  1. Past hour
  2. Was gutted for weeks when Tony Field left. Exciting lil player. Not sure how he did after he left us.
  3. I have to accept your first answer.
  4. McTominay was wrongly profiled as a defensive midfielder. Since moving to Napoli, and for Scotland, he has thrived as an attacking midfielder. Suppose with Bruno there he was unlikely to get a game at United.
  5. Not really. He may join, he may not, that account doesnt know either way. See post above from me about the guess of supposed free agent Vincent Janssen.
  6. Same account had us interesred in Vincent Janssen earlier. As a free agent despite him having a club. Seems like a new account desperate to be seen as an ITK. He may well sign, but this account doesnt know either way.
  7. I hope so, 5 in 32 not gonna fire us up the league is it.
  8. Beating Grimsby...it's not for everybody ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. Pasha does not have a clue about football, that is quite apparent. i believe after all the talk about Wharton leaving for relative peanuts in this day and age, he thinks heโ€™s doing the fans a favour and asking for more cash. he wonโ€™t know that Wharton is destined for big things and to be fair Leonard is probably heading towards his level. let him go and build a decent career and get a new striker in the door.
  10. Today
  11. Is Andri Gudjohnsen on his way to Rovers now? ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ
  12. Paul Weller - Above the Clouds From his eponymous first solo album 33 years ago. The lyrics would stand alone as a beautiful poem about self doubt. Still in Wellerโ€™s live set to this day. Class.
  13. Weโ€™re such a clown show. Feel bad for Leonard. Gets his chance at first team football. A relaunch of his career. Likely bitter sweet with the years heโ€™s spent at the club, says his heartfelt goodbyesโ€ฆthen some c^nt who know fuck all about football walks in and says weโ€™re not selling you. Back to the bench and the 21s until we get another ยฃ300,000? A rounding error in modern football terms. In the end I hope we loan him out so he gets to play everyday. The kid deserves a shot to kick start his career.
  14. And played with a bit of pride. What he lacked in natural ability he made up for in work rate. Man Utd fans had a snobby attitude to McTominay but he's what they need and is the complete opposite of what they've filled their squad with. Maybe his reputation suffered from being paired with Fred for so long. Wasn't an inspiring partnership.
  15. That Aynsley Pears dad was a good keeper perhaps we should........
  16. Feel for you guys. Russell Martin's brand of football is awful and he's an arrogant pillock to boot.
  17. I remember saying that on here one Saturday morning and it turned into a several hour long row and i think resulted in a ban. I'm in no way a clairvoyant or expert judge but to me it was bleeding obvious how he was operating. Trouble is some thought the nice guy image. the promotion and his principles he always banged on about meant he was above constructive scrutiny and questioning. There were plenty examples but one that sticks out like a boil on the end of a nose was how he let Smallwood sit out his contract sat on his arse in the office at times and refusing to go on loan or play for U23s all because he knew he already had a fresh gig lined up. Then between them him, Venus and Waggot even gave him an extension into the covid period even though he'd previously been told he'd not be picked again. Shocking stuff really and although i do have a lot of respect for him the saint Tony stuff never washed with me. As Rev said, a crafty old goat.
  18. In fairness to Tony Field, although we signed him 'only' from Southport (think the fee was another ยฃ20k?), if my memory is correct, he was still in his early 20's, had clocked up 100+ appearances and was a 1 goal in 3 games forward. Wouldn't we snap a club's hand off for something similar now!?
  19. You canโ€™t really redefine โ€œx player is not up to itโ€ when theyโ€™ve played less than an hour in the league.
  20. The Brown cow on Livesey Branch Road. Use J3 on the M65.
  21. Madness to sell McTominay. He should've been their Darren Fletcher. Steady, high-performing, loyal player that the team or squad is built around. A puzzling thing about Utd is they don't seem to have successful youth development. Arsenal have brought on Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly and now Max Dowman, in past few seasons, but can't think of Man U players, albeit, I don't follow them much at all. Their transfer policy is, needless to say, poor. The most obvious signing in the world, in my opinion, was Kvaratskhelia, before PSG got him. A player like that, with, admittedly, a functioning team, is clearly of an elite level and with his attacking, exciting style, lifts a club.
