Mm, not how I remember it. I thought Andy played the deeper role with Reg playing alongside Big Fred. -

Coventry more incentive to win if Boro hold onto their lead. Callum Brittain gives away a sillly penalty and George Hirst misses. Then Kipre gives away a comical own goal. -
Rovers can confirm that its annual Remembrance Day commemorations will take place on Saturday November 8th, coinciding with the club’s 150-year anniversary celebrations. Ahead of the game against Derby County, the club will honour and remember fallen servicemen and women who tragically lost their lives in conflicts past and present, while also showing appreciation to those currently serving in the UK’s Armed Forces. Although final arrangements for the pre-match tribute are still being confirmed, Rovers can announce that wreaths will be laid in the centre circle, where the two teams, match officials and standard-bearers will gather. The ‘Ode of Remembrance’ poem will be read by Reverend Ken Howles, ahead of a period of silence, which will end with the playing of The Last Post. In keeping with annual tradition, the Rovers players will also wear poppy shirts for the game and we are honoured to be joined at Ewood Park by the Accrington Pipe Band, local cadets and Armed Forces veterans. Poppy stalls and bucket collections will also be present around the ground, helping to raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion. Rovers’ annual Remembrance fixture is a deeply significant date in the club’s football calendar. While some elements of this year’s tribute will be slightly adjusted due to the anniversary celebrations, and essential health and safety considerations, the club remains unwavering in its commitment to honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. Neil Shorrock, Royal British Legion Blackburn Chair and Blackburn Poppy Appeal Organiser, said: “We are immensely grateful for the continued support that Blackburn Rovers provide to the Royal British Legion and the Armed Forces community. “Your commitment helps honour and support those who serve and have served.”

IF this is true and I certainly hope it isn't, it will be the biggest of dozens of own goals over the last 15 years. It will be rightly condemned and highlighted in the national press and broadcasters, and could well be the nail in the coffin of this toxic regime

The poster who originally posted it on Facebook.

It’s not the day before a match until the club releases a nonsense statement entirely of their own doing.

Hopefully asap to quash this bollox. -
When do you expect a statement from the club ?
-
Let’s at least wait to see if it’s verified…that seems prudent before we start castigating all & sundry.
-
Yasir the rat strikes again The poison running this club is ridiculous - no wonder people haven't renewed
-
That's going too far even for this lot.
-
If it is true, which I don't think even the idiots in charge at Ewood would be so stupid to do. I would call for a total boycott of the game.

The trusty Yasir.

Allegedly, Yasir has been defending the club on one of the Facebook groups, saying this isn’t the case.
