  1. Past hour
  2. Well done fellas but how the fuck did you not get Paul Dickov? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜˜
  3. Pears doesnโ€™t want to be a number 2. Val prefers Toth (rightly so). Probably too early for Michalski to be number two. Needs to be playing regularly for his development.
  4. No Buckley surely means baradji is all but a done deal
  5. If we move Pears and Buckley that just creates more holes in the squad. I'd prefer to keep them around than have more youngsters or cheap replacements.
  6. Some comments are taking it out on the players, useless de neve, he was the best thing since sliced bread when he scored the winner against Everton. Give them some slack, and let's see them in action when the Championship starts.
  7. Looks to me like the Dutch had it planned out no Rovers supporters allowed, and no overnight stay for the Rovers team.
  8. If it had been at Ewood it would have been 4-0 to rovers. The Dutch would have been knackered before a ball was kicked, and outsung if they weren't allowed in.
  9. Rangers playing catch-up already and Celtic havenโ€™t even kicked a fucking ball yet.
  10. Who could have possibly predicted such as strange occurrence?
  11. Early days but it looks like Martinโ€™s ego is exceeding his playersโ€™ abilities again.
  12. Their forum makes amusing reading, Apparently he played Rothwell as the deepest of his midfield 3, and a right back (Max Aarons) at left back I have no dog in the whole Rangers/Celtic thing, but I vehemently dislike Russell Martin, so for as long as he is there, I wish them nothing but disaster & disappointment
  13. Apparently they've faced 51 shots in 3 games. Can't see this ending well
  14. Brad Lyons - Kilmarnock. Ex rovers. Has come on leaps and bounds. I wonder if we had a buy back/sell on Clause? Could provide really good cover both in defence and central midfield. Be a neat addition... Christ we are scraping the bread bin aren't we at this stage..
  15. I would suggest you read Ismael's post match comments about Pears and Buckley. https://x.com/_ElliottJackson/status/1951692224795664426
  16. You need ti get 3 a time in then usually one turns out quite good, one flatters to deceive and the other is useless. We wait with baited breath to see what this season brings but i really fear there'll be nowt decent this time because they don't want to pay the wages anymore.
  17. I laughed tonight when I saw Russell Martin's interview after Rangers had drawn against Motherwell. He actually said some of the Rangers players have to drop their egos........as he ran his fingers through his dyed hair and stroked his beard. Rangers were booed off by their fans who clearly aren't liking his Primark Pep style of football.
  18. Well they're clearly wrong about the hip injury. If he's not the hair transplant problem guy after wearing a cap all summer, I'll show my arse in the mall. You've got more chance of persuading me Trump isn't on the Epstein list. The manager talking like that about his future is interesting though. Doesn't necessarily mean he is third choice though, could just be unhappy being second choice after being number one for most of the last two seasons. I'd be very surprised if a kid with minimal experience is suddenly ahead of him. I certainly won't be sad if we can get a reasonable price and a better replacement though. Wouldn't be happy going into the season with Michalski as the cover yet. Toth needs proper competition.
  19. what a complete and utter over reaction to one pre season game. Shame you didn't watch the pre season game against Everton, would have the opposite view to today. You predict the same thing last season so maybe hold off on the prediction for one.
  20. Thanks for this, seems they are intent on lighting the blue torch paper!!!! "Gonna need a bigger boat"
  21. From LT:- Aynsley Pears and John Buckleyโ€™s time at Blackburn Rovers could be coming to an end after the pair were left out of the squad to face NEC Nijmegen. Pears has not featured in pre-season yet due to a hip injury but did play 90 minutes for the Under-21s in midweek. He kept a clean sheet as they beat Barnsley in a behind-closed-doors match. โ€œIt was a decision that we made,โ€ Ismael told The Lancashire Telegraph on their absence. โ€œI donโ€™t know what the situation is for them and the future. We took a decision for the squad today and thatโ€™s who we picked, thatโ€™s it.โ€ Itโ€™s understood that both Pears and Buckley asked to play in the midweek match for gametime but that has done little to change the pecking order. Rovers will surely entertain any offers forthcoming with neither play likely to be content with sitting out.
  22. I wasn't there (I was at Accrington) but a friend who was there said it was harsh. He said it was a foul by Dunn but he was sent off for DOGSO when the Ashton player was a long way from goal and Batty would have got round as cover. The Ashton manager even remonstrated with the referee as they wanted an 11v 11 game.
  23. I'd be amazed if Pears is behind Michalski in the pecking order. It will just be because of his hair transplant gone wrong. It's kept him out of games and behind in his fitness and preparation. I'm sure once he's up to speed he will be back on the bench. Not sure if Buckley will leave yet, but I agree with the rest. It's a friendly. People have been getting too excited by the 100% start before it, and too worried by this game too. Although that sort of thing always happens after a win or defeat.
