When the hardcore loyal supporters, don't want to turn up, something has to change.

How many of the players would be better if the team’s mentality was changed? How many are just poor players ‘full stop’?

Where is the foot work from Pope and Duckett in their dismissal? Nothing. Crawley, Root and Brook got good deliveries but could their footwork been better? Probably in Crawley and Brook. Stokes dig in and show strength and character to fight. My biggest questions are:- 1. Are their better batsmen knocking the door in county championship? Top 3 run scores last season were Sibley, Hameed and Lees, who had their chances at Test level and failed. So are players like McKinney, Haines, Bethall ready to step up and coming for those 3? 2. Is it time to bring in James Rew as the main keeper and bat 7? Only 21, but performances like last season, surely it only time with Jamie Smith moving up the order? 3. Did we pick the right bowlers? You look at Neser and Boland playing and you asking if Sam Cook or Matthew Fisher should have been taken to Australia? 4. Why didnt we asked for minimum of 2 warm up games before the first test? What changes would you like to?. Change Captain? Change McCullum? Change which players? Can I ask anyone on here, does anyone watch any county cricket? If so, anyone stood out?

England should have won the previous Ashes series and last summer's India series but threw them away through the silly first Test declaration in the former and mindless batting in the last Test in the latter. It worked for a while and was exciting to watch but now it doesn't. McCullum should resign after this series.

Amateurs seem to have taken over again. Totally inadequate preparation, (they knew best) and a basic failure to understand that there are 5 days in a Test match. Feel so sorry for the thousands of England supporters now stuck with a dead series. It seems to me we can now only play at home on our wickets.

Didn’t we have an academy game abandoned this year due to a drone flying overhead? It would certainly be unprecedented for another first team game to be abandoned or delayed! Shame the gantry is on the other side now as a protest on the hill for a tv game would potentially get attention

The Coalition has nailed its colours to the mast but I do think it has wider spread than the previous action group or Trust did. Plenty of people will join in I think the Coalition could do a much better job at putting the message out about the history of Venkys. Plenty of people still quoting £200m investment / £20m a year investment / “who will buy us”? There is a very easy win that none of the £20m per year is actual investment - it’s dead operating losses - and this can be demonstrated very easily in graphs and charts. PowerBI is excellent at this sort of data analysis these days - how Venkys have decimated us financially to be a stagnant and useless operation. It’s not good management and people need to see that in a way they understand The next step is showing where else true investment has happened in the FL. We are not asking to be Man City (but it would be nice) however it’s very clear other clubs with less of a history to us have benefited from smart and interested owners who want to see a sporting success. As a protest movement, it is my opinion this is what is lacking. Just my two pennies worth mind. If I can lend a hand and people want that, feel free to message me

The only thing I probably would have changed about the original statement would have been the full boycott call. I think it's the right message, but for many who are still going that will be too much to stomach at this point in time. It might have been better to target one specific match to begin with, and go from there. I know Watford has since been designated as the game separately, but not sure if that came from the coalition or from a different entity. I think a single game to begin with would be more tolerable to a larger group of fans, and would give a focus point for both the campaign and the media. I think the reasons to boycott are implicit within the statement released, so I'm not sure it needed to be spelled out any further. Perhaps some bullet points on the specific intent to try and coerce those on the fence, but again, a lot of the reasons are in the statement and if one has read the entire thing it shouldn't be necessary to regurgitate the same points in an appeal to fans who, in all likelihood, will attend no matter what. You'll never get a full boycott from everyone - I'm sure the coalition understands that. There will always be a sizable group that are just going to see a team in blue-and-white playing each week. They concern themselves only with what's happening on the pitch, not the boardroom. No judgement from me on that, we all have our own ways of seeing things. Nonetheless, I think many would put the effort in for one match, and a sparse crowd still sends a message. A lot of the success of a theoretical single-match boycott call would, ultimately, come down to what our results are like leading up to whatever match the boycott is aimed at. Should we be on a winning streak of a few games, you're likely to see less people participate than if our form is as bad as it is right now. Not much anyone can do about that, though - it's just the way things are. Do I think any of the above will change things? Probably not - but why not try? Worst case scenario it has no affect and things stay as they are. Nothing gained, but nothing lost either. Best case scenario it does cause some kind of shift in dynamic, and is the start of some form of change.

Nice of them to extend the same disrespect they’ve consistently shown us fans to the players too. No doubt this is what we’re seeing with Pickering play out right now.
