  3. Yes you've highlighted the point well there, 300 hundred to several thousands so in other words a normal step to a pro contract at this level. Then after 100 plus Championship appearances against, alongside and often out performing lads on 10-20 thousand a week he wants a contract reflecting that and he 'allegedly' turned down one that obviously didn't. So yes good luck to him, non of that detracts from the fact it's a carbon copy of the Nyambe farce except this time it's a better player.
  4. If Greg Broughton were here I think we would have tied them down personally.
  5. They're all mercenaries. Look at Joao Pedro yesterday pointing to his Chelsea badge ๐Ÿ˜‚. Brittain was about to sign, got a bigger offer now is forcing a move... The lack of perspective from football fans on this subject is quite shocking.
  6. Christ, if I wasn't asleep already, Coldplay would have done the job anyway.
  7. So what he was on the scrapheap and unlikely to be touched by any half decent Championship outfit anytime soon. You don't know the real situation until you've been in the building a while i would have thought that was rather obvious, if in doubt write to Mr J Eustace esquire, Derby.
  8. After the pre match shenanigans I was looking for a reason to turn it off. 'Double pivot' and a chant of 'let's go Chelsea, let's go' was enough of a reason to do just that.
  9. Just for one summer why can't we be normal. Operate like a normal club, offer players with deals coming to an end a new contract, if they don't want it tell them to tell their agent we are after X amount for them to move on. If the owners are not willing to spend, working like a normal trading club is more important than ever. Yet for the second season running we have a player refusing to take part in pre season who 100% will leave the club.
  10. We were just to the left of the centre circle. So Carter was right in front of me more or less. We were supposed to be on row C but I moved to row D, I didnโ€™t want to be burnt alive. On another tropic - what were the mounted police all about ! Were they expecting trouble or did PC Plod fancy a bit of easy overtime in the sun ?
  11. That's an easy one to answer Tyrone. It was brought in so broadcasters could have extra time for advertising and cascaded down so it has now become the norm.
  12. You missed a really good game.
  13. He was on ยฃ300 a week when we rescued him from the PNE scrapheap. He's been on several thousand pounds a week for the majority of his time here - and we know he turned down another pay rise when Broughton was here. He's hardly been hard done to. He thinks the grass is greener - good luck to him.
  14. Why is it 15 minutes in our football ? It used to be 10 minutes. Playing amateur football if the weather was bad weโ€™d turn around and kick off again right away. Back then for a Saturday game Iโ€™d be leaving Ewood at 4-40 regularly. Now itโ€™s 4-55 or 5-00.
  15. Its amazing how many greedy, selfish and disloyal players we've had in recent years!
  16. Impressed enough to take the job and salary on offer none of this information is new to the world
  17. Thatโ€™s what Kargbo needs to learn. Always try and stop your opponent, then youโ€™ve got him where you want him.
  18. Ismael is already scratching his head and thinking how can you let players like Dolan, previously on ยฃ300 a week not that long ago, end up walking for nothing. It's obvious he isn't impressed.
  19. Lost Batth who was the difference maker between all our centre halfโ€™s and so far not replaced. Brittain is going, Dolan has gone. Thatโ€™s our right side of play completely gone, The side where most of our attacking threat has come from. Players need time to integrate and there is inexperienced holes all over the pitch. How can you not see whatโ€™s unfolding here.
  20. The Lenihen and Nyambe situations happened years ago and this time it's Dolan and Brittain , so far, which is a complete carbon copy of the previous two and the rhetoric being put out is just the same. When they've finally gone elsewhere it'll be 'offered to make them highest paid players' etc and it's complete bullshit. Yes some players and agents might take advantage but the situation for them to do so is created by the club. Nothing has been learned because they don't want to learn, the idiot in high office has his policy and that's that. I wonder where this club could be now if we hadn't had a decade of that useless self serving stooge ?
  21. Your use of the word 'assets' is in the right context for the supporters and I suspect Ismael too. But to the Punekars and Dumb and Dumber it means something completely different - something to sell and help to allow the owners to keep more of their money in India. To them a right back is a right back irrespective of how it weakens the team and affects morale.

  23. No tickets sadly, my post sounds like I had, apologies. Radio for me today as Iโ€™m travelling, but should be a cracker.
  24. Agents will always make enquiries, ultimately their job is to get the best deal for their client, which in most cases means the highest salary. Once they found out Team X and Y would offer ยฃ20k or whatever, we'll have not been in the running if we weren't able to get anywhere near the same figure.
  25. It's almost as though you've seen this all before.
  26. As if. There are some time thieving ways of wasting one's time on earth, and Instagram is one such abomination. I'd rather drill my eyes out with a blunt speculum.
