  1. Past hour
  2. I dont see how he would offer anything to any Championship club.
  3. Yeah "no pressure on results" was the phrase wasn't it?
  4. I'd bet my last dollar that when the next yearly financial statements roll around we'll still have wages around ~Β£25m, a wage to turnover ratio of ~130% and a magical yearly loss of "Β£20m". Could have our under 5s as our starting 11 and the above wouldn't budge.
  5. I would take a look at the senior leadership and wonder why costs were increasing but our goals were not being achieved. With that said, this assumes the goal is to get promoted. Waggott already said during JDT's time that the aim is to develop players and plod along in the division.
  6. What worries me about this managed decimation of our team is that we are going to be losing a hell of a lot of experience, for all of the shortcomings of the various players involved. Struggling to see anything but relegation as it stands.
  7. Would you increase your wage budget if employees were not achieving goals and the costs were increasing? Combined with lack of funds to "plug a hole" this ownership is becoming extremely difficult and will end in misery.
  8. They didn't rip us apart, they were no great shakes either, but notwithstanding that, we couldn't even lay a glove on them.
  9. Whilst I do not disagree with most of your post, I think you probably need to reconsider what Derby are offering in wages these days. Fans of all clubs like to their that their club runs a tight ship when it coms to wages and couldn't possibly be that silly. The wage bills in the clubs accounts show a different story Morris was a premier league player recently, he will not be on less than Β£20K/week. The American who you brought in for big money will also be on more than you suspect None of which means that Rovers are not lowballing their own players & behaving in a disgraceful way towards their own players staff & fans though, all facts of which we are all (well most of us) painfully aware
  10. Hedges might be a decent pickup as a squad player for a team at the lower end of the division. Probably wouldn't be able to afford him until his contract expires next year though, as one imagines whatever he's getting at Rovers are unlikely to be matched by the type of club he's likely to attract.
  11. A bunch of cheapos from relegated clubs in minor foreign leagues. I'm sure that'll work out just fine.
  12. Hang on, you do know on one day a year you get 10% off in the shop… actual kit and training gear excluded, of course! Roll up, roll up with your 35 quid!
  13. Pat Benatar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot
  14. Thanks for the response. You seem more clued up on us than a large section of our fan base. Could you also please contact Mr E. Jackson at our local excuse for a newspaper/media outlet (the Lancashire Telegraph and educate him on that?)
  15. With you on that but you know that right? You n I have it sussed Waggy.
  16. The problem is, again, they aren't willing to pay the fees required for players that are an improvement.
  17. If we’re only matching players salaries then I’m not surprised their heads are turning when clubs like Boro and Derby are offering more. Fair play to them and rightfully should be telling Venkys to fuck off.
  18. Sounds like we can build a team around everyone at the club then. Why were we panicking? it's all under control.
  19. As I've said a few times already Rudy wants an entirely fresh start, new team, new management, new behind the scenes loyal folk - everything everywhere. Won't work. It will finish the club off. Lunatics in charge of the asylum. Buckle up.
  20. Don’t think Hyam would be hard to replace, never stood out to me as anything but an ok cb, need a real leader a captain at the back
  21. Thank you for the insight. It's no surprise that Trav is being portrayed as the villain, it's been in the playbook for anyone who wouldn't agree a new contract and has subsequently left. We'd like to think people are catching wise to it, but sadly, there's more sand in the Blackburn area than I'd originally accounted for...
  22. Well done for trying. I certainly couldn't have sat in the same room as Waggott after he tried to flog Brockhall off and I doubt it's got any better since he left. Without it being meant as a criticism of individual members, other than the last meeting I feel the Forum has become counter productive in recent years. For the Club it's just been a vehicle to make themselves look better by creating the illusion that they communicate with the fans and actually listen to, or are bothered about, anything they say. When in reality most of the time the responses given by the Club over the last few years have been an affront to any rational person's intelligence.
  23. It's a stock image of River Plates ground. The glossing over the small details at this club is so embarrassing.
  24. So who exactly are we building a team around?
  25. Since we're playing Hull away on the 23rd of August, he could probably get a lift there with the team bus, unless Waggot did not receive it as his parting gift.
