Hi Mack Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 They won't sell him for that Agreed.............i dont think they'd br cheeky to ask for 10M England U21 captain, young and experienced!
RevidgeBlue Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Arsenal also seem to be having problems with bums in seats. They've been calling around to London companies trying to sell corporate packages for the season. There was a chap on Talksport a while ago saying he was asked to write out a cheque for 37k !!!!! for himself his wife and 2 kids for ST's for five years when the emirates was first built. Unsurprisingly with them now looking like also rans in the Championship stakes he said he wouldn't be doing the same again!
cn174 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I have found this on the BBC website, I think it is pretty interesting. Looking at where all the PL players are from compared to 20 years ago. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/8182090.stm
American Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Have to say that I'm liking what Hull did over the summer - probably going to get killed today, but I think they've gotten enough to stay up. Also, agree with Gray that Essien is more of a central player. Think he'd be best in the back of the diamond, but what do I know.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Chelsea just equalised against Hull 1-1 nice freekick by Drogba. On the Essien thing i agree, imo he's there best player they need to play a formation or a system that maximises his strengths.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 It was never a freekick though - Mikel dived. Ref helping the big guns already.
budha Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Ghilas coming on for Hull. Interesting to see what's he like.
47er Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Ghilas coming on for Hull. Interesting to see what's he like. He was aweful----terrible first touch. Looked out of his depth---like Pedersen at Southampton years ago.
Presty On Tour Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Drogba's 2nd was quality. I first thought it was a miss hit cross! Essien was brilliant in midfield. Hull were unlucky not to get a draw but they parked the bus 2nd half and failed. Ghilas done ok i thought, a few bad touches but was unlucky with his shot at the end. Too little time for him today.

Drogba admitted it was a mishit cross. Ghilas wasn't too bad, considering it was his first match and he didn't have a lot of time to get settled with his teammates this week, or in the match today.
Eddie Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Ghilas looked OK, certainly has some pace about him, but looked very one footed and didn't put enough pressure on Chelsea players or deal well when he wasn't given any time. It was a good hit at the end though. He might adapt well, but I don't think we've missed out on anything special.
rover6 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Pompey's midfield pairing? The Wardrobe and the Axe (aka Diop and Mokoena). I think we know what Hart is going for there...
ffan Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Andy Johnson misses an open goal. What an utter nipple.
HemelRover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Pompey's midfield pairing? The Wardrobe and the Axe (aka Diop and Mokoena). I think we know what Hart is going for there... But with Krancar in that midfield 4 theyve got more creativity in our entire starting 11.
alexanders Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Everton getting a hell of a beating! 0-5 to Asnl!
RovertheHill Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Everton getting a hell of a beating! 0-5 to Asnl! Teach me to put Tim Howard in my FFL goal
alexanders Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Teach me to put Tim Howard in my FFL goal Just became 6 ! I guess a lot have Lescott in their team as\ well..
Mr. E Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 If I wasn't so down after today I'd almost feel sorry for Everton.
Plastic Head Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Pompey's midfield pairing? The Wardrobe and the Axe (aka Diop and Mokoena). I think we know what Hart is going for there... A pile of firewood?
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Fabregas was my captain in the fantasy league Unlike Everton to collapse like that, reckon the Lescott thing has shook them up?
