MarkBRFC71 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Derbs out Hodge in Thank Christ. Derbyshire's found his level - Blue Square. Get shut and cash in - use the money for a proper striker.
chileandude Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 ohhhh...man that was close...c'mon Rovers wake up!!!
RovertheHill Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Not a great advert for us really. Don't think anyone out there has done themselves any favours in terms of forcing their way into the first team
Dan Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Bejesus, how close was that?!! They half deserve it, we have been woefull.
novella Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Have to say our passing has been absolutely shambolic at times.
Fife Rover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I thought Derbs would have starred in this kind of game; he did afterall play for Gt. Harwood and their pitch as I know from experience was more like a ploughed field than a football pitch.
j166429 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I've never seen anything as bad in my life. I seriously think I could have played better tonight.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Hanging on against a side 118 places below us says it all...
brfc4ever Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Blyth has been more dangerous than us in the 2nd...
USRoverME Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Rovers Man of the Match???? Sounds like Carlos, unless you can give it to the Blyth players who missed chances...
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Khiza has been the most consistent player tonight in my opinion. Too many of the players have shown that they aren't good enough for the first team today. It's a sad sight for Rovers fans and also for Big Sam. He obviously expected better despite the pitch conditions. He'll give them a good telling off or a chance to find a new club.
T4E Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Technique wise too many of our XI have found their level tonight. The pitch is no excuse, professional Premier League footballers should be able to trap a ball and pass straight. And now we're taking it in to the corner. How embarrassing.
j166429 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 If i'd played like that down the park I'd be seriously naffed off with my self!
John Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I thought Zurab looked good and like he played at a decent level. Some of the performances tonight were so poor it is quite worrying. Anyway, its the result that matters!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Fair play to Blyth. For a team in the Blue Premier North.....they made us look like a fellow team in that league.
Fife Rover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 How did Roberts do after he caame on? Nobody has even mentioned him so it cant have been very much!
BuckyRover Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 If I hadn't previously cancelled Setanta, I would now At least we won. Next stop Stadium of Light
j166429 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 For a group of so called pro's who kick the ball around every day of the week, I can't believe how poor they were!!
Amo Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 It wasn't a great game, but you have to remember that minnows almost always raise their game against the bigger sides and put everything behind it. Against a relegation threatened second-string, they were gonna fancy their chances of snatching something. Football isn't always black & white, but I do agree that a lot of our players tonight didn't sell themselves. Zurab & Bunn looked the only highlights.
j166429 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 How did Roberts do after he caame on? Nobody has even mentioned him so it cant have been very much! One of his efforts from 6 yards nearly wen out for a throw in!!
