  1. Past hour
  2. Season is looking like a pending disaster already after two games. Team fielded tonight should've been more than enough to brush off a newly-promoted L1 side. - Michalski and Montgomery needs to be loaned out. - We need to go for an experienced keeper in the transfer market once(if) we sell Pears - Find it hilarious that we might have sign a THIRD right back this transfer window. Montgomery is way below Championship standard and today Miller was tested at centre back position. They can't really be that clueless when recruiting players?! - What kind of standards are VI setting on the training pitch? Can he discern which players are a level above others or do he need to see them in actual matches? Intensity level? Do they work on different match scenarios on and off possession? Do they work on how to break down different kinds of defensive lines (low-block, mid-block etc.)? Transitions? Set pieces? Or is it all about physical output and endurance training? Why are we struggling to create chances against L1 opposition? - We have lost a lot of Championship experience with the departures of Batth, Brittain and Dolan. There are genuine concerns that some of the signings are simply not up to standard (De Neve, Henriksson) but perhaps a bit too early to judge. - Those academy minutes emphasized by Gestede is turning out to be quite a joke now. The only talented and remotely close to be part of first team squad is Tyjon but my guess is he will reject our contract offer and go to Arsenal. - We need to strengthen our attack considerably before window closes. - We need to solve the Mafoumbi situation quickly if we're looking to sign players who needs to be allocated an ESC slot.
  3. Montgomery is not good enough for first team football
  4. One thing I will say in his defence (albeit also been underwhelmed) is that generally his vision in part relies on the intelligence of others to do good runs and show some smart movement. Since there's a fair few players low in the football IQ stakes it's no wonder we don't use him to his potential.
  5. It might be a cookie thing…try an incognito window
  6. Ismael playing the 'club have done everything they possibly can but rival club is putting an offer on the table we just cannot compete with' line I'm struggling to work out at this early stage whether he genuinely believes this or is just happy to play the game his bosses are instructing him to. It is nonsense - of course - we are talking Derby County here not a PL club or even a Leicester/Southampton. I think he probably knows this but is still learning what mugs his bosses take people for.
  7. He was our best player when he came on. What he certainly doesnt warrant is so many comments calling him out of all players on that pitch tonight.
  8. Yes to 30kpw like I suggested the other night... Travis is probably on around 15 to 20kpw at Rovers. We don't pay anyone more than 20kpw and never will do with Pasha and Ruddy in charge. We should have had Adam Wharton as captain for a season getting us into the Prem and selling for 50m to reinvest for a whole new squad... instead we have yellow stickers 50p buys from relegated sides around Europe.
  9. The club is run by bean-counters whose only remit is to cut costs. Certainly the costs will be much less in L1 ... and below.Job done.
  10. He just looks totally detached from it all his heart has never been in this job he's just the puppet those upstairs have been looking for to toe the line whilst they create the chaos.
  11. Why,? Came with a massive reputation but done the square root of jack shit since he's been here. Tonight included.
  12. He's got a 3 year contract so he can cry all the way to the bank.
  13. I’m just tired of it all and we’re 10 days in just get rid of Travis tronstad and hyam now so we don’t have to keep talking about it actually draining
  14. The bizarre lack of bringing in good strikers continues even though goalscorers have previously brought in a ton of cash, and could have brought in more if Pasha did his job effectively. A bad start to the season but fully expected. I don't blame Ismael. Gestede, Pasha and the owners (especially) are the problem.
  15. Pasha will be hoping he shows up against Birmingham. Plenty of time left in the window for another sale.
  16. A pint of bitter in the Brown Cow-£2.80, a pint of bitter on Ewood £5.50.
  17. So the anonymous director was there tonight, Venkys finance man surely no coincidence. No doubt instructing Gestede he must seek offers for anyone he can get a fee for.
  18. If we were a normal run club, then I’d have absolutely no qualms selling Travis at all, knowing that a normal club would reinvest that money properly. He is the epitome of the Rovers rubber dinghy boys, goes hiding in any crucial match, praised for being a ‘shithouse’ but lacking in the basics (see the goal on Saturday). People will say we can’t sell as he’s an academy lad (so was Jason Lowe) He’s a solid Championship midfielder, but he’s not dragging you over the line to promotion (he barely played at Ipswich). That said, the money just goes into the black hole so what on earth would be the point of selling him at all. We’ve already shown that Rudy, Suhail and co aren’t up to the task of replacing players properly. Given we’re looking like relegation fodder right now, I’d much rather keep hold of him!
  19. Hyam is probably off as well if he won’t sign his ‘deal’
  20. Heard after the game Sreenivasa Rao personally offered Travis 1 million rupees to stay tonight. Venky's don't think this one is over and are prepared to double it.
  21. There seem to be at least some differences between what Tronstad and Ismael recon the truth to be. I would also not be overly shocked if Trav did not feel that Rovers have done everything they can to keep him (even in the last couple of weeks).
