  1. Yesterday
  2. Hes an 18 year old who in his first senior game made an error as bad as youll see leading to a goal 4 minutes in, 2 minutes after letting a shot go under him. He also got fortunate again spilling a simple shot back into danger. Pears is poor but you have lost all sense of balance with him. He is still an actual senior goalkeeper who is a far safer bet than Michalski. He is very much a bad number 2 keeper, as he is today, at this level.
  3. Lots of comission going around though...
  4. The two most recent I was referring to. It seems a running theme with venky fc to have a shit goalkeeper.
  5. Article gets his age wrong but interesting take. https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-very-happy-with-signing-from-blackburn-rovers-plan-to-flip-him-for-profit/
  6. That would be my take on it. They've tried to pin racism on our fans before ie we hate Venkys because they are Indian. We don't, we hate them for what they truly are.
  7. I think it was reported we were paying £10k p.w. at the time but your point is still perfectly valid, it was ridiculous.
  8. don`t forget wahlstadt,so terrible he made walton look quite good
  9. Which two are those? Because Walton, Steele and Pears all fit that description.
  10. It would explain why they suddenly lost interest in the club once the investigation started...
  11. Ian Poveda the lad they sign on loan from Leeds for 12 months for 20 grand a week then fail to insert any clause relating to what happens if he gets injured. He does, so he has to go back to Leeds for treatment as per contract but Rovers still have to pay 20k a week for a year ! Incompetence doesn't even begin to cover it and that was under Venus and Mowbrays watch. No wonder we never went anywhere under them i dread to think what money was spaffed on loans and wages for next to nothing in return.
  12. In fairness, his regular howlers and general incompetence at goalkeeping probably played a part. Just his error in the Sheffield Weds home game alone; you wouldn't expect a non-league GK to do that. I like to believe that VI came in, assessed what he saw and quickly came to the realisation that he had to get the waste of space out of the building as quickly as possible. An England Youth GK is not a bad number 2, on balance.
  13. Predictions: - Hull scores first, & last; - wins will be few & far between this season; - Rovers lose at least 2 more players who transfer out; - the players who replace them, aren’t as good; - this is all before we get our typical 7 or 8 debilitating injuries to 1st teamers.
  14. They've to provide a detailed list of where the money is going when it's sent over. Perhaps this could be the real issue they have with the restrictions placed upon them?
  15. Thanks. Appalling behaviour. Where is the podcast?
  16. It's running costs only but in any case when have they sent money for transfers ? They don't, whenever there's been modest spending it always comes when outgoing sales money is dropping in the account.
  17. Cheers Does make me wonder what their angle is. Removing the guarantee would certainly make it harder to claim the court case prevents correct funding of the club, which they seem to have been doing so far (unless they have next to no liquidity the guarantee ought not to present an issue to billionaires). I guess it could just be spite/pride, and unwillingness to pay into a guarantee if they are already in dispute with the bank Do we know does the Indian Gov is block transfer of funds for investment in playing staff (i.e. transfer fees), and only allow "day-to-day" costs to be serviced as part of the 'NOCs'? Given the investigation is into the mis-use of investment funds could this be part of the issue? A fear that "transfer money" would be used in other ways or siphoned to agents?
  18. the last meeting of the fan group coalition and the rovers hierarchy ended in acrimony and the club attempted to disguise the minutes of the meeting and put out a censored version of it,couple of the fans group coalition wer`nt having any of it(fair play to them) and in a podcast it was explained what really went on,the podcast is actually on the this forum.makes an interesting listen,it illustrates what the fans are up against, the club behind the scenes is a toxic mix of poison.apathy and incompetence
  19. The Stone Roses - I Am The Resurrection
  20. Missed this. What was the minutes fiasco?
  21. Poveda's best season was at Blackpool, but even then he only managed 26 appearances, which was his highest tally to date. There's definitely talent there but his body his saying no I can't be arsed.
  22. 49, in all competitions, in 3 seasons. With 3 goals (2 in the league). 23 appearances and 0 goals in his last 2 seasons. He has a total of 89 career appearances and 6 goals, according to Wiki. At the age of 25. (Although the goals column is even dubious when I look closer, as the goals actually shown add up to 5 not 6, and 2 of those are for City U21s in the EFL Trophy)
  23. He could cross a ball, from what I remember, and had fairly tricky feet, but a bit of a sicknote. Trouble is though, aren't Rovers now known in the English game as being a club in some kind of crisis, low-balling wages and creating waves for anyone above the ridiculously low bar that has been set for paying new recruits. As a result, I'd be very surprised if a player would care to drop down from a newly promoted prem club, to a crisis club complete with toxic atmosphere, inept management and completely uninterested owners, where there is no evidence at all that things are going to change for the better in the short, medium or long term... I know, I make it sound sooooo attractive.. Now I see why recruitment has been from the ranks of obscure outfits on the periphery of Siberia - no-one there has heard of Blackburn Rovers, mighty conquerers of the Premier League, Football Association Founder members and the home of Jack Walker (oh, and all that other shit we have had to swallow and wallow in since the arrival of the gumptionless ones of Pune..). Y'know, for a second or two there I almost thought we might be looking at Prem cast offs, but then reality bit me in the ballards and I remembered that we ain't like that no more..
