  2. Wouldnโ€™t say clearly going to go he will only go when we get a fair fee for him so until then he should be available as normal
  3. What as in (for example) "Venky's/ Steve Kean/ Waggott/ Pasha/Gestede they're not really for me but it's fair enough if other people like them" Whilst you seem completely happy for people on here to have a broad range of opinions on anything you seem completely intolerant of any criticism of anything that's said at the Forum and want to take your bat and ball home anytime anyone says anything critical. We all get that everyone gives up their time for free etc and we are all appreciative of that but no-one forces you to do it and you have to accept that not everyone will agree with what the Club say or do or the responses all the time. In fact probably not very often in the current climate.
  4. Phil Phillips And The Twilights - Sea Of Love
  5. If they knew their history they would realise that Darwen FC were once the Dingles of the day
  6. All part of the 'Rovers IS Blackburn' strategy - only refer to Blackburn/Darwen landmarks, only make any effort to promote the club/sell tickets in Blackburn/Darwen, only engage sponsors based in Blackburn/Darwen. Smaller and smaller we go.
  7. Dubois to throw absolutely everything at Usyk, and try to roughhouse him in the first 5 rounds. If he's not KO'd him by then Usyk wins easily. DD has a Puncher's chance but still expect Usyk to win.
  8. The green one is quite nice, this one is a bit grim.
  9. Yeah but in fairness jdt had one of the full backs pushed on playing like they had a free role, they had the worst goalkeeper I'd seen in Whalstedt behind them and players like Markanday and Garrett starting a number of games yet riding the bench in League One and 2 the following season In JDTs first season we took a few hammerings but in the main the defence was solid
  10. Living near Hull I have seen McLaughlin many times and have friends and family who support Hull City. He is a popular player and generally regarded as being a solid pro. Unspectacular but reliable. I think heโ€™s a good sort and has the championship experience our other signings lack. Heโ€™s always looked a bit short of pace when Iโ€™ve seen him, but that didnโ€™t seem to hold Danny Batth back last season. Sensible signing I feel. Scored a lovely own goal for us last season too!
  11. We could do with an end to this avoidable and frustrating Brittain situation. He is clearly going to go, we need to then get in a replacement before the start of the season. Makes no sense to him tomorrow, just as I hold no grudge against him for not playing a friendly last week. Competitive game, can understand more, but doesnt benefit either us or him to play him if hes not staying. Give Alebiosu some minutes instead. Brittain will be a huge loss and depressingly to a team that we are supposedly fighting with, and another who finished below us.
  12. I never understand why people have to rate something as being so good or bad, instead of just โ€˜itโ€™s not for me, but itโ€™s fair enough if other people like itโ€™. Imagine someone being my that arrogant that they think their opinion trumps everyone else and they wonโ€™t listen to any different opinions. What a world we live in.
  13. Why didn't they celebrates our success, with the years we won stuff all around the base of the shirt - celebrate the club, not the town?
  14. No worries. Are you going? If so, you'll have a belter. One for the ages.
  15. The idea doesn't bother me although we are celebrating the club not the town so I'd have preferred older images relating to Ewood and the club in general. I don't like the fact that the 'print' is a darker colour falling on the yellow which means it looks predominantly a kind of a dirty mustardy brown colour. I'd have preferred it to be a base colour which didn't go such crappy shade when it goes darker. Red or grey maybe. Also makes it a bit more subtle.
  16. Today
  17. I get not liking a kit or kits but to completely ignore how subjective their appeal is and to call for heads to roll is laughable, sorry. The home strip looks cheap and uninspiring, but I think the away and third are gorgeous.
  18. Think Mcloughlin is a solid replacement for Batth. Similar players but younger and more mobile. Still think we need one more center back considering Carterโ€™s become injury prone and Wharton only just returning. I hope we bring another on, more likely a loan or a foreign import.
  19. A deal has to be done for Brittain with either Middlesbrough or Derby. Think his heart is no longer with Rovers now and doubtful it will be again. No doubt sales' proceeds will just finance the 3/4 deals so far with any residual trousered.
  20. I don't disagree, but I think it's just a very average quartet at this level (presuming they all keep fit). What Eustace did well was develop a shape with two midfielders who were well capable of protecting the space in front of the defence. The shape of the team was a contributing factor almost as much as the players. In JDT's final season, Wharton, Carter, Hyam were fit and partnered together for the vast majority of the season and conceded the 3rd-most goals in the league (74)
  21. Only concern is that Carter can't stay fit and Wharton will take a lot of time to get match ready again. Think young Atcheson will be appearing on the bench quite a bit, especially early doors.
  22. On the young players, of course the better ones should be in the squad. If you think they are good enough now, or will become good enough over the next season or two with experience, then they should be included. This is why the re-signing of Forshaw was bizarre unless we are expecting more departures. That does block their pathway, especially if Montgomery is seen as any good. Experience isn't really relevant when Trosntadt has played almost as many senior games and Travis isn't too far behind. They were the experienced pro's.
  23. Before he left at least he was a better defender than Brittain. We'd need a good RW but we need one of those anyway with Dolan leaving. Incidentally I noted a site online estimating Nyambe was on 4k p.w. when he was here. No wonder he was desperate to leave. I'd imagine Dolan was on something similar, maybe adjusted upwards slightly for inflation.
