  1. Past hour
  2. It’s also an indication of how bad our transfer policy is when a team with a transfer embargo can do considerably better business than us. Hull are 4th and 3 points off the automatic places and weren’t allowed to pay a fee for anyone, they also had the wages capped but still did better than us in the window.
  3. The injury list is a smokescreen, like the refereeing rant. We have a squad of substandard players, all played to exhaustion. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy
  4. Absolutely on point Ian. We are in a desperate situation, with no end in sight. At least we won't have to face the clampets not season.
  5. Well, there was certainly no uptick in results since it was announced (which I imagine the regime would have been counting on). Suppose they could drop the dead cat of sacking VI (I know, I know!)
  6. The only thing left is a total boycott of home games ! Do not buy any season tickets in June !
  7. Do you have a link? I always thought of him, as a decent guy, but perhaps not.
  8. Echoed be me and many others and it is so very sad.
  9. 13 injuries should not prevent a manager using his technical area to give enthusiasm &:support to his team. He's a disgrace and should be no where near football. Don't care what it takes those board members (do we have any??) need to put pressure on whoever to get rid of this incompetent person.
  10. Its a spectrum, and having Hyam in the squad would move us towards the positive end of it. When you step back and think we let all of Hyam, Dolan, Baath, Travis, Brittain, Wieman go in one fell swoop and got two players with Championship experience (and then not as first XI players) in TGH and McLoughlin that is pretty radical.
  11. As previously mentioned funds are none existent, and no one wants to take responsibility for raising them (i e beng that person to hold the fund)
  12. Weirdly, we’ve not been in this position of jeopardy since Coyle was sacked. Two years ago they’d already appointed Eustace/it was clear JDT was leaving by the time we got fully mired. So, will our apparently fully engaged owners (who watch every game) grasp the nettle here and go over the heads of the cosy pair…
  13. If you all think Dom Hyam would have solved our leadership problems you’re deluding yourselves.
  14. Someone should ask him at his next press conference, ' do you still think this squad is better than last years ?' He is the manager he has to be brought to account !
  15. I've lost track of when injured players are meant to be back, but if Ismael sends the team out in that same system on Saturday then Watford will win at a canter.
  16. We'll probably smash Watford 5-0 and he'll get awarded a 3 year contract. 🤣
  17. Another 3 points go begging. Mowbray JDT and Eustace would have stolen a win last night- Swansea were there for the beating. Goals 1 and 3 needed a proper left back on the field and we had two on the bench. All 3 goals would have been prevented by a decent centre half providing leadership and he plays for Wrexham now but George Pratt would have done better but he too was sitting on the bench. Powel did well, Jorgenson is lightweight currently but got himself where it mattered for our equaliser. Despite the Pasha Gestede demolition job, I think we have the squad to stay up but seriously doubt VI's managerial ability to use them to save us from relegation and pray the treatment room are doing their stuff properly.
  18. For me last 5 games or so there has been a really noticeable dip in intensity and confidence. I would say a combination of : - The key players for the system to work are unavailable (Alebiousu, Hedges, Gudjonsen. To some extent Mori as well) - Exhaustion from so many games, and so many young players coming in, and lack of battle hardened experience in the squad of coping with 14 games in 9 weeks or whatever madness it is. - Crucially, the senior players (which given all the injuries and disastrous transfer policy etc is basically just Tronstad and Ohashi) have lost belief in the manager. We've weakened and weakened ourselves, but managed to look reasonably competitive in midfield and defence up till October-ish. But now - very very very predictably - just got to the point where the whole squad is broken, moral sapping away, and we just don't have any experience to help dig us out.
  19. I think Rovers are as good as down even if they do sack Ismael because a large amount of damage is already done...but at least a change might mean they go down with a fight rather than a whimper.
  20. Too late now but was any thought given to handing out leaflets outside the ground (after previous matches). I imagine it was but was deemed at risk of causing too much agro.
  21. I'm extremely disappointed by Alan Myers personally. Whys he released a statement at that time, the timing is extremely off with me. What's his angle? I don't understand.
  22. I remember speaking to a few fans at the ground about it when it happened, but in a funny way that run of 3 wins on the bounce (Soton/Leics/Bristol) has done us in, in that it gave Ismael a breather or a reset with some fickle parts of the fan base, like when Kean won at Old Trafford and drew at Anfield. The idea that things aren't too bad and that we'll turn a corner. Yes without those three wins we'd be currently adrift under VI, but he might have been potted sooner.
