yorkyclaret Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 It adds nothing and only serves (perhaps intentionally) to offend. Don't worry about it, I don't find it offensive, a little strange maybe, but then I am not a practicing Christian.
thenodrog Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Staying Down 4 Ever....love rovers ha ha ha GREAT PREDICTION Obviously an incident that left a big enough impression for you to remember for many many years.......... Same here.
SD4E Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Makes me smile everytime too now. To be fair it was funny at the time, now it's hilarious. Its the '4' in it that hits home, thank god the mighty rovers have never fallen as low as you have. Im glad it makes you smile, you have a nice signature too- a link to a consolation goal in yet another defeat to your superior neighbours. now that makes me smile too. what would you lot do if you actually managed a point against us?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Going back to more serious matters and our derby game allocation at Turf moor. The following is taken from Claretsmad on a thread about the subject of the cricket field stand.... ''Just spoke to my mate who does the cctv for the police on the ground and as far as he knows there is no provision other than a ten seat segregation for any match, although checks for ST holders etc will have been done to some degree and cctv will be a lot more vigilant in that area.'' Has anybody heard anymore news from Tom Finn regarding the supposed meeting between both clubs officials and Police on this matter and if not can someone be good enough to raise the question again at the fans forum please. Looks like we could be getting just 2,000 and thats our lot
Nafe_rovers Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Don't worry about it, I don't find it offensive, a little strange maybe, but then I am not a practicing Christian. you cant be christian.... because your mum is also your dad remember :-)
berkshireblue Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 you cant be christian.... because your mum is also your dad remember :-) And his cousin his girlfriend Anyone watching Louis Theroux last night also think Fresno's citizens had an uncanny resemblance to Burnley's
SamDingle Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Only 5 days to go until natural order is resumed and the super Clarets are looking down once again on t'ba***rds. Ready, ladies?
Sandiway Blue Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Only 5 days to go until natural order is resumed and the super Clarets are looking down once again on t'ba***rds. Ready, ladies? Natural? I think you have been supping too much moonshine in them thar hills....
3rdpillar Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 And his cousin his girlfriend Anyone watching Louis Theroux last night also think Fresno's citizens had an uncanny resemblance to Burnley's Yep DINGLES the lot of them, but no different to Blackburn's 1000s of Heroin, Smack, Crack, Coke and Blow heads.
owenrilla Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 What is wrong with Burnley's catering people who have just been on SSN? There was a chef who could barely get his words out (fair enough I suppose if he is nervous) but then some bald bloke appears and spends the interview doing a high speed Ince-style side to side head movement.
Hughesy Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Ha I was watching too owen - he had some crazy heads movements going on!! 17,000 ST holders confirmed, between 7-8000 given away. SO just 9000 sold, compared to mighty Rovers who have over 18,000 (all sold)
Kelbo Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Funny thing here, if you go on to the Lancashire FA website, go to suspensions and look for Owen Coyle!! Suspended sine die by the LFA - can there be two Owen Coyles!!!
1864roverite Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 That guy is the biggest clod that ever walked the dingle soil. he is a bigger mupet than the window salesman and bertie bee
Alex Rover Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Bizarrely I was at the Northampton away game that he got thrown out of sat with the Burnley fans. I was sat quite near him Long story but something to do with an ancient pact with my 2 Bumleh mates that they would have to sit in the BBE and enjoy one of our matches if I went to one of theirs.
Claytons Left Boot Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Only 5 days to go until natural order is resumed and the super Clarets are looking down once again on t'ba***rds. When was the last time then? Not that you'll either remember it or have been there. Three majors? Three? FFS.
Ben-2000 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Makes me smile everytime too now. To be fair it was funny at the time, now it's hilarious. Well we'll make you another one at the end of the season - should keep us all amused for the next chapter of Bumley's dark days

Claytons Left Boot Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 In today's LT supplement there is a feature on the East Lancs derby. It lists the top 10 attendances over the years which range from 41k to 53k. Not only do Rovers have the highest attendance, they also have 7 out of the top 10. Surely some mistake.......a typo per chance........?

Claytons Left Boot Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 This will be the sort of inane flotsam you have to cling to when we hammer you in October. Otherwise known as facts. You've been hammering us ever since April 1979 haven't you......?
unluckymorton Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Otherwise known as facts. You've been hammering us ever since April 1979 haven't you......? Yeah, I remember when they hammered us 5-0 in the the last time we were in the second tier. Oh how that defeat hurt me so. Oh, hang on we beat them. what about when we played them at the dingledome? Oh, bugger. We won that one too. It's been a long time for them just waiting, dragging their knuckles around waiting for the chance to play us again. It must be good for them to have a club so close by to look up to. Ha I was watching too owen - he had some crazy heads movements going on!! 17,000 ST holders confirmed, between 7-8000 given away. SO just 9000 sold, compared to mighty Rovers who have over 18,000 (all sold) I was talking to a colleague yesterday, sadly he lives in the dingle area, poor chap. He explained that the 'free' season tickets are not actually 'free', they are subject to a rebate at the end of the season, buy now - rebate later. Maybe the club are hoping that some fans miss the deadline for the rebate and don't manage to claim their money back.

Watching crap football... check! You're becoming a Dingle circa 1989. You just need the 4th division team and you're there.

We've always played the better football, yours is just subjective dross based on your small town mentalities Sam You need to get out more and see a bit more.
