Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Chelsea have a good chance if they can keep their best players fit.
rebelmswar Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Don't know about Spurs whilst watching this. Valencias injury is supposedly too graphic for TV.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It'll be on YouTube in an hour or so probably
M-K Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 So it is! His ankle went a bit floppy but it doesn't look as bad as Alan Smith or Eduardo.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 This is the most boring game I have seen for a long time. United's midfield lacks so much creativity without Paul Scholes pulling the strings. Two handballs in the box whilst Giggs and Edu (i think) were on the ground in the penalty box. So much for the touchline officials making an impact on the game. What's the point in them being there Full time - 0-0 Alex Ferguson's fault for putting out a weak team.
Sandiway Blue Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 It'll be on YouTube in an hour or so probably It is.. Nothing malicious in the tackle, just looks like he caught the turf badly poor lad...
Mr. E Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Rather irked Spurs got a point...I really want them to fail miserably. oh and nice to see Bentley the star that he is shine so brightly on the bench, forgotten by everyone...great career choice, Bents, hope your proud of it.
Doaksie Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Chelsea looking very laboured tonight, although to be fair they do have 9 points from their first 3 games, so a draw would hardly be the worst result in the grand scheme of things. Interesting stat that at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have scored 40 goals since Cech last let in a goal. Incredible.

RibbleValleyRover Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 The best striker in the world puts Barca 1-0 up against Arsenal. Nice pass from Messi.
daveJ Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Barca are so good. Arsenal make almost everyone else look like mugs and they aren't even getting a kick.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Really poor goalkeeping by Valdes. 1-1
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I still fancy Barca to make it through by beating Arsenal at the Camp Nou. They have an away goal and its only a one goal deficit.
Backroom Tom Posted February 16, 2011 Backroom Posted February 16, 2011 Strangely Barca didn't seem too bothered about going back to the Nou Camp just one down. Arsenal did well but got lucky barca should have had a penalty at the end and the disallowed goal looked borderline to me. I like Arsenal but want Barca to win the tournament.
T4E Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Strangely Barca didn't seem too bothered about going back to the Nou Camp just one down That's because to go through Arsenal have to avoid defeat and/or stop Barca from scoring in the Camp Nou, both of which are very unlikely.
philipl Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Second leg is going to be really interesting. I'd say Barca winning 1-0 is the most likely outcome.
RoversSG Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Might be a bit late to mention this but prior to the Barca game, Messi and Xavi were all talking about their concerns about the pace of Walcott. Lennon also cut Milan to pieces with his pace the other night. It seems that if you have pace, you will trouble even the best team. Hopefully Kean will takes note and play Olsson and Holliet on the flanks every game as well as get some quick fullbacks in the summer.
Ozz Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Also, having watched both CL games on telly this week-how much better are the refs in Europe than the ones we see at Rovers and in the Premier League? We should import more European refs and fewer players.
Eddie Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I went to the game last night and it was a bit of an odd one. From about the 20th to 60th minute Barcelona were a different class, but before and after that Arsenal did a much better job of pushing up and breaking up Barcelona's possession. Surprisingly good atmosphere as well.

SouthAussieRover Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Get in there Arsenal. I hope they stuff Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
T4E Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Its called the Camp Nou, not the Nou Camp. It's like saying we play at Park Ewood.
