  1. Past hour
  2. The only club below us in the table are a club in administration.
  3. The school was built on the site of were the pitch would have been after Rovers left for Ewood...pretty sure of that
  4. He should get a data job down Brockhall, they all work to that metric.
  5. Wow...just wow. If this is the jangled thought process of some of our fans then we are truly finished.
  6. If we finish 21st this season without needing to sack Ismael or spend much in January then Pasha and Gestede will be doing cartwheels around the corridors of Ewood. Their 'plan' will have paid off big time - major cost cuts, Championship survival and vindication. Another year on the gravy train and with Cantwell, Tronstad and another couple to flog in the summer - like Gueye to the UAE for a million or two - on it goes. I very much doubt that they will have bust a gut to get us into the top 6 last January - just not interested - it makes no material benefit to them. This is the measure of where we are - survive in the Championship and this lot are happy because it secures their positions.
  7. Us, Sheff Utd and Southampton are bottom three for underperforming our 'xG' Mid week saw Sheff Utd potentially start turning their fortune around - unfortunately we were the dummies on the other end. What happens Saturday..
  8. Yes and regardless of the division they are playing in their fans will be going into games optimistic, feeling that whatever result they get, everyone at the club is at least pulling in the right direction. They're a historic club with a good fan base, they'll be getting at least 20,000 every week in league one, probably 30,000 if they're playing well and they'll eventually back in this division. While we'll be rattling round in front of smaller and smaller crowds, fed up.
  9. Today
  10. "No-OnE KnEw HoW ImPoRtAnT HyAm WaS tO tHe TeAm" I'm sure Pasha would come out with some crap like that.
  11. It's a strange paradox I'm feeling about the news that Sheffield Wednesday will almost certainly be consigned to relegation if they are deducted 10 points. Whilst they will take up a relegation spot (it's likely one less to worry about for us) it moves them closer I believe to getting rid of their awful owner yet we are stuck with ours with no sign of anything like that happening to us. In a strange way it takes the pressure off the whole club unlike us where our purgatory seems eternal. Football fans and clubs deserve far better.
  12. It probably wasn't helped by some of our moronic fans chanting about killing him regularly at home games. I'm sure no one was seriously intending to do him any physical harm, but it's just a really brainless thing to sing anyway, for several reasons. He was probably able to say "I think I should step back due to threats to my safety and wellbeing". Resulting in him getting a year's salary on gardening leave.
  13. Sickening, the man may even be on full pay!
  14. Wednesday will be going down and they know it. It has been inflicted on them by their owner and his financial decisions. Very similar to Rovers then, the big difference being that our mob have used cash from player sales to pay the bills whereas Wednesday haven't really had that option. A year from now Wednesday will be in League One but most importantly rid of Chansiri and under new ownership. They can move on and look forward. What have we got?
  15. There has to be some underlying "well fk the fans for calling us all names and protesting and this that n the other" there has to be a grudge of some sort surely
  16. Just a ridiculous football club, it really is beyond laughable. So whatever Waggott was doing in return for his hefty salary he hasn't been doing since May, someone else down there has been picking up the slack, we haven't replaced him with any senior management appointment, yet he continues on the payroll for up to a year afterwards and remains appointed as a Club director at Companies House today (one of four directors, the others being Coar, Babu and Rao. In other news at least they've got around to removing David Lowe from the coaching staff website. They haven't had the decency to communicate his departure or to wish him well for the future but have at least updated the 'who's who' section of the website. I wonder if the most powerful man at the Club knows he's gone yet?
  17. Looks like Sheffield Wednesday will be deducted 10 points shortly as they are heading into administration today. Be a tough 2-3 years or so for them while they rebuild, but I would bet everything I own that they will be league or two higher than Rovers by the time we get into the next decade.

  20. Support 2 clubs? Never. I could never do that. Venkys killed it for me and all the guys I travelled with from Leyland. Under their tenure, long hard supporting fans fell away one by one over the last ten years or so. It finished up where I was driving to Ewood and walking down to Ewood to night matches in the dark, in the rain, on my own. I was in the riverside on the ground at one game where the stewards were wading into the D.E. To tackle demonstrating Rovers fans. That was at the club that I loved. I think the love ended there. I started to fall away at that point. I didn’t renew my season ticket and never heard a thing from Rovers. My attendance is limited now but I still watch every game I can on TV, follow everything in the media and “enjoy” the discussions on here. However the anger I have towards the owners currently dominates my feelings. I would love them to leave because we will never recover while they’re still here. Unfortunately the future post Venkys cannot be guaranteed either.

  22. Can’t say I’ve seen many goals this season but even the ones I have it has been verging on polite applause from me. Not because my passion for Blackburn Rovers as a ‘thing’ is waning, the opposite, it’s just a visceral dislike of what the regime is providing - no pressure to achieve and the resulting poor players with a poor manager in a soulless, decaying ground. The soul of BRFC now resides elsewhere and we need to fight for it, unfortunately that won’t happen with the Ewood attendees, so it’s Glen’s campaigns or it’s nothing.

  24. So that's another 400k he'll be getting for doing nothing then. This club is beyond repair.
  25. Yeah, it's a huge concern. Southampton, who are 18th, have nearly double (12) the amount of points we do (7). When they turn us over tomorrow, they'll be 8 points clear. 18. S'oton - 12 Points 19. Derby - 11 Points 20. Oxford - 9 points 21. Sheff Utd - 9 points 22. Norwich - 8 points 23. Rovers - 7 points 24. Sheff Wed - 6 points Norwich will sack Manning soon enough, Sheff Utd will get better and climb the table under Wilder, Derby have been poor but Eustace will start digging them out of trouble soon enough. Usually, someone drops like stone at some point in the season and heads toward danger but it will probably be too late for us. The absolute brass neck of the clubs hierarchy to suggest we aren't in a relegation battle is laughable.
