  1. Past hour
  2. Its personal choice and people should be allow to do that. It's their choice Isn't is Sodexo who runs the Concourse kiosks and its their profit you are hitting not Rovers?
  3. The one thing I would say about the timing argument is that the coalitions direction allows both the festive attendance - but on the priviso you don’t spend in the ground - and then the full boycott is in January when all of the usual festivities are over. I would urge people to follow the turn the taps off. Ultimately, this is what will damage the Venkys. You can still show your support and attend but not giving the club money hurts That said, even if it only disrupts revenue by 10-20% then it has done its job. I’m sure the coalition can point to that in next years accounts when revenue is down 😄
  4. then val is spot on for ignoring him,i thought he was going to progress and be a regular on the bench this season, another finneran for me,tyjon signs for arsenal and you never hear of him again, turns up in non league aged 23 without a single senior appearance
  5. This...and I am sure it would have been part of their consideration..
  6. Buying a pint doesn’t give the players support.
  7. Isn't the Watford game, back end of January being targetted for the protest?
  8. Yes he was, maybe it was slight knock or something. But he is important to how we play with the 2 second strikers
  9. He was last one off the pitch yesterday after the game and was moving fine, so hoping he's ok.
  10. I believe its the latter, he won't commit
  11. meaning Baz ball is just wrong. The players need to take some bloody responsible for their shot selections and dismissals. McCullum should take the blame for poor preparations and no proper warm up games. Crawley played well in the last inning and that's his platform for continuing that well. Root is our class player. Brook needs to calm down I think McCullum will go after this test series but remain white ball coach. Someone like Langer would be choice, speaks with such sense on tv appearances on cricket and the techniques of our players and foot movement
  12. I did similar asking people what they thought out this "turn the tops off" protest and not spending in concourse. They said they would be coming to games, if they want to have a pint or 2, they will. I will do what's suit me was the answer. The players need our support and I will continue to do that. They were the answers given to me.
  13. Indeed. And then they get us there it will then be time to point at Bolton, Huddersfield, Bradford, Cardiff and shout 'we can't compete with that'. Then a few more years and they'll be pointing towards Notts County, Swindon and Oldham and 'we can't compete with that'. The trouble when you've got no pride or ambition and are solely interested in cutting costs and corners is that there's no end to it - you can always find more to cut, more reductions to be made, more excuses to throw out. Play the game long enough and I'm sure we could say that we can't compete with the likes of Carlisle and Southend.
  14. val appears not to rate tyjon or could be the fact he won`t sign a pro contract in the hope of getting signed to a bigger club,if thats the case then val is correct in not picking him
  15. Yes. Stewards told the people with the banner.."leave it there for now, but won't be allowed in future"
  16. I have it nearly directly from the snakes mouth that they want a number so silly and delusional (£160m+) that it’s functionally the same as saying “not for sale”. They’d not even get that if we were in the PL (unless we became an established team again).
  17. Ohashi and Gudjohnsen just works as partnership. Gudjohnsen stays centrally and has decent link up play and knows where the goal is. Ohashi, works his socks and runs the channels and has 6 goals for the season. Gudjohnsen has 7 goals and Ohashi has 6 goals for the season, probably looking around the 15 goals each for the season he was down a couple of minutes injury before he went off, nothing major hopefully.
  18. Think Montgomery is better than Tavares.
  19. We have some superb players in the under 18 team...Harry Lister and Silver Eze. Not long before they are in the first team. But where's Igor Tyjon?
  20. We are a league 1 club now in everything but name and it's only a matter of time.
  21. Not many rumours around at the minute for most clubs.
  22. Today
  23. baradji looks a really good player, what are the chances of him getting fully match fit and ****** off at the end of the season because we won`t pay the fee at the end of his loan, thats if we have actually agreed a loan to buy,the incompetence of the backroom staff is pretty well known
  24. Regarding fan boycotts and support from the ground, I thought I’d take a longer view and look at average attendances across local clubs over a large period to see how we’ve actually fared compared to teams around us. I’ve looked at every season from 2009 to 2010 onwards and taken the average attendance figures from three different websites for consistency. I’ve done the same for Bolton, Preston and that lot down the road. It's too large to put all seasons for all teams in, but, Comparing the average attendances from those the first and last seasons gives a fairly interesting picture. 2009–2010 Rovers (PL): 25,428 Bolton (PL): 21,881 Burnley (PL): 20,654 Preston (Champ): 12,935 2024–2025 Rovers (Champ): 16,161 (36% decrease) Bolton (League One): 21,325 (2.5% decrease) Burnley (Champ): 19,876 (3.77% decrease) Preston (Champ): 16,505 (27.59% increase)
  25. It was imperative England got off to a good start by at least drawing the first Test but they started badly as always - and from then on it was always going to be difficult To me that is down purely to poor preparation. Playing a few one dayers as warm up is not the way to prepare for a tough 5-Test series. Why the management thought it would work only they know. Boycott said it was stupidity - and he was right. The opposition have one exceptional bowler on top form but overall there wasn't much between the bowling attacks. England's bowlers have generally pitched the ball too short - even against the tail enders. That's poor cricket and comes down to the bowling coaches. England's batmen have seriously underperformed. There's little a batsman can do when he gets a very good ball but so many of our dismissals were down to poor shots and muddled thinking, wickets given away time and again. I blame the Bazball mentality for much of that. The least England can do is battle hard in the last 2 Tests and show some pride. Now it doesn't matter and the Ashes are gone I wouldn't put it past them to see them win both
  26. Harry Leonard is a rare success story for the academy, even more so, if he makes it at Peterborough. I can't think of forwards coming through the ranks at Rovers lately to go on to play regular league football.
