A cup of beans Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 To be fair to JW, he probably never thought Andrews would make as many appearances as he did. He probably thought he would never have to honour that agreement. But it was still the right thing to do on our part, if he worked hard and got a regular game, he should have moved onto a premiership wage. Which he somehow did. id've been wary of his relationship with ince. maybe JW shouldve been ??

davulsukur Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 And he was, which is why he didn't pay him a premier league wage until he played a certain amount of games. He could not have blocked the transfer as it would have undermined his manager. Back then we ran a club whereby the Chairman gave the manager full control of the squad. God knows what we run now.
braddock Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Im hoping for a vicious parting shot at the fans. They deserve it.
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Who is actually after Andrews then? Heard earlier 4 clubs are after him but yet to hear anything offical.
Amo Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Im hoping for a vicious parting shot at the fans. They deserve it. Shouldn't that be 'we'?
Speedie Dived Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 The same day we sell Keith Andrews, we sign Bradley Orr. Someone, somewhere, is having a laugh at us.
hesfromburn Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Shouldn't that be 'we'? Does Keith have a brother? It wasnt all the support that was a bit unfair to andrews it was just part. He clocked one with a water bottle so even stevens
Drover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 "Keith Andrews twin brother Kenneth spotted outside ewood"
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 West Brom in for Andrews according to SSN ....
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 SSN just confirmed sale agreed, he's now on his way for medical. Let's hope we get someone in as well.
rog of the rovers Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 If its any consolation, a mate of mine who is a Baggie is absolutely livid. Andrews, if you remember, was brought up through the Wolves system and has history with Albion and their fans. It may be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire for Keef!

I forgot about that, it seems so long ago, doubt they'll all forgive and forget though unless he gets off to a flying start!
Lurid Coat Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 At The Hawthorns now. Good luck, Keith - at least you'll be staying in the Premier League.
rhodie Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Believe Andrews been Booed by West Brom fans at training ground.
Stuart Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Believe Andrews been Booed by West Brom fans at training ground. I expect they're just making him welcome.
Eddie Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Best of luck to him, he didn't deserve all of the stick that he got, but never a premier league player and it is good to see the back of him.
Backroom Tom Posted January 31, 2012 Backroom Posted January 31, 2012 Good luck Keith enjoy the premier league next season
Devon Rover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Glad he has gone. Nothing against the bloke but not good enough. Every time I saw his name on the team sheet my heart sank. Like a few others he was adding nothing to the team now and only taking up wages. Some of the deadwood being gotten rid of is a good thing.
Clockwork Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Officially announced now on West Brom site. http://www.wba.co.uk/page/News/0,,10366~2595788,00.html
Backroom DE. Posted January 31, 2012 Backroom Posted January 31, 2012 Loves Andrews, does Roy. Why were we making Andrews wait earlier if it was a free transfer?
grizfoot Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Always conducted himself in a professional manner just a shame he wasn't that talented as a footballer. Just commented on SSN that the club is a completely different one to the one a couple of seasons back, most of us wouldn't argue with him on that. Good luck Keith!
BuckyRover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I can't wait for him to have a great game for WBA and for people to ask why we sold him.
Drover Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I can't wait for him to have a great game for WBA and for people to ask why we sold him. Knowing this forum that is inevitable
Hughesy Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Good luck to him - glad we have got rid of him, Roberts & Nelsen. Offer us very little
