  1. Past hour
  2. It's simple, IT'S CALLED AMBITION and emanates from the ownership. I think it's clear, Wrexham as a club are everything Rovers are currently not. Feckin Wrexham!!! Stop bellyaching and start accepting reality. Jack will be spinning in his grave.
  3. Itโ€™s a nice shirt. And in any other year would have zero complaints minus the inability to remember our halves should be reversed on the back. However, I canโ€™t be alone in thinking they had built this up to be a special shirt to celebrate 150 years. I was expecting this to be very different, just like the beautiful Port Vale strip this year. Yes, they will clearly release a special anniversary shirt at some point and the team will use it for one game but it should have been our shirt for the entire season. 150 years is a hell of a milestone to reach. Overall decent shirt, disappointed the only thing special about it is in the collar at the back of the neck. A real missed opportunity.
  4. So no, you dont see a pattern, its just an unfortunate series of individual circumstances. And no, there isnt any blame on the club. And no, there isnt any blame on not getting PROPER contract offers in earlier. And even though none of these players seem willing to sign new deals. It isnt to do with us not providing satisfactory financial offers, they wouldnt have signed anyway.
  5. You need to take each player situation into this. BBD didn't want to sign a new contract but JDT and GB didn't want to sell him. Similar with Dolan who Eustace and Rovers were happy to keep last season and GB tried for 18 months to get him to sign new contracts and he didn't. Nyambe, I wouldn't be offering him a contract and as we seen Brittain he is twice the player he was. Lenihan was offered good contract by us but choose to seek a move elsewhere.
  6. None of which has any bearing on the amount they would be willing to pay Travis.
  7. Wrexham owners are much more involved and across all areas of the club whether its the men team or the woman team, The Wrexham documentaries are a good insight but also what their owners are involved within the community of Wrexham and the fan base of the club. That what we lack as our owners, the understanding of the local area, community, fan base and the club is the biggest asset in Blackburn and it should be driven the local area and being massively involved. Driving local projects or engaging with local people on the contracts, we need to sign up the big 3 players and get them new long term contracts. I would be offering Brittain a new 4 year contract, Tronstad 3 years contracts and Travis a 3 year contracts on around 18k to 22k each players which would pick them on being the nigher earners on the club I reckon with Todd Cantwell.
  8. Good for them. But, given the money we've received for players we've sold, we've got the money to match or go beyond these numbers. It's the fault of our owners that we don't. Wrexham are what it looks like when you try. Rovers are what it looks like when you don't.
  9. Gary Neville made a comment during the Salford's documentary series the class of 92 where he said that Wrexham's budget for league 2 was over ยฃ6m where Salford was less than half of that budget How much do Wrexham players earn? 10. I think you are currently so fixated on defending literally everything our terribly run club does at the moment that youve lost all balance, I havent even given my opinion on the shirt so how could I be criticising it? The idea that I have criticised the kit and any events for season ticket holders is purely in your head.
  11. And if he'd reduced season tickets to ยฃ150 adults as a one off celebration to the clubs historic birthday he'd have averted a lot of flak even with the mess on the contact situations, comings and goings. We'd be guaranteed 15k+ every home attendance leading to a 17/18k average at least over the season, better atmosphere and bigger takings in all other aspects of the club. A shortfall in ticket income if there actually was any is surely offset by all the transfer income and increase in other revenue. No better time to do it for a number of reasons but instead he chose to cry about losing a few grand due to Steve's ยฃ20 quid discount and the leccy bill going up. Absolute corner shop mentality.
  12. I don't know the details of the contract between Macron and Rovers but I'd take a guess and say a special one-off isn't included in it. If it isn't included then they should use some other supplier and create something which is befitting of the clubs heritage. However I don't expect anything from them as it might involve some work.
  13. You are so very quick to comment aren't RF99 EVERY TIME! You don't buy shirts or kits anyway so you probably aren't that interesting or bothered about it or STH have first access and exclusively to the new home kit but some of us are and we are proud to wear our colours where ever we go. Maybe have a day off for criticise the club for once when it is giving us STH a benefit of being one and holding events like tonight plus getting the home kit out so early on. ROVERS ๐Ÿ”ตโšช
  14. Today
  15. Not surprised at a leak, 90% of shirts are leaked so meh to that. In terms of the shirt, in it's own right it's a nice enough shirt, a 60's vibe to it with the reversed V neck, however as many have said as an 'anniversary shirt' it's underwhelming.
  16. Tonight event of the unveiling of the new home shirt and kit would have been good PR allowing STH the chance to see the kit first and exclusively plus enabling us to buy the kit tonight before tomorrow. Good PR. Good promotional video and the fact the home kit is on sale in mid June is another good PR for the club.
  17. Meh. It's a Rovers kit. I've seen better and seen worse. As the official formation date of Blackburn Rovers is 5th November, the club could redeem itself here by requesting to play in the home game closest to that date in a different shirt which has a proper retro feel. Then putting it on sale in the run up to Christmas as a limited edition (i.e no re-stock) But that would cost additional money on the shirt and be a risk on the stock, so unlikely. Although Yasir is probably scribbling notes as he reads this.
  18. But just remember "the football and commercial side are covered and performing to high standards."
  19. I think it should come with lights like a Xmas jumper that would be cool
  20. TBH there is also plenty to be bitter about. We've had 15 years of misery, we deserve a fresh start.
  21. Let's not be confused though---getting rid of Pasha would surely not mean Venkys would replace him with someone competent and worthy. Nothing would change. Ultimately we want a sale.
  22. Totally different situation. Waggott was due to go soon and had very little recent contact with the owners and very little influence over the past 12 months or so. I think Venky's lost faith in him a while ago. Pasha is the one who feeds all the false positives back to India. They rely on him totally. He is the one who is driving the cost cutting, aiming to sell any asset worth a few bob and telling the owners all will be well. They will not sack Pasha but he hates any public exposure. If we can keep up the pressure on him personally to a point where he decides he has had enough and he resigns, it could mean Venky's would have to become more directly involved and possibly make them realise what a shit show it really is. They may not care too much, but getting rid of Pasha would cause far more problems for them than getting rid of Waggott.
  23. They got last year's kit right. It's not difficult. It's deliberate at this point.
  24. I thought he took one up too. Maybe he doesn't count towards esc because of age, or that he was not registered as a first team player? (although I thought neither of those factors mattered) Or maybe they are counting on moving him on in the summer (if it wasn't just a case of out of sight, out of mind?)
