  1. Past hour
  2. Thinking back to my post earlier with the picture showing a reference to the peaceful protests in Parliament Square, it wouldn’t be an easy thing to copy. First, stewards would confiscate any placards. Second, Ewood is a private place so I’m not sure there is any right to protest even peacefully. Third, if maybe lots of ‘senior’ fans linked arms with placards (or even lay down) outside the ground, I suspect they would then get abused by fans who just want to watch a match. I think first base should be a match boycott –see what the appetite is among fans for straightforward action. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Glen (and I’m sure there are many others, now and in the past) for efforts to make this club better. It must be very difficult with an obdurate, arrogant and distant regime willing to use bullying and litigious methods against its own fanbase.
  3. I went to a handful of matches when they were in the Championship, went to 3 at Ewood and 2 at Leyland. I'm not going to watch them again now until Venkys have left. They've turned a competitive outfit worthy of our blue and white halves into a really tinpot, regional lower league outfit that plays against teams we've never heard of and gets stuffed every single week (except this week). This team is certain to be relegated again, further into obscurity. I think they would be best just folding until the Venkys have gone, it's tragic what they've done. I think continuing a women's team in this guise probably does more harm to the football club's image than not having one at all. Fair play to the young women who are still turning up and playing for the love of the sport, but let's be honest, it's not competitive in the slightest. I think if Venkys suddenly decided to take the men's side out of the football league and apply for us to enter the National League, we'd agree to walk away and leave it to collapse on itself and try and pick up the pieces afterwards when they've gone, I think we should take the same approach here. (I accept that scenario would be unlikely to ever happen in the men's game, even under these idiots, but just trying to make the point of how catastrophic that decision in the summer was)
  4. I suggested this early on to turn out in force for them
  5. 2 votes for me... Venky's - all leads back to them, the good and err... everything else! Adam Wharton - best player of the era, who literally kept the lights on midst Venky's tax affairs. What an empty cupboard!
  6. I see O'Neill has let be known he would have been happy to carry on!
  7. I wonder if suddenly lots of fans turned up for a 'home' match, whether that money would help the Ladies team, or just into the general pot? 1st point, start of the great escape - would be good for all those who (rightly) bemoaned what happened to them over the Summer turned up for a match over the festive period.
  8. That back four looks amazing compared to what we have now. Its going to be a tough period ahead. Rovers 1 Millwall 2.
  9. Ismael's comments about the January window are delusion. Not sure whether he's just kidding himself or the fanbase. Players are rarely signed in the first two weeks of the month and certainly not at this club. Also it's nigh on impossible to shift out players that nobody else want. Apart from that a player such as DeNeve will just sit out the remainder of his contract here.
  10. Oh to have Don Mackay to come and work miracles with the budget / squad... VI is frustrating - clearly it is a weak squad, and at times he has had positives (but for 2 pitch floods we'd be in a less nervous league position) - but the substitutions, time and time again goals against quickly flow. Nervous times.
  11. Rovers 1 Millwall 3 10,254 with several thousand less actually in there.
  12. I'm wondering if Morishita will go RWB, with TGH in midfield with Tronstad. Baradji on the bench again.
  13. I was thinking more organised protests in advance, rather than people going home early pissed off because we were losing or the game had been called off because we havent got a playable pitch!
  14. Today
  15. Pears/Toth Miller. McLoughlin. Pratt TGH. Tronstad Baradji. Hedges Cantwell Gudjohnsen. Ohashi
  16. Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday come to mind
  17. Not unless the Riverside leaving early counts
  18. I'll bet it isn't! Have we seen either concerted protests or mass walk outs during games? I genuinely don't recall them if we have.
  19. Oh, to have Batth, Beck, Brittain, & Hyam back! That’s the difference in about 13 places on the table right now.
  20. That defence is embarassing. And it is not just a bad selection, no one could make a respectable defence.
  21. I think, this is the game to boycott , in disgust at the owners and SKY with another crazy kick off time ! Hope it doesn't rain hard !
  22. replace Ribeiro with De Neve and it becomes a bottom half league one defence.
  23. That could be the worst back four in Championship history, not just Rovers
  24. Of course, I didn't think of it that way, even more bonkers and laughable 😄
