adopted scouser Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Olsson diving again. Every time he goes over I expect to see the United bench holding up cards 5.9 5.8 5.9 6.0 5.8

snatchymcsnatch Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I fear 0-2 United on this one but hoping it just won't go for them and we get a lucky break.
Blackburn Ender Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Watching in the Lass O´Gowrie in Manchester. Full of Utd fans, obviously. Quiet as the proverbial. But me and the Lass´s owner pretty happy (Gary´s a Rovers fan) with that half. United don´t yet look as if they´re playing for the title.
DeadlyDirk Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I've just read the RedCafe board for a laugh to see what the Mancs think of the game, they crack me up. People calling for Fergie out and people that expected a hatful and to be adding 4 or 5 to their goal difference. I'd love it if we dent their title bid, love it!
Rovermatt Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 United have been pretty average to be honest however we've let them have all the possession. Our ball retention is simply appalling. We've managed to disrupt United quite well but we seem determined to surrender the ball every time. Such a lazy attitude to possession will punish us before the end of the game.
Exiled in Toronto Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Grella's misplaced a few but the fact is that our few moments going forwards have all involved him. At least he looks to pick a forward pass. Emerton is the passenger today.
Steve Moss Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I am very pleased with the Rovers. Strong on defense and they're trying to create chances for Kalinic (who can score if they get the ball to him), without much luck so far. I'm feeling confident with this one, Rovers 2-0 United. Kalinic and Olsen.

We've managed to disrupt United quite well but we seem determined to surrender the ball every time. Such a lazy attitude to possession will punish us before the end of the game. We just get the ball and hoof it back up to Vidic, Ferdinand or Van Der Sar. Then the pressure starts all over again.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Everytime we get the ball and go forward, there is no one there to help build an attack in their half.

Amo Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I am very pleased with the Rovers. Strong on defense and they're trying to create chances for Kalinic (who can score if they get the ball to him), without much luck so far. Luck has little to do with it, it's the quality that's missing. We're both wasteful and clueless with the ball, and Kalinic often has no one around him for thirty yards.
DeadlyDirk Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Other than Berbatov it only looks like Giggs and Scholes who can make anything happen, no wonder they get a new deal every year and end up playing a large part of the season, they'll need 50m+ to replace those two, I think Salgado is right when he says they miss a top midfielder.
tonyoz Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Andrews Or Grella? Close call IMO, both as bad as each other. Infact Andrews probably gets around the pitch better Theres only Nzonzi on our side that plays the simple pass Nzonzi has killed several promising moves with his slowness of thought and action. He has to take the responsibility of moving the ball forward more often and more rapidly.

We're both wasteful and clueless with the ball, and Kalinic often has no one around him for thirty yards. Not Kalinic's fault but if we are going to continue to play in that style by leaving one forward up on his own we may as well get Roberts on now as at least he'll do a better hold up job. Kalinic needs people to commit themselves forward a little more and get up to support him a lot quicker otherwise it'll continue coming back at us for the second half as well. Need to do one of the two in my opinion or eventually they'll break us down.
Pinch Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Utd. out of sorts...wish we could nick one right now
martmitch Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Looking a bit more fruitful going forward with dunn on now
bigbrandjohn Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 This is our best opportunity to nick one.Olsson looks to have pulled something. Park on the park.
snatchymcsnatch Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Come on boys defend for your lives and nick one on the break.
bigbrandjohn Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Neville gets a yellow for having an ugly mug. Diouf on for Olssen. Watch the sparks fly now.
snatchymcsnatch Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Diouf on - couldn't make the kick off apparently cos the buses are running Sunday service
