Surely there's just enough time to get a fucking deal agreed for someone decent FFS... There's no way you can dress up selling your main CB at the last minute purely for money as anything other than a cost cutting measure. Yeah, sell players who have a year left but not an hour before the fucking deadline. Set of twats.

It's the fact he's leaving now. Even if you take the view of "it's a good fee" and we invested a big chunk of that money in a replacement we won't get them in untill January (which is always overpriced or limited ) And as we saw last time we went down, by then it could be too late.

Never liked Hyam after his ‘calm down’ gesture in injury time in a game we needed to win, rubber dinghy man - but that aside you can’t make an argument for it being logical at this point in the window. Feels like a long season incoming.
