  1. Past hour
  2. End of the day we’ll know on the 1st Feb.
  3. One of two things is/are happening here: a) All the speculation is/has been complete bollux b) An agreement was reached some time ago between the 2 camps that Cantwell would leave in January and at the moment he's just being given a few minutes on the pitch to regain some semblance of match fitness in advance of a move. Whether or not there is an impending clause requiring a wage increase or payment to Rangers is moot, but if there was it would sharpen the focus of Rovers in wanting to shift him in January. It's ridiculous to be even entertaining such thoughts but nothing surprises me any more with this lot. They'd seemingly sacrifice their granny to save a few quid. You'd have been carted off in white coats for suggesting 24 hours before Hyam was sold that he would be leaving a matter of hours before the deadline with no replacement but it happened.
  4. The dude has run a clubhouse for years and you're turning that experience down?
  5. Apart from when they were late to the forum because they had to pray first.
  6. Also, if they are having some halal food (and they will be for Gestede, Kargbo, Gueye amongst others) , it would be cheaper to have all halal food.. economies of scale, and simplifying ordering. One thing this regime loves is cheaper Where I would be surprised is if the general staff (in the main) cared in the slightest. unless they are big on animal rights The UK government doesn't have a legal requirement to ensure all animals are stunned before slaughter. Around 88% of animals slaughtered in the UK for Halal are stunned first. All animals slaughtered under the Shechita (for Kosher) are non-stunned.
  7. Why would anywhere in the UK ? But it happens because it's easier and cheaper.
  8. I was thinking Ismael and Gestede. Not sure Pasha is. As the date of this match wasn't specified I find the story eminently believable other than if the "Back 3" referred to are "Miller/Mclaughin/Pratt I could understand anyone not rating the first two but not Pratt.
  9. This isn't the first time this rumour has been doing the rounds. I'm sure, it was bollox last time as well, could be wrong on that though.
  10. In other words chaddy you know nothing more than the rest of us,we are all in the dark and have been for the last 15 years. Mickey Mouse could apply, would fit a treat with their Business model.
  11. Because Suhail and Gestede are Muslim, perhaps?
  12. This sounds like bollocks as well. Why would an English football team owned by Indian Hindus make all food be halal?
  13. Will that situation ever be any different though? Do you not think it's possible we'd let him go on a free or a nominal fee just to get him off the wage bill?
  14. Doctor Robert - The Coming of Grace
  15. 💯 we always talk about "it's a must win its a must win" In this league you have got to be beating those below you no excuses. If we can't win these games in this battle below like you say we are in serious trouble and will put ourselves in contention for relegation. Time to turn it up now. We know we can play when we want. It's not pretty football but we have enough tools to get the job done. The standard this year bar a few teams is shite and we can beat most of the teams in this league. Can't rely on penalties, no calls etc. Go out. Play football.
  16. The only club in the league that expands its club management/head of/corporate positions whilst its non player income is sliding to a new modern day low. Trying to run it like a chicken nugget corporation when it needs a bottom upwards rebuild. WHEN will they realise it ALL revolves around what happens on a playable pitch with a decent team ?
  17. Seems highly unlikely that the first team are playing friendlies matches in a week where we have 3 games. They played Tuesday, they will have had Wednesday off.
  18. They could appoint the best CEO in the game, it makes no difference as they have no power to do anything at the club under the current regime.
  19. That sounds like a load of bollocks to me.
  20. Some of us have been supporting rovers before venkys and have a certain level of expectation of the standards our beloved club should hold and, like many have mentioned, the downgrade of our players, coaching staff, pitch etc makes it very hard to just “get behind the lads” of course we all want rovers to do well but we need an increase in standards that will only come with proper investment and ownership
  21. Tell your wife to hide all your sharp knives.
  22. Today
  23. So the opposite of what happens here then.
  24. All good theory but never happens here. And you always caution us wait and see what will happen when he Club/owners make a big decision., but the result is always the same----gross disappointment. I expect nothing from them but more disappointment.
  25. Depending who we will appoint and what sort of level of experience will determine my opinion and whether its just CEO title or whether they do have the sort of responsibility I would expect? No I don't believe the CEO or DoF should have the sole responsible to sack the head coach but it should owner should be involved and back decision in conjection with the CEO and DoF
  26. Good job we didn’t get a home FA Cup tie (and no potential replay these days, of course) as presumably we’d be scoping out playing at Chorley (or maybe Clitheroe?) for that extra fixture too?
