Reminds me of Hull beating Arsenal away last year.....

I can see them giving Everton a game too on Sunday in all fairness.

The hard work bit is so important and Burnley appeared to have worked hard!!

If you dont work hard, the skill wont come through!

You earn the right to play football and from the first whistle you work hard, gt in controll of the game, then play your football!!

Burnley will beat us in one of the two, mark my words.

They get up for the big games, don't know if we will.

Feel sick :(

Exactly what I thought too..They deserved the win and that pains me to say...!

I think they may beat us but I think we'll finish above them, rather that than the other way round anyway.

Oh (Please don't use that word again) this. I can see United 3-0 up at half time at Ewood. Then we will really hear it from the Dingles about how they beat United. Bloody hell, United have looked awful in the 1st 2 games.

Here's one for you. We're going to beat Man Utd on Wednesday.

I stake my much valued hamster on it.

Well done Sam. A brave prediction if ever there was one.

Get a grip of yourself man. We'll not have such defeatist talk. It's all very well them beating Man Utd. We are Blackburn Rovers and when we play them it's something quite different.

Meanwhile let they come on here all giddy.

I warned of this a few weeks ago when certain members were saying they were not as good as Stoke last year and would get the lowest points total ever (I'll not quote to save the blushes of the people involved). Last year they looked to be as good as anyone in that division at times. However they had their off days. They will get a lot more good results throughout the season. However there's no reason to believe they will do it against us. Indeed looking at the highlights from the Stoke game maybe our 'style' will play in our favour.

Hull beat Arsenal at The Emirates last year but we were fairly comfortable in the two games against them last year. Chill out everyone. We've beat members of the big four many times. It means diddly squat as to whether they stop up or in the two games against us.

God help MOTD tonight!

The main man there is a dingle I believe. It's on for 65 minutes tonight, so it will be 60 minutes of the match, 4 minutes of the pundits loving the inbreds and the final minute will show the rest of the midweek goals.

They have worked for their result tonight, but this is one game, there is one thing in football you must remember, NEXT!!

Next shot, next pass and next game!!!

And as for Burnley, forget them, it is not what they do, its what we do!!!

You can point out that United always start slow, that they had a second choice back four, and all the rest of it (which is all true), but the fact remains Burnley fully earned the win tonight with sheer hard work.

You can only have that cup final atmosphere so many times, though - hopefully by the time we go there it'll have long since worn off.

Do you reckon? Or will they be anticipating that game as the climax of their season?

They may be able to defend against £50m of fluid passing and intricate skills but they'll be no match for our Hoofball* :D

Think about it Dingles... when the hangovers worn off in the morning it's time to get back to beating the wife / chasing sheep / smashing up your own town / counting to 12 on your fingers.

correct! at last some bloody sense!

im lost for words that supposed rovers fans could even contemplate that lot beating us! :o

we'll wipe the floor with burnley, in both the games, and they'll be relegated by pancake tuesday!

Some utterly laughable, cringeworthy knee-jerk reactions on here! Get a bloody grip.

Always pathetic to read the defeatist panic on here, especially when it's common knowledge the Dingles frequent this forum. It beggars belief. They won't beat us, and if they do let's at least show a united front before and after.

Sheeeesh!

Pick up your backbone guys ffs like listening to little girls whining, burnley simply wanted it more and united were .....well.... turd.. Burnleys gameplan worked well and united went there thinking they were just going to roll them over , more fool them , make no beef sam will have the players wound up with gameplan to suit when its our turn.

Dingles will harp on about it for the rest of their lives but when relegated it wont matter much, not many keepers around the globe would have stopped that shot and united simply didnt have the plan to get the goals back.

The only thing i learned from this game is that united may well struggle to be a top 4 team this year unless they sign someone to replace ronaldos quality, I saw nothing different from burnley than what i saw last year, a team with a good work ethic working hard for each other, apart from the goal which was freakishly good when else would they have scored? was an entertaining match and for burnley to win was a bit of a shock but not in the way the press will make, i would have said draw or 0-1 before the game.
