  1. Past hour
  2. Those 2 teams may well be our saving grace this season given their transfer bans. However, the 3 promoted teams look stronger than their equivalents in most other seasons, so unless the transfers team bring in a lot more Ohashi's than Telalovic' s, (without our owners selling off too much more of the family silver to keep the lights on) we are still looking for at least one more team to have a terrible season
  3. It seems to me that it's an arrangement that suits both parties - Everton have what they want and it's a perfect marketing opportunity for Rovers to play a game in the kit we will have launched 24 hours before. Of course it wouldn't be acceptable if it was a competitive game but for an early pre-season kickabout? Although I'm somewhat confused by the Everton post above in that case.
  4. Have we not played a competitive game at Ewood in our away kit once for some reason to do with the away side (either both kits they brought were a colour clash or they forgot one or something)? I feel like it's happened in the last 30 years at some point.
  5. Charlton have signed Rob Apter from Blackpool. A young winger (22) with an eye for goal. Saw this lad playing for Bamber Bridge when in his teens way too good for that level. One we should have been all over but too focussed on relegated teams from Europe and therefore missing one on your doorstep.
  6. The most positive way to look at this upcoming season for Vi is when the goal is to develop the youth and stay in the championship, Sheffield Wednesday’s not paying their players and Hulls not paying their transfer fees….so presumably staying up should be easier than most years.
  7. Salford City and Marine FC have also signed 3 guys, so that isn't really the point. If that's enough to keep you happy given the bigger picture then it does seem fairly shortsighted. I'm not saying this is you but the happy-clapping through leadership negligence, watching former players, current players, former managers, longstanding staff members, facilities and an entire women's team suffer at the hands of terrible ownership and a disingenuous board and accepting that is also very, very boring and wrong. There are some major problems at the club currently, one is no CEO and another is no one you would trust to identify and appoint a competent one. It currently isn't sustainable, there is an ownership issue, there is a board issue, major mistakes are being made... and it can't be ignored by everyone.
  8. Good morning this is Suhail Pasha calling, we are interested in your player but won't pay anything near your current asking price. Please let us know if nobody takes him and you still want rid, even if it's in 12 months time, where we will offer one third of what you are asking now. Please be aware though we won't be offering to pay him what you do so he might turn us down anyway' Bye.
  9. He played in a preseason for Sligo Rovers other day.
  10. Then you’ll remember the boos which went around Ewood as well
  11. Yeah if he was even a yard quicker he would be dangerous, but he gets forced inside all the time. His bulking up a couple of seasons ago was a mistake imo as it obviously slowed him down, when he already wasnt quick by Championship standards. Kargbo has pace so maybe has a higher "ceiling" as the pundits like to say.
  12. It's long standing interest allegedly we've enquired about him before so it's either we are waiting for desperation from Hull/the player (like when they got Hyam) or it's just the usual lazy journalism.
  13. Loans are normally the end of the windows when the prem clubs have sorted their own transfers
  14. It has been an exciting summer though. Just not at Ewood.
  15. This feels like a huge overreaction to me. Far more pressing things to be concerned about than wearing an away strip for a home friendly.
  16. The problem there is that it was not our marketing people who were inspired to do this. It was allegedly a request from Everton to benefit them, which Rovers readily went along with
  17. Really expected some loans and frees lined up once the window opened but not a peep on anything of the sort.
  18. Today
  19. Breezed passed the 300 mark. A bit of a mix up at mid-wicket on 295 but otherwise no real excitement.
  20. Rovers advanced talks : Good morning.
  21. It's a shirt in one pre-season match. As ever, the offer still stands for you to represent BRFCS on the Forum instead of sniping on here.
  22. I disagree, being small he has a good change of direction, but in my opinion he hasn't got pace, be it in a burst or any other form.
  23. Yep. O'Rourke was pretty much gospel a few years ago but he's less reliable than Nixon these days.
