HemelRover Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I can't see that this has been posted before, but I believe that this Kompany is somewhat limited. Really! and that was needed why?

bob fleming Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 He got on a train and headed north-west. let me guess he arrived.. then left.. If he got off at Blackburn Station then you're probably right veevs. Unless a few of Ince's men bundled him into the back of car with a blanket on his head I doubt he'll have been very impressed with what he saw. "No Mr Pinto, no. I can assure you that there hasn't been a bomb". I'm lead to believe that it is very good for porn. Well I can't find anything, and believe me I've looked. That's just an urban myth.
Ronin Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 i would love to see curbisley's face if we sign this player and he turn out to be a signing in the santa cruz division:D Could be a similar thing to when Nelsen was on trial at Charlton, but they didn't think much of him . . . then he went to Rovers and the rest is history
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Blackburn are looking at former Real Madrid winger Jordi Lopez to fill the gap left by David Bentley's move to Tottenham. (Various) Says it all really, gone from looking at Joaquin to a free transfer... It just further reinforces my view that the trust have either absorbed the Bentley money, or Ince isn't being given it. I find it hard to believe that if a decent amount of money was available Ince wouldn't be spending it.
hawkiiz Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 he got to have some money if he is willing to spend a million on the mk dons skipper...? Rosenborg and Stabæk are first in line for Annan by the way. guess he will sign before the window closes.
JohnS Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Nicko, how much truth is in there that Doyle is going to Villa because surely that would end their interest in RSC.
briansol Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Rosenborg and Stabæk are first in line for Annan by the way. guess he will sign before the window closes. They are the only ones in line appearantly, althought I don't think Stabæk can afford him. Where did your bidding war go?
Torgeir Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Pinto will score the winner against West Ham at Upton Park. That WOULD be Priceless. Luca$h Neill scoring the winner against West Ham at Upton Park would be priceless
CAPT KAYOS Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Nicko, where did City find £6m for Kompany? Was it down the back of Frank's sofa or are there impending outgoings? Mmmm .... is it really 6M Mr C - that is the question? Seems all I keep reading is that a deal has been agreed All sounds very strange again in my book .. .a bit like the Jo scenario
Hughesy Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 They will be paying for it with the sale or Corluka to Spurs. Either that or part of that loan they got.
thenodrog Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 It just further reinforces my view that the trust have either absorbed the Bentley money, or Ince isn't being given it. I find it hard to believe that if a decent amount of money was available Ince wouldn't be spending it. But given the contractual conditions of today why the hell spend transfer money on any player other than one who may increase in value. Spurs have spent 18m plus his wages on Bentley, if his wages are 2m pa then Bentley's cost to Spurs over the next (5?) years will be in the region of £28m. Compare that to picking up a freedom of contract player who will simply cost the salary? Big money on any player past 26/27 is dead money. Personally I'm suprised that Prem clubs and managers took so long to adapt to this when the rule came in. Allardyce at Bolton being the obvious exception that provided the blueprint that we are now following.
brfcs5359 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I agree, I think the transfer market is fragmenting/collapsing. Allardyce did break the mold and proved very good teams could be built on a budget. In fact, I don't hear many experts punching out that old cliche "you can only succeed with money" anymore.
BPF Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 According to which paper.. or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRD3YRvYmtw...feature=related Please note who posted the youtube videos, would that be the football agents per chance? let me guess he arrived.. then left.. If it was his agent that put that video up I think he needs to consider firing him. Highlights of his abilities consisting of putting it over from four yards out and generally not hitting the target?!?
hawkiiz Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 They are the only ones in line appearantly, althought I don't think Stabæk can afford him. Where did your bidding war go? if stabæk gamble to win the league, maybe they can? the bidding war died the second Annan entered the uefa-cup i guess. im very puzzled over the sudden lack of interest. he did nothing to hurt his reputation in those matches. did he?
RevidgeBlue Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 ANDREWS - Just about the strangest move I can recall for some time. MK Dons have accepted the offer but not given the move the go-ahead. The player will NOT play for them this weekend. There is some kind of snag but no-one is saying what. Very odd. Better leave your forwarding address just in case the humble pie needs to be redirected.
Majiball Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 FFS Youtube can be useful but dont take everything you see on there so serious. He could be crap, he could be class. Usually Real Madrid only take an interest in good players/ Hopefully the lad will sign for us Santos are generally no mugs in the transfer market, Mascherano and Tevez they do mainly snap up the best young talent in SA and flog them on for stupid money. He must have something about him to have gone there, surely. I agree, I think the transfer market is fragmenting/collapsing. Allardyce did break the mold and proved very good teams could be built on a budget. In fact, I don't hear many experts punching out that old cliche "you can only succeed with money" anymore. Last year, how much did the prem teams spend it was a fortune. Trouble is most of it went abroad, we are funding the rest of europe, its getting rarer each year to see transfers between english clubs. We persistantly place stupid values on our players so clubs go abroad, all this TV money is escaping and funding the rest of europe. I also think a lot of clubs over spent last year and we are now seeeing the result a window with little movement. I like your cliche "you can only suceed with money" is that a Rafa quote?
roverfanuk Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Benni wants to leave if he isnt part of Ince's immediate first team plans: http://sports.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Fo...Premier-League/ Oh and according to the Setanta transfer table, Baysse has left after a trial and Joaquin's agent has refused that were interested in his client...

hawkiiz Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Wasnt that posted a good few days ago. yep. QOTSA's piece. its discussed a page or two back i think
Guest Kamy100 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Benni is also in today's Lancashire Telegraph saying that he should be allowed to leave.
Oklahoma Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Santos are generally no mugs in the transfer market, Mascherano and Tevez they do mainly snap up the best young talent in SA and flog them on for stupid money. He must have something about him to have gone there, surely. I'm not 100% sure but I believe that both players belonged to a private company, not Santos. Probably MSI. So they didn't profit that much. They did profit when they sold Robinho to Real Madrid. That's why Premier League is the best in the world, it has the best players. So, most of them, have to come from abroad.

I take it you remember the saga with Tevez and Mascherano.. both owned by MSI not Santos.. great work in the transfer market there by Santos Pinto got a whole three games with Santos and I have a feeling Pinto is owned by 1st sports management whoever they are maybe we should go for the other guy they are have on their books atm he is a right winger..

Plus it wasn't Santos who had them it was Corinthians who had Mascherano and Tevez. Diego and Robinho were Santos.

Yep and thats one of the reasons why our TV revenue is so high.. you get fans from all over the world watching their favourite football players, and the best league going.. wonder if we have many fans in Norway given we have Pederson in our side..
