  1. Past hour
  2. Sorry to hear that news. Condolences to you and your family
  3. It’s been a very tough 3 weeks for me and my family, having lost a close family member, taken way too soon. I haven’t been able to bring myself to post on here or watch the games, until last night, but this brought a smile to my face for the first time since. Thanks Rovers and RIP Luke. Xx
  4. Away series were never part of the ‘crown jewels’ protected free to air event list, however home series were (until 2005), then the ECB lobbied the government to remove themselves from it so they could make more from subscription TV… and the profile of cricket in this country has only declined since.
  5. I've just seen the 'tackle' on Baradji by Whiteman and how he wasn't sent off is astonishing. It fulfils every criteria for a red card and really should have been picked up in real time. Baradji is a lucky boy. There was an earlier challenge on Tronstad which I thought was a caution but the referee didn't even give a free kick. I'm all for allowing some physicality but even in a lenient mood the referee has a duty to punish bad tackles accordingly. Yuki was on the end of some robust challenges but ironically he was penalised twice for similar challenges that Nobbers defenders were getting away with.
  6. Cant agree I'm afraid. He sets such a low bar with his all round play, that when he does something you'd pretty much expect from a Championship player, it looks better than it is Think he'll be gone in Jan
  7. Today
  8. Watching the highlights Pears pulled off some very good saves in the first half that kept us in the game, though Preston should have scored. Gyuere (sp?) tried to put too much on his header when all he needed to do was glance it. All in all we have to be pleased with that result and we must have one of the best away records in the league. If only we could fix the home form and send the Ewood fans home happy for once
  9. We're never going to have a better reserve keeper than Pears and I thought he did OK. I wouldn't want him as first choice but thank God he wasn't sold by the gamblers who run us (as was their intention.) He isn't Toth but Toth isn't available.
  10. Intentionally went for Baradji. Well into his slide and he adjusted, actually raising his leg to make contact with Baradji. Red Card for me.
  11. Baradji looked on that evidence that he might be the man to come and pick the ball up and start an attack, which we really need especially without Cantwell (although VI alluded to him not being far off). I don't wish to be negative after the result and second half performance but we were pretty clueless first 30 just tapping it round sideways and backwards, the outlet was Alebiosu or nothing really. It fills you with no confidence doing that and there was a number of times we could have come unstuck. It's partly the reason the home form isn't great also.
  12. 2nd year scholar (so 17 or 18 years old), was out on loan last week (technically still is until December) in the 7th tier to cover for someone's first choice who was suspended. I suppose the loan is longer than that for either the sake of some rule I am unaware of, or just in case he impresses, which is what happened with Honors loan last season which was extended a few times until it became a full seasons loan The silly amount of keepers is at U21 level & is owing to unnecessary contract extensions to the likes of Kahn and Barrett when we already have Michalski, Goddard & Honor, rather than the amount that we are bringing through. They bring through 1 or 2 with each scholarship group as each age group will have their own set of goalkeepers, which in itself isn't a problem as long as when it comes to offering pro deals, they are a bit more selective Wolsoncroft and Thompson are 2nd year scholars (and so still qualify for U18s), and therefore out of contract at the end of this season unless/until they are offered pro deals Holt is a first year scholar imagine Krajewski and/or Garside are the ones they will look bring through as scholars next year to ensure they have 2 or 3 who qualify for U18s in 26/27 season Edit - Incidentally Kahn is now a full international, made his debut last week, lost 5-0..... at home to Syria
  13. I thought he did good there. Played better than of late the rest of the game too. A few interactions with BigMac and Barsdji looked like they might work well together.
  14. Both BigMac and Ohashi are on the do not call list.
  15. Looked quite catchable to me. From the looks of his teamates they thought so also. Alls well that ends well but heart in mouth time. Well for me that is anytime the ball is going toward Aynsley.
  16. Pahahahah 🤫shhhhh 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a cockwomble 😆😆
  17. I work with alot of PNE fans, nice little treat for me on Monday morning collecting my tenner and giving them a load of shit. We dont need bragging rights their a nobody team to us 🤣🤣 crying into their baked potatoes lol
  18. Well yea they got humbled. Had they of won they would of been rubbing it in no end. Give em some stick
  19. Anyone got a clearer view on how much we get after his England start?
  20. I see that the twitter account for the PNE forum is now blocking Rovers fans (me included) after giving it large on twitter pre-game. Don’t dish it out, if you can’t handle it!
  21. Its been very good on the shift so far. Very quiet and peaceful. They admitted we were the best team and deserved winner
  22. Michalski played one game and looked nowhere near ready at his age. Pears is certainlg not good enough to start at this level but as backup hes probably passable.
  23. Honestly genuinely happy that he's shown to have improved of late. Every game he seems to do something now that shocks. That run down the left tonight, I think splitting the defenders and getting a cross away right across goal was superb. Fair play to him
  24. Great result and unexpected once the team was announced. In the first half hour we were poor, and once we conceded so sloppily seconds after scoring I feared the worse but we rallied at the start of the second half and saw the game out pretty comfortably. Tronstad was our best player and back to his best. Pratt deserves immense credit for slotting in so comfortably considering the level hes been playing at. Hedges is certainly suited to a wing back role, Morishita and Ohashi are both pests and Gudjohnsen lacks in general play but is developing a great habit of pitching in with important goals. Our side feels like its patched together and the subs bench highlights how thin on the ground we are going into such a busy period so whether we can maintain this is another question but a very enjoyable night to push us away further from the bottom 3.
