  1. Past hour
  2. I suspect all those who left would have wanted considerably more than the contracts we have given to the new signings.
  3. To me it’s obvious, better proven players in the league command far higher salaries than those coming into the division or even country (unless they’re coming from a top level!). As frustrating as i imagine we both find it, the prerogative is keeping the wage bill low. Β£1m and Β£10k a week over 3 years is cheaper than a Β£20k a week 3 year deal.
  4. i find it bewildering that they can pay a transfer fee and give miller a 3 year contract ,yet they can`t seem to find any money to keep brittain, travis.dolan or batth
  5. You've been keeping hold of this since Miller was linked, haven't you. Well played.
  6. @SIMON GARNERS 194think they're saying two incoming and Brittain leaving. Also said discussions are ongoing with Baradji and Yverdon
  7. I get the sarcasm in your post, but guess many won’t.
  8. the let going on about 3 players close to signing, miller, henrikson and who else,im`e not paying for their crappy articles but curious to know who the 3ed player is
  9. When you look at the despicable way the club has conducted itself in recent transfer windows (McGuire, O'Brien) together with the outrageous departures mid-season of JDT and Eustace, together with the complete and utter inertia on new contracts for key players, joining those few dots together tells me that this is not a club that any self-respecting individual would want to stay at. We are basically a vessel for younger/foreign players who need a route into English football / staff who can't get work elsewhere to come in and use us for a season or two before they move on to the bright lights of places like Derby and Middlesbrough. I expect that this club's reputation and name is in the gutter when it comes to doing deals with other clubs/players after the conduct we have witnessed in recent years. They don't care about that though.
  10. On the X BrfcPrivy account he’s showing TWO Swedish flags!!
  11. I'm remembering Keith Gillespie giving Van Bronkhorst 5 yards start.
  12. Anybody else feeling like the West Brom game might end up looking like the opening day against Norwich a few years ago under Coyle? When we played like 11 shirts got dished out on the Blackburn End car park!
  13. It's not the end of the world guys, Brittain was shit anyway. He's actually a greedy tosser, if we think about it. I'm sure Suhail did all he could to get him to stay, but we forget that we have to run the club as business and can't be blowing our wage structure and putting the club's future at risk. No player is bigger than the club and it's actually a good deal when looking at it from a business point of view. Β£3.5m in and Β£750k spent on a replacement. If we didn't have a replacement lined up, I'd be worried, but I have to give credit to Suhail for once. He's getting the hang of this, I feel. Maybe Rudy being here is what he needed to come out of his shell? The Hibs lad looks a good 'un any road. A unit and has the Neill/Emerton vibe about him. I suspect that this signing was an Adam Owen recommendation. He'll likely know all about Miller from his time at Hibs. If so, fair play Mr Owen. Let's see some more of this, please. An unrelated fun fact, though meaningless regards his playing ability and the signing, is that Miller came from playing in Australia and joined Hibs in 2022. A year earlier, a Mr Kean trod a similar path. Leaving work in Australia to join Hibs in 2022. It must be something in the water in Scotland. The world is so big, yet so small at the same time. A truly global game. I love all the different stories and seeing how people's careers pan out in the football world. Anyway, let's see if Suhail and Co can somehow get Rovers back to where we belong. It is exciting, as Rudy said. A part of me also wants Boro to go up with us. I miss the days of Ravanelli, Juninho and Emerson. Those were the days eh, Honeyman! How we would both love to be back there. We were also side by side as clubs in the 2000's for a time too. I quite like Boro and it's sad to see where we both are today. Let's bring those days back, Suhail. Come on. Time is ticking. Good luck to Callum, but we keep moving.
  14. The pubs around New Street station, then the tram from just outside the station.
  15. And all that due to losing a right-back ? I think it is more likely that the rest of the team not playing at the required level was more of a deciding factor.
  16. Watching him playing against Kargbo will be interesting. Kargbo will be faster running backwards.
  17. Probably, I'm as pessimistic as anyone but you never know... We're bringing in 2 big hard lunatics, we might just end up bullying our way into a half decent season if we can bring a couple of useful attacking players.
