the minute try and hide behind Uncle Jack. They shouldn't be afforded such grace.
  11. Injury is a tad annoying but it’s nowhere near the extent Nixon reported
  12. That seems strange, as going off the video I posted (admittedly 3 years old) he is quick with good feet, and can even shift direction quickly for a big lad. Perhaps he has other attributes but it feels like playing him at RCB wastes some of his best attributes.
  13. Gutting to lose Brittain. Big part in how we play but Millar is a very good signing so fair play.
  14. It was a joke posted the other day.
  15. I note there is a flag competition on X at least - vote for a huge flag to display in the BE - I went for B.
  16. Another batch of money made, funny how we never replace with the amount we’ve made or more.
  17. i doubt miller will arrive,we`ve already bought brittains replacement in alebiosu
  18. Still a massive blow to lose Brittain, no way can we get someone as good. At least we are looking to proactively replace him permanently although the injury is a concern. Hopefully he will be back ASAP. Seems to be quick and powerful which makes sense considering what we seemingly are desperate for. From reading online, he seems to have done well in the last few months of the season playing as a right centre back and a few Hibs fans have commented saying that hes a good right centre back but not a right back.
  19. If we bring in Miller I'll hold my hands up, I absolutely was not expecting a replacement. I don't know much about him but the consensus seems good. Still, sort out Brittains contract 12 months ago and we wouldn't need to replace him.
  20. brittain is going to be a big miss with his attacking instinct,we`ll struggle down that side with no dolan and now no brittain, maybe val is going all long ball for this season, negating the need for attacking down the flanks think we all know that travis will be next out of the door and im`e very surprised that sonny is`nt courting any interest
  21. Absolutely. Gestedes stance just shows he's not got a hope, and not competent.
  22. Today
  23. Yeah but both McGuire and his agent were critical of the club when that happened If no issue with Baradji medical surely they would be saying something or his club if we led them up the garden path and started trying to alter the deal after he arrived
  24. I've been wondering if the holdup on further activity was the Brittain sale and seeing if we could get Baradji for a sufficiently low guaranteed fee. But then I keep remembering that outgoing transfers have no impact on our budget according to Gestede (a stance I find hard to believe, as surely without all these sales we would be spending even less).
  25. Yeah, there's no way on earth anything like that could ever happen. *Cough* (Mcguire)
  26. It's almost as if we have no money and needed a sale.
