  1. Past hour
  2. I've searched can't see it. Peaked at 9pm last night at 1.11m then fell to 0.6m at 7am, now at 0.62m.
  3. The wind is certainly a greater risk to the people going to the game.
  4. The Darwen flows into the Ribble at Walton-le-Dale, downstream of Samlesbury. In any event the water isn't going to back up the river as far as Ewood. The issue is the other way, how much water comes down the valley into Darwen and the river. The Met Office had a yellow warning for rain for today yesterday but that has gone now. I would have thought that the wind is a bigger risk of the game being postponed right now.
  5. Genuine question. Any historical way it seeing the level it was at 2 weeks ago?
  6. I'd us rather be known as the club who had a problem, then fixed it. But that won't happen.
  7. Does anyone know if Ewood has a smart meter? 😂
  8. Oh no! I was thinking last night when I saw the rain was carrying on into today that this just wouldn't be playable. If I were the club last night I would seriously have thought about taking a better safe than sorry approach and calling it off at 8am before the Stoke fans set off. If this game isn't played in full then it's a disaster for BRFC from an optics perspective. I'd much rather take the flack for being too cautious than be known as the club who constantly abandons/postpones games late in the day.
  9. Groundsmen taking bets on how long before pasha comes running down shouting "Turn them fucking lights off"
  10. Pitch inspection maybe ? Sensible people will be staying indoors whatever the refs decision.
  11. Why are the floodlights on three hours before the game starts? 🤔
  12. Sounds like we are confident it’s on them, when I saw the floodlights on earlier I wondered if there were doing a pitch inspection! Its raining a decent amount but not enough for concern however it is genuinely minging
  13. A question you can only answer when he plays if it was sensible decision or not. That's my answer. TGH has played well so far and Tavares played well against Hull and the cup game.
  14. I know this may sound crazy, but perhaps the thinking was, sign Forshaw to cover the midfield position until Baraji was fit enough to take over. Madness I agree, but with the present incumbents you never know.
  15. But merely knowing something doesnt justify it. We knew Steve Kean was being appointed manager. We knew Owen Coyle was being appointed manager. We knew that Wharton was being bundled out of the door. Doesnt justify any of those. Im asking a simple question, do you think its sensible to sign a player (in a position where we have lost our captain) who we know in advance will be out for months?
  16. What more do you want me to say? We know Rovers wanted him, we knew if we sign he needed this operation that's why we took a loan deal with an option to buy to protect us. We KNEW the situation when we signed him. Not much more to say is there. You are more obsess with the blame game and trying to say you were right to be against this. I will judge the signing on his performances in a Rovers shirt
  17. Has to be called off. No chance we can play in this weather. Unless they’ve done something the night before to prevent the pitch getting waterlogged which I doubt. Ah oh well at least we don’t have to watch rovers aye
  18. Big fan of Ohashi. Need to created more for him. Gueye, plan B but not first choice. Someone I would probably move on in January or next summer if we bring in a suitable replacement.
  19. I’ve taken the brave decision to stay at home in Lancaster, with the fire on and watch it on telly. Can’t be arsed getting soaking wet for another calamitous call off.
  20. Storm-force winds here, game would awful to watch if it went ahead. What's it like in Ewood area? Assuming they play, can't see anything other than another defeat. Ismael v Robins. What reason for optimism is there? Rovers 0 Stoke 2
  21. It wasn't a bad game given the conditions SG.
  22. There is a flood alert for the upper Ribble and hodder as far as Samlesbury. Think the Darwen goes into the Ribble. As the Ribble fills up will affect the Darwen. We need an eyeball on the outflow pipe at Ewood
  23. If the weather in Blackburn is anything like the weather in Rochdale I can’t see the game going ahead. We had 2” of rain in my back garden yesterday. Plus it’s pouring down now.
  24. Pitch had very little time to dry out overnight either... Begs the question, why can't we afford covers? I'd wager a cover costs around £2 5-8k?
  25. Not sure a pre game postponement would save much embarrassment though either. They'll want it to go ahead, desperately, so they can say "see our pitch and dogshit drainage can cope with rain". I watched midweek via the club broadcast and the amount of times they mentioned how we'd been impacted by the postponement was ridiculous, like we'd been really hard done to. The usual attitude from within the rotten club that we're never at fault, ever.
