  1. Past hour
  2. Wonder when Tavares is ready, hard to say we need another CM when we haven’t seen our signing yet.
  3. Can we stop chatting Dolan it's boring.
  4. Or maybe both Weimann and Batth were going to be squad players. Another 3 is what we need. Ismael has said he wants permanent signings. No interest in loans. Also said they are all aligned.
  5. Putting this here as he is a point of discussion:
  6. Not the most talented of players, but will still be a miss as he was often a nuisance for the opposition. He became more important as the years went by and was a key player these past couple of years. Of course, there are better players out there. He should be replaced properly, but we all know the age old question and concern regarding that. Gave it his all in a Rovers shirt, was good with the fans, particularly the kids and is an honest pro. Dolan was one of the good guys here and knew what a joke it is upstairs. There's no blame on him for leaving from me. It's a shame we don't have a proper Board and ownership here, Ty, and it's a bigger shame we couldn't get the club back to where we belong together. Thanks for your efforts though. Pasha out. Venky's out.
  7. Didn't you say Dolan was average Championship winger? Let's see how this transfer works out for him first before you go OTT about him. Yes we need another right winger signing dont think it's leaves big hole
  8. Lovely away support! Lots of fun banter (songs), Venky’s out, Senegalese flag in the crowd when Gueye scored and a great day. Very pleased to meet some nice people who are always welcoming and polite to a Scandinavian supporter 🙂
  9. And then quite a few (Kargbo, Cantwell, Toth, Wharton) the year after.
  10. Was a pretty dull game aside from the odd bit of needle poorly governed by the referee. Thats not a criticism of us, just typical pre season fare and purely a fitness exercise. De Neve is the only new signing who we have got a real look at. Again, impossible to judge quality or how he will do, but you get a feel for the type of player. He plays like what he is, someone who has played loads of football at left back playing further forward. He works hard, hes athletic without being really quick, runs back as quick as forward, can carry the ball, but when given it further forward he doesnt look like a player who will scare full backs. Just in terms of the balance of the team. Obviously we need a right winger and I hope we get a direct and attacking one who can offer a goal threat. My concern would be that without that and/or Kargbo in the team, certainly this is the case with Hedges, we would lack the attacking threat to hurt teams. Wharton showed a couple of signs of rust, which is totally to be expected considering its pre season and moreso how bad his injury was and how long he hasnt played for. That feels like the only position of jeopardy but I wonder if Ismael will go for McLoughlin. Wharton has never been the best on the ball anyway but is more old school.
  11. England won the last Test playing “boring” cricket. I guess some folk would rather lose than not be “entertained”. England’s day without doubt but Brook got out to a brainless Bazball shot - he’d be dropped at club level playing like that. india look a tired team. A lead of about 250 might be enough for England not to bat again
  12. Add Hedges, Montgomery & Mullarkey-Matthews to those 5 who are included in the squad now but out of contract next summer.
  13. Just record the fucking meeting live. Minutes wrote by a club patsy and 2 (4 last time) weeks to publish don't wash. 2 hours into 2 pages at the discretion of one "super fan" weak at the knees is bollocks. Time he left the role and recognised things need to change and fans want the consultation meetings reinstated for full and transparent accountability.
  14. Hated seeing spinning jenny Dolan on the team sheet, congrats to him and his family such a better quality of life, well done and good luck for the future, span around a lot and bad end product but always put a shift in.
  15. I never said that. Im suggesting that I am skeptical that what the club are leaking out actually happened. I would be less so if there wasnt such a recurring theme. Either way, he has gone now. His agent wasnt filling his head full of rubbish to lead him astray, Dolan didnt have ideas above his station, and it has worked out great for him because he did have an offer and it was a bloody good one in La Liga. Sadly for us, its not good because it leaves a big hole in our team.
  16. 2 or 3 is not enough I dont think. I suspect we might again encounter issues with squad depth as the season goes on, especially if Ismael wants to play high intensity football with a small squad again. We need to obviously prioritise the attack which looks well short considering Ismael seemingly likes to run them into the ground. The base of the team has a nice well organised feel if they all stay with some really good players at this level. But the attacking 4 likely to start the season doesnt fill me with much confidence, there arent many goals or much pace there, and theres little in reserve so its important to bring in 2 or 3. I think we could do with 5 personally. A right winger to come into the team is critical. Then I think its 2 from 3 - a centre back, a number 10 and a striker. I think we could also do with another cental midfielder but if we are restricted to 3, then we should bin off the Badarji deal and focus on more important positions. I find it strange that Ismael said 6 or 7 going into the summer, yet even though at least 2 have left that we didnt anticipate, that number hasnt changed. Maybe the pursestrings have been tightened again. Obviously the elephant in the room is still the 5 players (Brittain, Tronstad, Travis, Hyam and Tyjon) whose contracts end next summer. Lets see if we really have learnt our lesson.
  17. I know they did, that’s when we had this discussion last time. I.e. during the season, during, like they do with bundles, half STs and all the rest of it. They just aren’t going to offer it as an alternative option in the summer for the entire upcoming season for the reason I outlined. That doesn’t mean I and many other ST holders wouldn’t snap their hand off for one if it was offered… and that’s why they don’t, and won’t .
  18. Would you break wage structure to keep Dolan as you said average Championship player? I would for Brittain, Tronstad, Travis, Ohashi and Hyam to get that to sign new contracts
  19. Its convenient how we cant any key players to sign new deals. They must all want wage structure shattering wages.
  20. what about the article point about Dolan's wage demands? Good prospect for us have been all summer and yet he is still here same source who said Hull are interested in Brittain despite them can't pay fees for players and Derby bid for Brittain accepted yet he has just played for Rovers in a friendly Deffo, he needs a move where he will be regular
  21. So Ismael has told Elliot that he would like at least two new players before the end of the window, "3 would be perfect" he says. Nothing is close.
  22. Levels above Pears. Just a shame it took so long for us to drop Calamity and give Toth a run of games. But hopefully at least it means we have a decent, competent GK at this level for the first time since TK.
  23. has you would expect his decision making to be so given his age and the stage of his development
