hesfromburn Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Shearer?? Really!!! Honestly may aswell stick with kean. Wouldnt want to tarnish his legacy. Im a "dingle" because I dont agree and wind up some of you girls on here. I live 2 mins from ewood and when ever I have the money I try to go to every home game. I may not be as hardcore as some its been 3 years since an away game. But I know where my passion lies. On match days I honestly think the majority view that is porytayed on here until recently was the minority. I would say its now getting 50/50.
rebelmswar Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Walking in a Shearer wonderland!!!!! I think that would be a very astute move by Venkeys, usher out Shearer before a presser to bore the assembled journalists to sleep, then Kean is unleashed for his next stream of foaming untruths and misnomers. Crafty.

You get grief because you minused a load of Jack Walker posts and you haven't explained why.
Gav Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Shearer?? Really!!! Honestly may aswell stick with kean. Wouldnt want to tarnish his legacy. I'd rather stick with Kean also, I'm sure Shearer puts the rumours out himself to help boost his popularity, he turned down one job recently and the club hadn't even approached him!
hesfromburn Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Because people were using that thread to bash venkys..like every other thread which p*ssed me off. So i decided to p*ss them off and they did bite realised it was a turd sandwich then they bit again. And I dont mean 50 percent are pro kean, just 50 are either giving him more time or would prefer to sit on hands than protest

I can think of a reason to minus Jack walker posts, and plenty of former employees have long memories Matty, so its not an exact science now is it.
Amo Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 how can they appoint someone worse? First step: Don't try and reason with waggy on BRFC managers. He does speak true about the protests. Venky's should be the ones getting the flak. They hired Kean and they're keeping him in a job.

RovertheHill Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Shearer? The (sensible) things quoted on here about Kean being unfit are generally to do with his experience and his win % ratio. Well Shearer has managed for 8 games with a win % of 12.5%, which makes Kean look like some kind of genius. Frying pan and fire I think...
Mattyblue Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I can think of a reason to minus Jack walker posts, Do tell...
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I can think of a reason to minus Jack walker posts There's no flipping reason, those posts were paying tribute to the death of the only person as important as this club.
Gav Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 There's no flipping reason, those posts were paying tribute to the death of the only person as important as this club. No idea about the posts in question, didn't see them, I'm just saying that not everyone holds Jack Walker in such high regard as the majority do on here.
RibbleValleyRover Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I have no problem with the minority voting the way they have. But I would ask those who believe that 'We might as well stick with Kean, we won't get anyone better in' this: Blackburn Rovers are a premier league club, playing in a league that is considered to be one of the elite football competitions in the world. From a squad standpoint there are clear weaknesses in central midfield but we do have some talented players in the squad in several areas. The owners have provided some financial backing in the past, not a lot but some and they do claim they want to invest more in the future. With that being considered do you honestly think we won't be able to attract some decent calibre managers? There will be some good managers with a lot to prove who will apply for this job if it becomes available. I accept Venky's might employ the worst possible candidate from a decent list, but we will attract managers who can do a better job. And when it's blatantly obvious Rovers will not survive under Kean do you not think it's worth the gamble?

I agree that there would be managers who are very good who might be interested, I point to the lower leagues like Dougie Freedman, Karl Robinson etc. However Venkys would never hire them, they would choose Walter Smith, Keegan over them anyday. When you say good managers with a lot to prove, who do you mean? and would Venkys really give them a chance?
booth Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Venkys have also been very loyal and supportive to the man they've appointed. Now if he could actually manage, that wouldn't be a bad thing. I'm sure that must be a good thing to potential candidates, considering Kean has done a terrible job and continues to be rewarded with more time and support from them. Let's also not forget that with a better manager, we would have been able to attract better players.
Steve Moss Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 And when it's blatantly obvious Rovers will not survive under Kean do you not think it's worth the gamble? There is no risk. Kean will relegate us. Any other manager will either lead us to safety or relegate us. Same downside either way, with a possible upside if we replace Kean. Ergo, no risk is replacing Kean. If Venkys want to maximize chances of Premier League survival, they'll sack Kean and bring in Hughes, MON, or Curbishley. They are the most likely to succeed.

I've been trying to get that point across for a while, I just didn't find words as good as those.

Damned if we don't, possibility of damnation if we do. God may not play dice but we do and those are odds worth betting on. First time I have agreed with an ex boat rider.
Backroom Tom Posted October 25, 2011 Backroom Posted October 25, 2011 I asked my son what he thought, I was impressed with his response to say he's only 5 months http://i.imgur.com/P7xKR.jpg
gazsimm Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 the 5 numpties who are saying give Kean more time, probably know as much about football then the same as Kean does!
Emge Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Kean: "(...) They've started very well and they're unbeaten but they're coming to Ewood and I think Tottenham will tell you there's not too many teams that enjoy coming to Ewood." Is that really so, Steve? I think you'll find both Wolves, Everton, Tottenham and of course Man City all enjoyed our friendly hospitality on Ewood And we are only in october.................
DanielMB Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Aston Villa have suspended Barry Bannan on suspicion of driving under the influence. Venkys could learn something here http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11677_7265795,00.html
