gumboots Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 If Sam's team had have done what Kean's team did in the last 15 minutes on Saturday, some on here would have been incandescent with rage. And how do you know that most weren't? I was certainly angry about it, but i also totally understood where the players were coming from. With our captain and the guy credited with propping up our midfield off the pitch as well as, when he's fit, our most likely scorer, nobody wanted to risk annoying Utd because they could and possibly would have punished us - it could only have taken one ball from Scholes to Berbatov. Doesn't make it right just as taking the ball into the corners against Wolves didn't feel right, but understandable yes. 3 points would have been great; 1 was still better than 0

I think a point against them is a good point and one I would have taken prior to the match so realistically, cant knock either players or manager for standing off Utd, to commit ourselves forward as Gumboots rightly states could have left us open for the telling ball, likewise for United, they had the title and sheer professionalism told them to take no risks.
PAFELL Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Kean is quoted in the press as saying that he's confident that we will "get at least a point" against Wolves. He does realise that we could still go down with Wolves in that situation----doesn't he? If we draw at wolves and go down. It would mean wolves and rovers go down and ALL the teams below us have won. Rovers goal average is better than wolves.
OscarRaven Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 If we draw at wolves and go down. It would mean wolves and rovers go down and ALL the teams below us have won. den Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Isn't that what he said? He does realise that we could still go down with Wolves in that situation----doesn't he? I don't know, but he'll probably be happy just to get another positive result.
chris Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I don't know, but he'll probably be happy just to get another positive result. If we lose he better not be positive lol "we are disappointed to get relegated after 6 positive results in 10 games."
John Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 If we lose he better not be positive lol "we are disappointed to get relegated after 6 positive results in 10 games." There are not many other teams in the league with 6 positive results in recent times - possibly the feel good factor is finally coming back? At least we are not bottom of the form guide anymore - Kean is improving
BigNuts Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Just read on twitter that Jean has been charged with drink driving Kean even
John Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean charged with drink-driving
den Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean charged with drink-driving Well that's another positive result. Fool.
RibbleValleyRover Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean charged with drink-driving Don't think Venky's will be too happy about this...
S15 Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 He did say he was confident of getting at least a point this weekend. Looks like he might get three.
BPF Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Gross negligence. Is there anything this man won't do to drag us through the mud? Get the fool out on Sunday after the game, regardless of the result.
Andy Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean charged with drink-driving I like to see somebody try to defend the imbecile for this one...
Ste B Posted May 16, 2011 Author Posted May 16, 2011 What a clown. Thats after he publicised that he was having some wine with Sir Alex.
tony gale's mic Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 That explains some of his decisions behind the wheel of Rovers.
67splitscreen Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Where was he going????? between Knutsford and Middlewich Southbound. Locals not good enough it seems.
Plastic Head Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean charged with drink-driving I have alluded to this before in previous posts but nobody has picked up my point and pushed me for more (possibly coz i'm a nob). My posts regarding the manager have been condemning, mocking and maybe abusive at times, but I have my reasons and perhaps know more than some about how the man operates. Venkys really could not have done more to get us relegated and continuation with this manager will result in the ruination of the club, rest assured.
tony gale's mic Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I have alluded to this before in previous posts but nobody has picked up my point and pushed me for more (possibly coz i'm a nob).. Er...I'm just as much against this man being manager as our club as anyone, but I'm pretty sure this is a big fat lie.
Ricky Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 He's just given venkys the chance to get shot of him if they want to.
Backroom Tom Posted May 16, 2011 Backroom Posted May 16, 2011 As bad a thing to do this could be good for us, it offers Venkys a way out should they want it without going back on what they have said previously.
