tony gale's mic Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 If things stay similarly and if we beat City, things are going to be remarkably tight around the relegation places.
T4E Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 If things stay similarly and if we beat City, things are going to be remarkably tight around the relegation places. Our game is becoming more and more important by the second isn't it? Not sure what to hope for in the Stoke and West Brom games, but hopefully Sunderland and Pompey lose.
Presty On Tour Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Pie eaters beating the notlob 1-0, Zaki pen.
alexanders Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Bolton isn't sure of relegation scrap them either.
philipl Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 It all points to a long hard slog in the second half of the season to get out of the horrific relegation mess that Ince dumped us into.
alexanders Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I agree, but half the league is in the danger of getting relegated. Spurs, Wham, Pompey, West Brom, Stoke, Bolton, Boro, Blackburn, Sunderland, Newcastle It is very tight! It has to be one of the most important January windows to spend and certainly spend right. A correct signing might be the reason to what keeps a club up.
James No. 7 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 West Brom is 1-0 up. Now guess who is in last place...
yellowsubmarine Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 3 points against City will be so massive now.
T4E Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 (Please don't use that word again)ing Jason Roberts!
philipl Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 If we are being abusive, that little prat Ince is reponsible for this: 15 Man City 19 8 21 16 Tottenham 20 -5 20 17 Middlesbrough 19 -11 20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18 Stoke 20 -15 20 19 West Brom 20 -19 18 20 Blackburn 19 -14 17
yoda Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 then again 4-0 to us and we are out of the bottom 3
Mr. E Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 honestly, it doesn't look good. There are no outsider teams in the prem this season. Everyone, even West Brom are picking up points all over the place, and the teams that will go down are the ones who miss their chance to take the points when they were there. Which, unfortunately, is us. We'll continue fighting, but at the end of the season it might very well be the 4 points we dropped in the last 2 days that do us in. edit: And by Sam's interview, he knows this as well. Very frightening indeed.
ABBEY Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 and we might stay up by 2 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sunderland and city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Manchester United v M'Boro is about to start. Come on you reds!
1864roverite Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Shited 0-0 at the moment but all over boro. You know whats coming ? A Boro goal
John Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Could do with Man Utd getting their a*ses into gear - plenty of time left but lets hope it is not 'one of those nights'.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Thankfully Ronaldo looks so p***ed off that he's probably going to have an amazing second half and go crazy when he scores again.
Sandiway Blue Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Park missed an absolute sitter, even Roberts would have put it away!
philipl Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Park missed an absolute sitter, even Roberts would have put it away! Now are you sure about that statement bacup?
Bobby G Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Boro firmly in it now... Some teams might not cope with it psychologically suddenly finding themselves in the bottom 2-3, so best thing we can do is get at least 3 wins in January. If you believe the papers today then its -> Pennant to Wigan, Valencia to Real, Heskey to Liverpool, Defoe to Spurs not Villa, Parker and Bellamy to Man City, Sturridge signs a new contract, Arshavin to Arsenal, Foster to Spurs, Gomes back to PSV, Given to Arsenal and he will be replaced by Kenny, NZogbia will take the same flight with Shay... And oh, Drogba is feeling lonely...
