  1. Past hour
  2. I also think they might struggle more than people think. Despite scrambling now to get some decent experienced Championship players, their squad is made up of unproven League One/Two players with some old heads that's well passed it. What got them here is not good enough for the next step. They will also find much harder if they continue with their route one style as Championship teams are much better in possession and will tire them out. Birmingham in contrast are in much better shape. They built a good Championship in League One with signings far above that level. They cruised the league and was seemingly untouchable. The core of their squad is good enough and if they maintain the promotion high they might do an Ipswich.
  3. Near 8million in the last year of his contract is crazy money if he recovers the form of two years ago could be key signing but he’s playing with a lesser team and a significantly lesser manager. Jury’s out at that price
  4. Don’t think he can stay the same age forever
  5. Tronstad will stay 29 years old...won't command a big fee better keep and he may sign a new deal. U
  6. I would be all.over getting Kieffer.l Moore in.
  7. Fabulous morning, couldn't have asked for much better before a ball was bowled. The loss of Woakes still means that we're probably not as ahead in the game as it feels just now.
  8. Obviously overpriced but a very good signing at this level. Ipswich were reluctant to go and thats with some brilliant other wingers at their club. You compare purely on quality to what we are bringing in, they are getting a proven top end Championship player.
  9. Paying way over the top to try build a squad with championship experience. Same as any promotion you have to spend to try compete with teams that already have that amongst their ranks. Hardest part for them is sides know they have money and every player linked goes up a fair bit in price. Don’t get me wrong they are some good players that have signed, but are they better than what we already have
  10. Getting the band back together Broadhead joined Everton at the age of 10 from Wrexham.
  11. Main issue Wrexham may find is actually bedding everyone in. Might take them a few months to get them firing. Their squad from last season isn't too dissimilar from the one that Rovers smashed in the cup a couple of years back, obviously they have/are signing quality players, with experience, but it seems a but late in the window for them to mount a real charge at the top end of the table Think they will end up in the top 8 or 10
  12. Signing Kieffer Moore for Β£2m as well.
  13. Cant see a vast amount of resale value there either πŸ˜‰
  14. Wrexham apparently paying 7.5 mill for Nathan Broadhead 🀣🀣🀣
  15. Derby have signed Rhian Brewster. He cost Sheff Utd like Β£25m a few years back but has a really poor goal scoring record overall.
  16. We have "goodbyes" too- Dolan, Weimann, Batth, Brittain.... to be continued.
  17. Today
  18. Yea can understand his angle aiming for energy and pace. We shall see what game one brings
  19. And we could bring Tyjon through only for him to fuck off for well under value at the end of the season. Until he signs that contract I have absolutely zero interest in potentially sacrificing our season to develop him.
  20. Exactly, as I've said many times, we never build on anything that's gone before. We rip it all up and start again, each time going lower.
  21. I didnt know Harvey Knibbs was an attacking midfielder (more a CF) ..Seems like his move to Charlton maybe in doubt, wonder if he's worth a punt.
  22. 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Sheffield United 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Southampton, Swansea, West Brom and Middlesbrough 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and Hull 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 12th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Sheffield Wednesday 7. Winners of the Premier League Chelsea 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) Pasha and Gestede have a squabble and settle it with pistols at dawn at Ewood. Sadly only one will win πŸ˜‚
  23. Jinx ☝️ But you’re right on Duckett, his arrogance got the better of him and he gave his wicket away after 3 or 4 scoop shots on the trot, stupid. But they’ve put us in a good position after 13 overs, England are 92!!
