  1. Past hour
  2. The referee was abysmal. And I don't say that because we lost. During the first half the Brum fans were singing, "You're not fit to referee". Then, during the second half the Rovers fans were singing the same and the Brum fans joined in. 19,000 people singing it. We have many poor refs but this fella takes the biscuit.
  3. Mitrovic's wages means its a none starter. Wagner is investing millions and millions in the city of Birmingham and its different sporting clubs plus he has increased the commercial revenue of the club. They are expecting £50 millions this season in revenue. They have commercial deals with Delta Airlines, Vertu Motors and Coral have all joined Nike and Undefeated
  4. Have some sympathy Rev. Put yourself in their shoes. How can you do well commercially and market the only club to be a founding member of both the football league and premier league, winning both, with a historic and recognisable badge and unique kit colours that have inspired European super clubs.
  5. You don't quite drop off that quickly (speaking as someone who's noticed that I've lost a yard of pace recently), but it does sneak up on you. People have to remember Batth isn't playing against 30-odd year olds in a kick about. He's playing against teenagers and 20 year olds at the peak of their powers. If you lose half a step it's noticeable. Look at Casemiro at United - he runs like he's broken a hip and he's only 33 (supposedly). Professional sport is unforgiving.
  6. Just excuses from you. We don't play the right final pass or crosses. nothing to do with anticipating. The great Alan Shearer would struggled to score in this team. I would suggested yet again you actually look at what I said I want before the window ends instead of this tripe I said a forward who can play up front but wide aswell plus a right winger and centre midfielder to replace Travis. A Rothwell type centre midfielder would be ideal to replace Travis. But players need to move on as we can't keep stock piling players I agree there is middle ground but we have to find the players we need on the budget hence we were have scouts like Piotr Sadowski and Michael Cairney to find these players
  7. @chaddyrovers You get dodgy refereeing decisions and miss game defining chances all the time. Every team does. The thing is when you can’t score yourselves every little incident is vital. The trick is to score more goals yourselves then these things aren’t even on the fans minds on their way home or for days afterwards. The other trick is to see past these incidents, see the bigger picture and understand why the team is living on the brink every game.
  8. Exactly...and your point is? The difference between Brady and Wagner and us on the Mitrovic deal if it comes off is that they'll go and find extra investment or sponsorship to pay for or at least offset the cost of the deal. We just sit there going "What can we do?"
  9. Wagner has invested in the city of Birmingham and other sporting teams in the city Birmingham Phoenix Hundred franchises and have acquired a significant stake in the Birmingham Panthers netball team. Plus building a new stadium for city.
  10. You are creating scorelines that didnt happen and suggesting that the reaction would have been different had the result been different. I did likewise. Its not a difficult concept to follow.
  11. We dont create many chances although a part of that is strikers anticipating where the ball will fall. Our whole attack is very poor in the main. A massive area of weakness that we seem likely to think will be solved just by signing 1 winger. I see you have gone from us thinking we do need a striker based on your original opinion, to not in order to base your opinion, back to now needing one having seen how toothless we are. Sadly, seems unlikely. Examples like Mitrovic and Kyogo are obviously never going to be realistic but there is certainly a middle ground between that and how little we spend. Especially on wages hence why none of our players will sign new contracts.
  12. I'm not really angry with him, but with the whole sorry mess at Ewood that has gone on for so long, since well before I retired and appears likely to still be going on when I'm long gone. So many fans lost, so many who will likely never return.
  13. I think he only won 4 last season and 0 this?
  14. Good to hear from you bob, stick around we could do with some more gallows humour.
  15. Incidentally, on the corner. ..from my position, it looked like VI definitely urged Tavares to take the corner instead of Ribeiro. (not that it makes a huge difference -plenty of defending needed after that.)
  16. Yet in terms of actual wealth Venky's could probably put Brady and Wagner in their back pocket.
  17. As soon as I read that I knew we were in big trouble.
  18. We are in administration without being in administration.
  19. We’d need to be signing a new team of 11 players to spend that much. £3 million a year.
  20. You can tell you’re a nice guy, most on here would get along with you having a pint, however you are so blind to everything BRFC it’s frightening.
  21. Harsh…a fan shows empathy and…🤷‍♂️
  22. Spurs and Leeds are looking at him aswell. Birmingham willing to 60k a week. We can't afford that simple
  23. What’s your view on the club no longer even having a Sky Sports subscription?
  24. The Government can't get involved in the running of football. As far as the FA, EFL and the football authorities Venkys are running the club properly, wages are paid on time, bills paid on time, Selling players to fund the club.
