  1. Past hour
  2. Don’t mind losing Hyam but we have lost allot of championship experience and English players, we must keep Trav
  3. I dont get how you read that and your immediate conclusion is to go back for Waggott.
  4. Waggot will be on gardening leave until his notice period ends which means he'll still be getting paid. I'd wager he walked into this job worth a few hundred grand and has walked away a millionaire so will he give a toss ? No chance, he'll say nothing and probably realise he's better off out of it once the dust settles.
  5. I guess SW’s notice period / Pay In Lieu of Notice will be up on the 21st August hence the delay in the new ‘CEO’ (in name only) announcement. Mind you according to the ‘real’ FF minutes the owners are doing the appointment so it could be 2026 or 2027 before the smoke appears from the bowels of Ewood Towers.
  6. Im not sure however we sign necessarily means that Ismael has specifically asked for that number. Even if he doesnt kick up a fuss, he isnt in control of finances. Even if the budget only stretches in terms of fees for another winger. And I get why we would prioritise permanent signings. We would be stupid not to then loan a couple on top. Extra pace and depth as you say and also extra quality.
  7. As regards investing in better players, or reinvesting money from player sales to try to improve the squad, the quote below from the minutes tells us what has been right in front of our eyes for most of their tenure. It isn’t going to happen. The owners apparently don’t believe that’s necessary. It’s what they said when they bought the club. I don’t for one minute the owners believe that, it’s just a narrative that suits them. GM asked whether, if the club generates funds by player sales, why the board or SS As the clubs trusted adviser can’t come to some arrangement with the owners of crystal clarity of a said % of those funds being immediately available to strengthen the squad, GM Asked had that question been asked? SS replied that, there was no such general agreement in place, or had the question been asked of the owners, though there had been reinvestment in the playing squad from player sales, such as when the club re-invested 40% of Sammie Szmodics’ transfer fee. GM Stated this was a small proportion given the club also sold Gallagher, Kaminski, Wharton amongst others in the same year, whilst they received payments for Raya and others, and this seems low investment in terms of money received. SS Stated that spending more money or increasing wages don’t guarantee a jump in league position
  8. Agreed - I think they’ve still got to have a couple of exciting forward loans in the pipeline to beef up squad depth. Pace would be great. Yes, I would tend to agree on both points but it does appear to be the plan. in terms of goals, I suppose we have to trust VI. He’s watching them play day in, day out and you don’t get the impression that he’s unhappy with the plan or hankering after another striker. I don’t see any reason why Ohashi and Gueye can’t get 25 between them. Meaning you’re looking for 40 from the other attacking players (looks short) and then a sprinkling from our midfield and defenders. But we look REALLY light on numbers for when injuries come along. Hopefully we will pad the squad out with a few loans at the end of the window.
  9. Honestly. Do people read this and still think that JE left because he was greedy and it was the club secretary's fault that transfers weren't approved. Do you not think the players know what's going on, and the likes of Britain, Batth, Travis etc.. are thinking "fuck this". I've stated numerous times I heard from someone close to the club that the players have finally had enough of "the people running the club" after Eustace left, and it's not hard to understand why. You can also think back to Mike Cheston having to front up in meetings such as this on his own as we had no CEO, whilst Suhail was skulking around in the background. You wonder if Waggot's NDA was two-ways, and therefore they are breaching it by throwing him under the bus here.
  10. On paper I don't mind losing trav and hyam for profit with suitable replacements. But on the eve of the season, come on guys...
  11. The Foxes are well and truly in the Chicken Coop and are dining for free. Until the lot of them running our Club into the ground are gone for good then this hopeless situation carries on Season after Season. There is nothing good to see here.
  12. Interesting people saying Myoshi has no sell on value at 28. I disagree. Birmingham have paid €9m for Kyogi who is 30. I’m sure he could still recoup a profit in 2 years if he performs here.
  13. Hey look iv'e increased ticket income in my first season in the job and if crowds are down over the season we'll need a few less staff so iv'e cut costs as well. That'll look good on his cv when he's begging Arsenal for a job. Have no fear though Yasir these things have a habit of biting you on the arse. It's crystal clear Suhail is as iv'e long suspected the main problem here i'm absolutely astounded he let Mowbray go as that kind of shield and plodding along is exactly what he is all about. There must've been a falling out or hes had a brainstorm that he could do it cheaper with a head coach model unless he was told from above things had to change. He is imo the chief architect of the shoulder shrugging attitude that has been obvious here for a decade. Cut prices 'what's the point we won't double the gates'. Invest year on year 'what's the point it doesn't guarantee anything' - Well it might effing well do if you backed the right man ! Promotion ? 'what's the point we'll only get relegated straight away, might as well sit in the league as long as we can for as cheap as we can'. It's no wonder half the fanbase says 'what's the point' !
  14. Are you new to venkys rovers?! I do actually think that is the plan, if they persist with Baradji then come the opening day of next season our midfield 3 will be Baradji, Taveres & Henriksson replacing Trav, Tronstad and Cantwell. Better there than being stuck at venkys rovers you could argue.
  15. Not enough goals or speed in that squad. You need more than that in the attacking areas quantity wise too especially if you plan to press high.
  16. Jackson Shorrocks (released in the summer) has signed a pro deal at Huddersfield (I think he went on trial there in the second half of last season)
  17. Absolutely shouldn't be wrote off, as said before look at the career path's of Wharton and Carter here before becoming championship ready. If O'Riordan has a good season there he could be ready to come back into our squad next season with losing Hyam. At 6'6 you would think Val would love for him to improve and get in the side! He's contracted until 2028 too.
  18. Today
  19. Correct. However SS and YS no longer have anyone to hide behind.
  20. That nade link is nonsense or well outdated
  21. I agree that's the plan - but for mine Leonard needs a season starting in L1 (or L2 until Christmas if we can't find him an acceptable L1 role - he NEEDS football). Sitting on the bench after so long out will do him no favours. Along with that CM, and assuming we keep Tyjon, we need a starting RW who's bloody good and then I'd be inclined to loan a third choice CF from a PL team to give us an option off the bench. Preferably one with pace - in fact that's the one attribute I'd target above all else with that loan. If you look at other mid-table and above teams, they all have attacking options on the bench to throw on. Currently we have the option of sticking Ohashi at 10 behind Gueye (depending on which one starts) and erm... Kargbo as an impact sub? If anyone loses form or gets injured we're really scratching around in attack.
  22. Agreed, it'll be an outdated link or his agent.
  23. We were linked with him before McLoughlin signed, as he was one of the left footed options looked a,but it would seem a strange decision to revisit that with Wharton & McLoughlin now both here, fit & available Especially at the reported price
  24. https://x.com/RoversXtra/status/1953703013333577950?t=2AMKh-RBUbF_ORFaJX_Jfg&s=19 I could see Hyam being sold to finance this transfer - assume it's bollocks though.
  25. Exactly that. The Gooner was almost crowing that they’ve pulled off higher revenue with lower sales.
  26. It seems my theory has been proven correct…football targets are irrelevant. No aspiration, no ambition, no hope. Death by inertia…
